  1. Fifty years ago? I was in Viet Nam.

It doesn't seem that anyone has learned a thing in all that time.

  4. We watch a lot of old movies on TCM. Politicians, radicals, unions, criminals (I know they could all fit under the criminal umbrella) say, do and complain about the same things whether the movie is from the 30s or 50s.

History repeats itself or, the problems/issues rarely change.

  5. Fifty years ago there were real newspapers. Al Capp (Lil' Abner)and Walt Kelly (Pogo)were the highlight of the comics page for me.

  7. After 8 years of the Trump presidency, those stewed-ents will be so whipped, they’ll all report to the local police station, requesting arrest, after accidentally letting Old Glory touch the ground.
