There are so many things to be thankful for, er, for which to be thankful.
Life comes at you fast. I, like most folks, have a plate full of problems to deal with every day. But with faith in God, a loving and supportive family and friends, and that spark inside me that just forces me to see and hope for the best for my home, family, and country, I just keep on driving on.
What a great (and sly!) photo to accompany your post. I can't remember who (not, I think, Aussie Tim Blair) but there was a blogger who took the time to slam MSM journos, and there were MANY of them, who passed along the "plastic turkey" story. They all considered it a terrific metaphor. So did we-a terrific metaphor of how the press had an agenda.
You were right the first time, it was indeed Aussie Tim Blair!
He had a lot of fun with that recurring theme, the "plastic turkey" going hand-in-hand with the Fake Media, and how a lie can travel 'round the world before the truth can get its boots on!
Even left-wing Snopes notes the mean spirited use of the fake "plastic turkey" meme by media to undermine Pres Bush. (For anyone shaking their head, "what was the Plastic Turkey controversy?") https://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/turkey.asp
Thanksgiving from Regensburg in Germany! So nice to be able to travel to other countries and see their long, long histories of oppression, both by local Rulers and Catholic Popes and bishops from ages ago; and relate that back to how wise were our Founders in creating the United States and its second form of self-Government.
I am thankful for God, 49+ years of marriage, 2 great 'children' and 5 beautiful grandchildren. I'm also thankful Trump won the election and has the will, energy and good humor to MAGA. And last but never least, thank GOD for Don Surber, whose observations have helped me weather all the dirty politics.
On this Thanksgiving day, I am thankful to Allah that he has given us President Donald J Trump, to lead the country and the world. libby (liberals used to be the tolerant ones), Muslim for Trump because I have more faith in Trump helping the Muslim world become prosperous and peaceful than I ever expected it from previous potus
Know what I'm thankful for? 29 cents a pound turkey. Good grief, that's ridiculous. Back in the day I'd get it for 19 cents a pound. Inflation adjusted, a better deal today. Thanks to Big D and y'all, we're MTGA! Know what I'm sayin?
I am thankful for so much. God has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams. I am mostly thankful for my great family - wife of 31 years, my kids (and their husbands) and first grand child this year. I am thankful for Don’s blog and the community of readers. I am thankful for our country electing PDJT. I am thankful for the other conservative blogs that Keep me positive. I am thankful to have made it this far and hope I have a long way to go.
I'm so very thankful that I have friends all around the world, two great children with families of their own, and the company of people who I love but have never met- such as the proprietor of this wonderful blog, Don Surber!
Now if I can just live through this day without suffocating on Pumpkin Spice.... LOL!
Happy Thanksgiving!
