Guy who never served calls four-star general a disgrace to the uniform

Luis Gutiérrez -- a Democrat congressman who never served in the military -- had the temerity to call Marine general a disgrace to the uniform.

What uniform did Luis Gutiérrez ever wear?

Girl Scout?

Gutiérrez is a spiteful ward-heeler from Chicago who kissed up to Mayor Harold Washington for a seat in Congress.

The congressman attacked Marine General John Francis Kelly.

General Kelly earned:
The Defense Distinguished Service Medal
The Defense Superior Service Medal
The Legion of Merit (2) with Valor
Plus a whole bunch of other awards for his uniform.

Gutiérrez didn't receive a uniform.

You know, I was not much of a soldier, but at least I served.

I would not call anyone a disgrace to the uniform. OK, maybe Bradley/Chelsea Manning.

But we pretty much reserve to comments about who is and who is not a disgrace to the uniform those who actually wore one. They know. Hack congressmen don't.

From the Hill:
"General Kelly is a hypocrite who is a disgrace to the uniform he used to wear. He has no honor and should be drummed out of the White House along with the white supremacists and those enabling the President’s actions by ‘just following orders,' " Gutiérrez said in a scathing statement, shortly after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration policy will be phased out.
The real disgrace is Chicago sending this bum Gutiérrez to Congress.

  2. He hears but he does not listen. Gutierrez has now been tasked with protecting these people. DO YOUR JOB. And time to stop with the racism canard.

    1. With all due respect lardschlong, the race card has worn out most of its effectiveness and as such, the new attack word is white supremacist or white nationalist which is also losing much of its usefulness.

  4. Gutiérrez is an execrable PoS. Like all rabid Democrats he attackes the person, not the policy. One day, hopefully soon, Karma will come looking for him. Choking on his own bile and venom sounds appropriate. - Elric

  5. Don, you left out that Kelly's son, a 2nd Lt was killed in Afghanistan in 2010 by a IED. Rep Gutierrez's comments are despicable and ignorant.

  6. In his Kelly rant mini Tribune of the People G also said he would take the fight to the streets. Maybe there he will don the Banderilla Rosa and sliver spurs, rush the barricades astride his snorting Palomino.
The younger Democrats seem to be employing ever more shrill rhetoric and violent imagery. I hope they morph their true feeling into reality soon, with the cameras rolling. Nothing could be better for them or the rest of us.

  7. And the president who had five deferments from the Vietnam War (heel spurs-pathetic) says he knows more about ISIS than any general ... not to mention he has also public shamed individual generals as well. Yep, a disgusting comment by Gutiérrez about those who served. Plenty of similar disgusting comments served up by Rs as well.

    1. It appears that you would like to pull in Trump's service as part of Gutierrez comments. That's like attaching the debt ceiling to the Harvey relief aid bill. Yes, I realize they don't match but you don't.

    2. Actually this afternoon, Trump sided - and bragged about it - about working with Pelosi and Schurmer (sp?) about finalizing the debt ceiling bill in the name of securing Harvey relief aid. As for "pull in Trump's service" comment. What service by Trump? That's the whole point. For every D that makes a fool of himself for bad-mouthing those who have served, there is an R doing the same.

    3. So what? Trump's non-service earned the same reaction as Bush's service from you lying Leftists. So go f*ck yourself.

    4. Actually Bush served. They were sending TANG to Vietnam when he signed up. Quickest way to be a combat pilot (like Dad) was National Guard. If you notice, he tried to be like his father
