Trump rolls back racist Obama policy

For more than a half-century, federal law has banned racial and sexual discrimination. Employers are supposed to hire and promote based on ability, not skin tone or sex.

President Obama, however, wanted employers to consider race and sex.

President Trump just rolled that back.

Guess which man the media treats as racist.

From the Los Angeles Times:
The White House has halted an Obama administration rule that would require businesses to report worker pay data by gender, race and ethnic groups in hopes of narrowing wage gaps among workers.
The plan was announced by President Obama in early 2016 and was set to take effect early next year.
But the Trump administration, siding with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and others, contended that the data collection would be too burdensome for firms and questioned how effective the information might be in fighting wage discrimination.
Critics of the White House move, which came in a memo from the Office of Management and Budget on Tuesday, were outraged.
“Make no mistake — it’s an all-out attack on equal pay,” Fatima Goss Graves, president of the National Women’s Law Center, said in a statement. “Today’s action sends a clear message to employers: If you want to ignore pay inequities and sweep them under the rug, this administration has your back.”
The plan would have expanded a 2014 executive order that the Labor Department collect wage data by gender, race and ethnicity from federal contractors.
People are not their race -- or sex -- or ethnicity.

Let us quit judging them by that, OK?

If this rule is so important, why did Obama not employ it while he was president? Why did he delay it until a year after he left office?

We know why: it is a bad rule.

The intent of Obama was to set up quotas on some other president's watch, and to continue dividing the nation by race and sex.

To hell with that.

Please enjoy my books on how the press bungled the 2016 election.

  1. I'm not much of a fan of the US Chamber of Commerce, given that they'd just as soon have illegal aliens cross over the border so they can have cheap labor.
That said, I agree with the rule being dropped. Not because it might be too burdensome, but because it's just too doggone nosey.

    1. Agree. I used to send the COC a little money now and then. Not any more. Those bastards need to right their ship. Looks to me like the USS John McCain presently.

  2. Another Obama land-mine, cleared, defused, and blown up safely.

    1. Just what I was thinking (below), but said much more artfully. Thanks Sam.

    2. Have you ever seen "The Hurt Locker?" President Trump is SSG William James, going where the bad guys (Obama and his fellow travelers) have planted IEDs and either defusing them or blowing them sky high. The best part is that he truly seems to enjoy it. POTUS Donald J. Trump is our man. - Elric

  3. There have been equal pay laws on the books for decades. They're very difficult to enforce, but the issue pulls votes for Dems each election.

The Internet has proven to be wonderful for myself and all my post-WWII-Baby-Boom friends. We retired early, sick of the nonsensical rules at businesses where those that did little work complained and make it impossible for those of us that did the work. The Inernet knows no quotas. For now it cannot distinguish the users age, ethnicity, or gender. So those of us that have retired can live better on 1/3'rd of what we used to take home, by using the Internet to educate ourselves on everything we purchase from car batteries to medications. We can research matters relating to our health as opposed to depending on the overload of inept doctors in America that exist to write prescriptions as most are unable to correctly diagnose symptoms with any consistency (there are numerous health insurance studies detailing this epidemic).

As apps for cell phones and the Internet continue to evolve, those that believe they have to politic to allow the individual to make his/her/its own decisions can bypass silly things like the Obama regulation noted above. Those of us that believe in personal responsibility, think critically and have common sense can live high quality lives. Now.

The generation that said - "don't trust anyone over 30" has now realized - "trust very few that are under 60...especially those that have multiple college degrees".

  4. Oh, and about this latest revelation about The Black Jesus (turn off your radio if you have kids on this site):

Only the most America-hating motherfucking so-called President of all time would pull shit like this. The motherfucker planted IEDs, that ISIS smumotherfucker, for the future of our Republic. String that skinny grinning clueless motherfucker up.

  5. The hell with that....and the hell with him.

  6. I just want to know what the racial, gender and ethnic breakdown of the LA Times editorial board. Is it representative of the community it claims to serve?

    1. I saw a picture of the Washington Post's editorial writers in their offices celebrating record clicks after they wrote a (false) story accusing President Trump of evil doing. There were about 20 people - I believe all were white men, mostly in their 20's and 30's.

Have a look at a photo of the White House press corps as they attack Ms. Saunders each day. They are primarily white men and white women.
