Tip to pundits

Wait 24 hours and see what happened in Charlottesville, Virginia, before opining.

Here's how it works: You take facts, and use your experience and education to form an opinion.

Until you have facts, you are just pandering and virtue signaling.

  1. But, DANG IT, Don, it's so FREAKIN' OBVIOUS!!111!
Because the first emotional response is the one that'll get us in trouble. Too little and/or too much information are both likely to be present, and point in wrong directions. Flying off the handle when you're full of baloney or misinformation...

  2. It's very simple. In the immediate aftermath of an event like this, anyone who knows anything ain't talking. And with VERY FEW exceptions, anyone who is talking, don't know anything.

The reason is that most of the people, other than a very few immediate witnesses are connected to the event due to their positions, usually law enforcement, etc. They are not going to talk about it until cleared to do so. It is also a fact that eye-witness testimony is very unreliable.

    So, yeah, Don is right.

Wait for things to settle down and the fog of immediacy to clear a little.

Then you have some hope of getting reasonably accurate information.

    Maybe.

  3. I had to turn off the news with their one sided reporting. The right had a permit, the Antifa Fascists that attacked them did not. The right were stupid and played into the hands of the left with their anti-Jewish and white lives matter chants and their far right speakers. Since I have been called a Nazi for no reason other than I oppose the progressives agenda, the labels thrown around are, IMO, all to ideologically based.

  5. Why would the pundits listen to someone who lives in an uncultured cesspool, got the election and gets current presidency?

  7. "Facts times experience and education equals opinion"

Are you sure about that equation?

That would mean that facts equals opinion over (experience and education).

In other words, facts are directly proportional to opinion, and inversely proportional to both experience and education.

    Just saying.

    1. I went ahead and rewrote it. Facts x (experience + education) = opinion

  8. You can't expect Leftists to use facts when "Fewings" are all that matter.

  9. These fights between two groups of Biff Tannens used to take place behind the drive-in after the movie ended. Everyone generally knew it was going to happen, at least for a few days, but most drove out of the exit on their way to the A&W. We always found out who won in the coming week, at least in the opinion of the one telling the story.

As I recall, life went on and we eventually ended up with flat screens and swap meets.

  10. I heard a gaggle of big city lefties this morning squawking loudly about the events yesterday in Charlottesville. If there is a more intolerant, closed minded, insufferable, and loud group in this country, I don't know who it is. Most of them naturally were clutching their Sunday morning holy scripture and I'm not talking about the Bible (no need for me to be specific, of course).

    1. Here is a handy website for you. https://www.attacksontrumpsupporters.com

Of course it will do no good with leftards. They are all psychopaths who are really beginning to remind me of Charlie Manson and his "family".

    2. Thanks! "Leftards" I like it and need to blend this into future raving and ranting

  11. Meanwhile, let's make a list of all the killers and attempted killers of the last 8 years with their political affiliation.

    Lest they forget.

  12. read a report that a protester had thrown a rock at the car, causing it to veer into the crowd.

  13. I had an opinion even before the excrement hit the air moving device in Charlottesville. On one side you have neo-Nazi racist assholes. On the other side you have Marxist racist assholes. A pox on both their houses.

  14. This will complicate the narrative

Evidently the MSM are waiting to figure out how to spin things given the gal that was killed was white

  15. It is a breaking story, so other than reporting on it and condemning the violence, you have to wait for additional facts. That is how "breaking" stories play out.

  16. If the police had allowed the rally to happen as planned, the guy from Ohio would have been there instead of in his car. The accident happened at three blocks away from the park, in the opposite direction from where the rally attempted to continue - the larger McIntire Park.
