EPA official won't be missed

Elizabeth Southerland retired from her job at the EPA by flipping the bird to President Trump.

She spent 30 years at the EPA, most recently as director of the Office of Science and Technology for the agency’s Water Office.

Given that the EPA ruined the Animas River thank God and Greyhound she is gone then.

On her way out, she posted a letter online at one of those Defiant Girl websites.

The letter said in part:
Today the environmental field is suffering from the temporary triumph of myth over truth. The truth is there is NO war on coal, there is NO economic crisis caused by environmental protection, and climate change IS caused by man’s activities. It may take a few years and even an environmental disaster, but I am confident that Congress and the courts will eventually restore all the environmental protections repealed by this administration because the majority of the American people recognize that this protection of public health and safety is right and it is just.
She lied.

She flat-out lied when she said there is no war on coal.

She lied not to convince anyone of anything, but to show that leftists -- Marxists - can lie with impunity.

Saying there is no war on coal is another way of saying F-U, there's a war on coal, and there is nothing you can do about it.

Last November 8, we showed Southerland and her ilk that there is plenty we can do about it.

Now she finds we have an EPA administrator who will not use Fake Environmentalism to block American industry.

From the Hill:
An EPA spokesman questioned the timing of Southerland stepping down.
"It's hard to believe that Elizabeth Southerland is retiring because of a budget proposal and not because she's eligible for her government pension,” EPA spokesman Jahan Wilcox told Environment & Energy Publishing in an email.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

  1. The EPA is a ripoff of the taxpayer, giving high pay and lifetime pensions and health care to leftist bullshitters.
You know this no war on coal crap is just the same as their mantra for the past 30 years that there's no bias in the press, or no fraud in elections.

You can bet your ass that if a leftist says something, even if there is a misleading kernel of truth in it, that the purpose in saying it is to mislead or lie. And this use of leftist includes the press.

  2. Unfortunately we, the taxpayers, will be paying for Southerland's gold plated pension likely for decades to come.

  3. Wildlife is exploding around here because of mild warming (as the earth came out of the LIA), increased rainfall and the recovery of CO2 back toward earth-normal levels (it still has a long way to go).

  4. Mind not the order of your going; just GO.

  5. She needs to take thousands like her with her. And she had the nerve to say "It may take a few years and even an environmental disaster...". Yes, our recent environmental disasters ARE man made, as Don said, some even by the EPA (Animas River).

  6. Just another bureaucrat putting the little people in their place.

The SS was full of them.

    1. Boom. Good facial, Ed. It really is amazing seeing the ability of these people to reprogram their minds so as to justify the Righteousness Of Their Cause. Do any of them ever admit to themselves that, yeah, I'm a stinking bureaucrat, but hey, it's a living? Snowball's chance of that, methinks.

  7. Guess she hadn't heard her President say that he, in essence, was going to put the coal companies out of business by his actions.

  8. I have a couple of Navajo friends that were financially ruined by that spill.
Good riddance-too bad someone isn't going to jail over the Animas spill..
