Firing Mueller

President Trump needs to fire Robert Mueller -- but in a manner in which his enemies in Congress do not turn around and hire the Big Leak back.

Trump has to make Mueller too toxic to touch.

The plan is to investigate the investigator.

From the New York Times:
President Trump’s lawyers and aides are scouring the professional and political backgrounds of investigators hired by the special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, looking for conflicts of interest they could use to discredit the investigation — or even build a case to fire Mr. Mueller or get some members of his team recused, according to three people with knowledge of the research effort.
The search for potential conflicts is wide-ranging. It includes scrutinizing donations to Democratic candidates, investigators’ past clients and Mr. Mueller’s relationship with James B. Comey, whose firing as F.B.I. director is part of the special counsel’s investigation.
The effort to investigate the investigators is another sign of a looming showdown between Mr. Trump and Mr. Mueller, who has assembled a team of high-powered prosecutors and agents to examine whether any of Mr. Trump’s advisers aided Russia’s campaign to disrupt last year’s presidential election.
Some of the investigators have vast experience prosecuting financial malfeasance, and the prospect that Mr. Mueller’s inquiry could evolve into an expansive examination of Mr. Trump’s financial history has stoked fears among the president’s aides. Both Mr. Trump and his aides have said publicly they are watching closely to ensure Mr. Mueller’s investigation remains narrowly focused on last year’s election.
During an interview with The New York Times on Wednesday, Mr. Trump said he was aware that members of Mr. Mueller’s team had potential conflicts of interest and would make the information available “at some point.”
I would not go for recusal.

Instead, I would garner enough rumor and innuendo to appoint a special counsel to investigate Mueller and his team of corrupt lawyers. Preet Bharara? Really? He belongs in jail for that multi-billion-dollar get-of-jail slush fund he ran as U.S, attorney for Southern Manhattan. CEOs paid into a government fund to avoid criminal prosecution. The Democrats then disbursed the money to their friendly "charities."

  1. Trump fights. The swamp creatures have no idea.

  2. Agreed. Mueller's club is the judicial branch of the Clinton/Comey foundation. The Swamp/media is mis-interpreting the Sessions stuff. Look at who were granted the interviews, rather than the message. Notice the number of "leaks", both sides, has been muted in the last week? Conspicuous by it's absence. As an example, Little Bennie at LawFare is resorting to RSVP Google polls to support his narrative and leaks of Comey's junk.

  3. Maybe insist on a special council to investigate the Clinton Global Fund (s) and allegations of pay-to-play while she was SOS. That would likely ensnare the DNC "hack" , every big donor, and all those who Mueller just put on his "team". Go for the throat and take 'em all out.

  4. You fight slime with slime. Using Alinsky tactics against the Alinsky-ites. Mueller thought he was untouchable and his fake reputation in DC. All lies. And his mob of apparatchiks. Thugs gotta thug and are surprised when thugged right back at their head. He could avoid being ruined if he would just quit. And Rosenstein needs to resign. He is either stupid and a dupe or in on it all. Both unacceptable.

  5. Trump has been hurt by the constant media hate/lies/exaggerations/hypocrisy and they are constantly poised to pounce, whether it's on a handshake or scoop of ice cream or firing somebody. Now, I don't think Trump has been hurt as badly as the Media and the Democrats desire or even imagine (because even in their polls designed to show how everybody everywhere hates Trump, he's still in the mid to upper 30's -- and that's with all of the Democrats despising him even more than they despise every single Republican anyway, meaning that 50% against Trump is likely in any poll ... but pollsters always poll more Democrats than Republicans besides).

In other words, Trump can survive the media ... but it isn't wise to give them even more to rant about and use to convince the people that they're on to something. I believe Mueller is out to get Trump and won't stop ever until he finds something or someone makes a mistake in something they remember or something -- but I don't think Trump can keep beating the media if he fires Mueller. I think if he fires Mueller a lot of people who now think the media and Mueller are out to get him out of raging political hatred will start to think that maybe he really is like Nixon because of Nixon's firings.

I still don't know why nobody in the GOP is forcing the DOJ to investigate Hillary's campaign and the Russians???!!!??? That focus and resulting leaks would sure help the narrative.

    1. You must be one of Mueller's thugs.

    2. @keith vlascik You must be one of Mueller's diptwits.

    3. I don't believe in commenting anonymously and have commented before here -- meaning you can look and figure out for yourself what I am ... If it's just expressing your displeasure with my comment by calling me names, then you've done it. Mission accomplished.

    4. Keith Vlasak: Contrary to Anonymous A and B, I don't have ant major disagreement with what you wrote. I would go further and say that the President has not learned that his failure to notify his senior people of his decisions before the media does is disruptive to his AND we deplorable's goals. Trump's public twitter personal attacks also feed the media and the President constantly steps on his own message because of it. I managed large projects and I find it hard to believe that Trump micromanaged his public communications like this when he was a builder. If he did I missed it.

  6. The reason Mueller had to hire all Clinton cronies is because any person with integrity faced with a total lack of evidence would have ended this charade months ago. The only people he can count on to continue to drag it out until they find a mistake or make one up.. are Clinton crooks.

So he had to hire them.

Now lets hang him with that decision.

An effective way to fight a forest fire is to light a back fire. It is time to light one. Open an investigation into Hildebeast's dealings as SOS and her pay to play scams. It will lead, and quickly too, to some of the scum on Mueller' s team. When they start to feel the heat enough, they will run. Cockroaches always do.

  8. Mueller's firing can be done on the basis of gross incompetence in the area of fairness and objectivity beyond plausible.

  9. Enter Scaramucci stage right, exit Spicer stage left.

Trump tried it the establishment way for 6 months. The only one mentioning Trump's positive accomplishments on behalf of the American people was Trump in his tweets - which the establishment and media demanded he stop. Wonder why?

Trump train is leaving the establishment station. The American people remain on board. Would-be hijackers and their Quislings are being kicked off.

  10. Yes! Fire this SOB now. He is working with the democrats to try and destroy Trump, and Trump is our last chance at sanity in government by the people and for the people.

  11. It seems the NYT cannot make it's case on this on. To anyone willing to listen it's clear:Mueller's only job is to get Trump....Hillary is still being protected
