    As a volunteer fire fighter in a rural area within a national forest, I WISH wildfires were down but you can't fix stupid.

  4. In Re Wildfires:

    I wonder if the drop is due to better forest management. I am from Michigan and I can tell you that the old style lumbering left a lot of brush and slash on the ground that fueled wildfires so bad ships on the lakes were in hazard - lack of visibility because of the smoke.
