CNN's Islamophobic Muslim

All the kewl kids in the media hate President Trump, and Anushay Hossain, a native Bangladeshi Muslim, is one of the kewlest.

CNN, Forbes, the New York Times, MSNBC, CBS News, Al-Jazeera English, PBS, Hearst TV, NPR, and Sirius XM radio call her need some serious Trump-bashing, howls of Islamophobia, or a little bit of both.

But she may have done herself in, as she indulged in a bit of Islamophobia in her latest bash on Trump.

Hossain wrote for CNN:
The ugly truth behind Saudi Arabia's love for Melania Trump
Donald Trump's first major trip overseas may be fraught with diplomatic land mines for the President, but the Trump administration can at least comfort itself with the clear hit that Melania Trump has been with the Saudi press.
The fact that Melania is communicating with the media and the public in Saudi Arabia -- mainly through what Saudi news reports have deemed her "classy and conservative" fashion choices -- works well in the notoriously anti-woman kingdom. Her intense appeal makes sense, considering the first lady represents so much that Saudi citizens find familiar and can relate to, especially visually. Melania walks behind her husband, is quiet and reserved, does not make obvious demands (at least not ones we can hear), and most importantly, she looks beautiful and polished.
All of that should come as no surprise, given whom Melania is married to. After all, how the Saudi government likes women to behave is similar to how Donald Trump has said he likes women to behave. And they both prefer women to look pretty in pictures, rather than hold actual positions of power.
And on and on.

But Hossain did not think this one through.

The reason the Saudi government does all these bad things to women is called Islam.

Like Iran, Saudi Arabia is a theocracy. Both carry out the doctrine of Islam.

Indeed, Saudi Arabia is the literal mecca of the Islamic religion. Muslims are supposed to make pilgrimages to Mecca every so often.

If Hossain did, then she would walk behind her husband, where a veil at all times, and otherwise submit to males in a religion that is based on submission, not free will.

That is the reality of the Muslim faith.

Far from being subservient to The Donald, Melania is an independent woman who can handle herself. She sees her role as first lady as a position she neither sought not earned, but one whose duties she nevertheless carries out because she is a patriotic American.

Hossain's column undercuts her numerous screeds against Islamophobia by making the argument that her religion is harsh (by Western standards) in its treatment of women. She loves to decry how Americans treat Muslims, and yet given the choice, she does not live in her homeland of Bangladesh, which is 90 percent Muslim.

What also is interesting is Hossain did not mention the woman who also knocked out the Saudis -- Ivanka Trump.

She's Jewish.

The Saudi royals accepted her, and seemed to enjoy her company.

The world is changing -- some may say evolving -- and the Marxist liberalism that Hossain promotes is being left behind in favor of something that works.

President Trump and his wife, Melania, represent that -- as do his sons and daughters.

The world sees that and embraces it -- and that includes those in the heart of Islam.

On November 8, 2016, the American people said, "Trump the Establishment!"

Now read the book that explains how and why the press missed this historic election.

It is available on Kindle, and in paperback.

And then read the original, "Trump the Press," which chronicled and mocked how the media missed Trump's nomination.

It is available on Kindle, and in paperback

  2. HO-ssain mistakes the class displayed by Melania Trump as subservience. She is just not very bright.

  3. Only time will tell, but there are signs that there may be a sea change coming in the Muslim world. They may have no choice. The international markets for sand and camels is notoriously weak. Fracking has really put them in a tight spot and now President Trump has suggested selling off half of our strategic petroleum reserve over a long-term period as well as increasing drilling, especially in Alaska. That will further decrease oil prices. - Elric

  4. Melania is so subservient to her husband, the President of the United States, that she told him she would not move immediately into the White House in January but would continue to live in NYC until their son had finished the school year. When it comes to The Donald, Melania has him wrapped around her little finger and all he can say to her is, "Yes, dear, whatever you wish."

  5. I know Anushay Hossain personally, and candidly, she is not a bright person. Her idiotic comments do not surprise me at all.

  6. I know Anushay personally as well and think she is extremely intelligent. That is pretty low to say what you did anonymously.

  7. Love the opinions penned by Hossain, a moderate intelligent and modern Muslim voice among journalists
