Voters believe Trump will fulfill his promises, poll shows

A liberal poll that shows most voters approve of the job President Trump is doing (50% to 45%) also shows the public is confident that he will achieve most of his agenda -- an agenda they agree with.

The findings in the Politico/Morning Consult poll of 1,992 registered voters should hearten his supporters, and encourage Congress to board the Trump Train.

One section of the poll asked 10 questions that "Here are some things Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress have said they would like to accomplish during the next year. How likely is it that each of the following are accomplished?"

  1. Renegotiating trade deals with other countries. 66% said likely, 23% said not likely.
  2. Repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act, sometimes referred to as Obamacare 65% said likely, 27% said not likely.
  3. Replacing the Affordable Care Act, sometimes referred to as Obamacare. 62% said likely, 29% said not likely.
  4. Passing a comprehensive tax reform bill. 56% said likely, 32% said not likely.
  5. Passing an infrastructure spending bill. 62% said likely, 25% said not likely.
  6. Removing environmental and energy regulations put in place by President Obama. 67% said likely, 22% said not likely.
  7. Constructing a wall along the U.S. / Mexico border. 46% said likely, 44% said not likely.
  8. Reducing the total amount of immigrants allowed into the United States. 71% said likely, 19% said not likely.
  9. Creating a paid family leave program. 50% said likely, 38% said not likely.
  10. Creating new jobs in the manufacturing industry. 59% said likely, 31% said not likely.

Yes we can.

So with exception of The Wall, a majority believe he will accomplish his goals.

Nine out of ten ain't bad.

And most people think what he promised are good things to do.

A section of the poll asked: "Which would best describe your feelings if Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress accomplish each of the following during the next year?"

  1. Renegotiating trade deals with other countries. 62% said GOOD, 18% said bad.
  2. Repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act, sometimes referred to as Obamacare 50% said GOOD, 37% said bad.
  3. Replacing the Affordable Care Act, sometimes referred to as Obamacare. 53% said GOOD, 33% said bad.
  4. Passing a comprehensive tax reform bill. 65% said GOOD, 16% said bad.
  5. Passing an infrastructure spending bill. 68% said GOOD, 12% said bad.
  6. Removing environmental and energy regulations put in place by President Obama. 42% said GOOD, 42% said bad.
  7. Constructing a wall along the U.S. / Mexico border. 46% said GOOD, 41% said bad.
  8. Reducing the total amount of immigrants allowed into the United States. 54% said GOOD, 33% said bad.
  9. Creating a paid family leave program. 71% said GOOD, 11% said bad.
  10. Creating new jobs in the manufacturing industry. 82% said GOOD, 8% said bad.

Despite the expert opinions of those in Washington and Manhattan, not only do Americans believe we can revive manufacturing (59% to 31%) but they also believe such a revival is a good thing -- 82% to 8%.

Overall, the public agrees that nine of his ten promises are good things, and split evenly on the tenth.

President Trump's ideas have more support than he does!

For Obama, things ran the opposite direction.

  4. So, normal or rational/sane offenders, aka the media, establishment GOP, Democrats, and Deep/Dark State, would look at those results and:

    1. Modify their tactics and accept the will of the people. This, of course, implies that they would grow up and be adults, perhaps moving on to MAGA.

    2. Double/Triple/Quadruple Dog Down with attacks to force their opinion/worldview on the little stupid people.

    Choose 1 o 2.

Keep in mind that Politico/Morning Consult did the poll, who have probably the worst reputation for propaganda/agenda polling. It's probably a safe bet that the "Wall" is waaaaay up there in terms of positive sentiment, as well as the other questions.
