Carlson asked him about his tweet on March 4: "Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my "wires tapped" in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!"
That came the day after Andrew McCarthy of National review reported the Obama administration had a FISA warrant to tap a server at Trump Tower in October.
Tonight, President Trump addressed that.

'But wiretap covers a lot of different things,' Trump told Carlson when asked about Trump's tweet claiming Trump Tower was wiretapped.
'I think you’re going to find some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next 2 weeks,' Trump said.
Trump's comment fits with a statement by White House press secretary Sean Spicer Tuesday claiming that Trump would ultimately be proven correct.
'There is significant reporting about surveillance techniques that have existed throughout the 2016 election. I’ll leave it to them to issue their report, but I think he feels very confident that what will ultimately come of this will vindicate him,' Spicer said.Barack Obama is still butt-hurt over Donald Trump replacing him. Obama bit on that stupid Birther Issue that Trump pushed in 2011. I have said all along that even if he were born in Kenya (highly unlikely) he would qualify for the presidency. After all, John McCain was born in Panama.
But rather than let it go, Obama insisted on feuding.
Trump usually wins his feuds. Ask Rosie O'Donnell.
By the way, whatever happened to Megyn Kelly? She's become the Brock Osweiler of TV presenters.
Fox News dropped her contract and she is free to debut on NBC, but the network is still waiting until September.
Maybe NBC should offer her and a draft pick to the Browns in exchange for a Jim Brown replica jersey. Browns have salary cap room to take her.
We shall see how that works out.
Meanwhile, my money is on Trump in this one.

ReplyDelete(1) Those who had something to do with intercepting Trump campaign communications (wiretapping) are sweating because:
(a) Trump is president and can see a lot of stuff just because.
(b) All of the co-workers who were not involved can push all of the blame on those about to be sacrificed.
(2) If they used the British intelligence services to get around US laws:
(a) The British government will give the Trump administration a lot of assistance because Obama is no longer president and Hillary will never be; and
(b) Burning the US contacts/requestors is an easy sacrifice.
(3) A lot of people are going to sleep very uneasily.

ReplyDeleteJohn McCain was NOT born in the country of Panama. He was born in the Panama Canal Zone, an unincorporated territory of the United States from 1903 to 1979. He was born on US soil. His eligibility to become President was never in legal doubt.
ReplyDeleteTrump leaked his tax returns to Maddie without her knowing he did it. He did the same with the tape where he was pretending to be his own press agent (!).
ReplyDeleteAt this point, how do we know how much, if not all of the fake news about Trump wasn't started by Trump himself, including the Russia crap? Has the press been the Platonic Form of a sucker all along?
I know this sounds ridiculous; it's an extreme interpretation. On the other hand, we have the Stradivarius of press savvy presidents in office right now. Something neither we, nor the League of Journalism School Graduates has ever seen.
Maybe that should be League Of Scholars Eschewing Research (LOSER).
