36,635 dead lose their right to vote in West Virginia

Republican Mac Warner has been West Virginia's secretary of state for only 45 days, and already he has suppressed the votes of up to 36,635 dead people -- in an act of zombiephobia that defies the logic and reason.

Where in the state constitution does it say that your right to vote Democratic ends when you die?

Doesn't the ADA cover the "living challenged"?

Well, it should.

From his press release:
The Elections Division within the Secretary of State’s Office confirmed on Friday morning that since Warner took office in January, the county clerks have canceled 36,635 outdated records from the voter registration files across the state. Cooperation continues between the county clerks statewide and the Secretary’s office to advance the voter registration list maintenance process to ensure voter file accuracy.
Regarding the county clerks efforts, Secretary Warner stated, “Since I took office in January, West Virginia county clerks have canceled tens of thousands of outdated voter registrations. I applaud the continued effort by the county clerks to ensure an all-encompassing voter registration list maintenance process ensuring an accurate and up-to-date voter file.”
Using updated technology and tools, elections experts have estimated that the status of more than 100,000 registered voters in West Virginia -- nearly 10% of our State’s registered voters -- may have changed and may need to be removed from current voter rolls. Those status updates include voters who: (1) have moved from their initial registered address; (2) have died; or (3) have duplicate registration records on file.
And that turncoat Republican Putnam County Clerk Brian Wood -- the county Poca is in -- said:
“I am encouraged that the Secretary of State’s Office is focused on providing additional tools and resources to assist the clerks in achieving the common goal of clean voter rolls. County clerks statewide work diligently to keep registration lists current and we look forward to taking advantage of the additional resources.”
What next?

Voter photo ID to stop you from voting 11 times?

If this keeps up, Democrats may never be able to steal another election in the Mountain State.

  1. How many of these voted in the last election? The county clerks of any county where dead people voted should face a charge for each vote and be prosecuted rigorously. You know, pour encourager les autres. - Elric

  2. A few years ago I asked the question "How do I UNregister to vote?" I wanted to remove my name from the rolls (state of Oregon). The only answer I was able to get was to just not vote in the future.
Purging the rolls should be periodic, and yes, adequate ID to register absolutely must be required!
Good for WV, but this should be nationwide!

    1. Here in Georgia I think you have to miss three general elections before you're removed from the rolls. I don't know of a method to have your own registration cancelled.

    2. Here in California a death certificate was sent In 3 times. 3 freaking times and they continued to send him voter info! Wtf? A death certificate should be enough proof he won't be voting!!

    3. Many men have given their lives for you to vote. Not voting is a slap in the face to them. Not voting means you can't bitch about the government we have!

    4. Those dead voters really haven't been doing a whole lot of bitching.

  3. I'm surprised you didn't report the Democrats in WVa have dug up one of those dead voters in order to file a lawsuit to challenge the purge of the voter registration lists. The state's campaign to fix the voter registration rolls clearly has a disparate impact on the deceased, as would any requirement to show a photo ID.

  5. Q: How do we know that the toothbrush was invented in West Virginia?

A: Because if it was invented in any other state, it would have been called the teethbrush!

  7. FTA: "he has suppressed the votes of up to 36,635 dead people -- in an act of zombiephobia that defies the logic and reason." Hysterical. And, does this spell the end of Joe Manchin's re-election hopes?

    1. No, it seems Joe Manchin knows which way the wind is blowing in WVa and is, for the present at least, a DINO, notably being the only one on his side of the aisle who stood up and applauded during Trump's speech to the joint session of Congress.
