Good news on the budget

Jonathan Swan of Axios reported:
White House targets EPA climate-change programs
The plan is to cut the agencies overrun by Social Justice Warriors to pay for increased security costs, as President Trump pushes the federal government back to basics.

It sounds like a good.

Under President Obama the budget deficit grew at an average annualized rate of nearly 16% for eight years.

That is the highest rate ever for a president not fighting a civil or world war.

Enough.

The way you balance the budget is to cut spending and that starts with the luxuries - which all happen to be SJW-dominated agencies such as the unnecessary, redundant, and counter-productive Department of Education.

The left has won the guns versus butter argument for so long that we have become an obese nation that no longer can defend itself or its allies.

From Swan:
We hear the White House tomorrow will send Cabinet officials their first draft budget numbers.
One budget we'll be watching especially closely: the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA is the leading edge of the first wave of Trump's planned "deconstruction of the administrative state." Expect massive, transformational cuts, particularly to climate-change programs, top officials tell us.
Trump has made clear he wants the EPA to get back to its core missions of clean air and clean water. He views many of the global-warming programs as superfluous additions made by an out-of-control Obama EPA.
But, but, but ... Don't expect the topline budget numbers to change dramatically. Money saved from cuts to EPA and other agencies will be used to bolster the military — which is exactly what Trump promised on the campaign trail.
Climate change is nonsense.

Carbon dioxide is a nutrient -- not a pollutant. We should encourage more carbon dioxide to accelerate plant growth as we feed a world that now contains 8 billion human beings who expect to live to 70 and beyond.

Compared to 50 years ago, our air is clean and our water pure. Time to stop using imaginary ailments to harass industry.

The best way to protect the environment is to avoid a war. The best way to do that is to have a strong military.

  1. 3 trillion bucks have come into the market since the election (cf. Varney/FoxNFriends today), and the media chooses to still talk about dinners that involve time traveling by Trump (even though he does do it) and Spicers stop and frisk on the staff's cell phones. SMH. Clownshow.

This budget guideline submission will set up the battle of all battles--popcorn and Lyin Ryan.

    1. God, yes.

And I get the impression he's not quite as gay positive as we were led to believe.

    2. Agree on the fuels mandated by the Dems in the past if still being purchased. One thing is that on, at least local Army bases, the gate guards are civilians, not MPs. What a stupid idea and cost. We have more DOD civilians employees than those in the military

  5. Climate changes. Did so a number of times. Where I grew up I was taught the state was half-glaciated about 15 kyears ago, before there were factories and SUVs.

  6. We ARE in a warming cycle. They happen, as do cooling cycles. SENSIBLE prep on the two coasts may be in order, but the silly nonsense pushed by the enviro-whackos has to go.
