The Яussians ain't coming

Democrats are calling for a hearing on whether the Яussians hacked our election.

Oh please do. The chasing of their own tails will help President Trump as the media and the hack politicians show themselves to be worthless Chicken Littles.

The gullible media is convinced the Яussians -- not the American people  -- elected Trump president.

Consider this report on Brian Stetler hosting fellow journos Liz Wahl and Julia Ioffe on CNN on Sunday. Stetler is supposed to be a media critic. Instead he bashed President Trump.

From PolitiZette:
Stelter implied that Trump’s impending presidency is a national emergency.
“That is the ultimate goal [of Яussian ‘disinformation’], to undermine democracy, to undermine faith in our institutions, like the media,” Wahl told Stelter. “We have a president-elect now who has basically matched some of these key talking points in Яussian propaganda to undermine our system.”
Thus CNN stated as FACT that Яussia won the election for Trump.

Based on what?

Mewlings from the White House?

WikiLeaks said a DNC insider revealed thousands of emails that showed the DNC in a bad light.

Oh wait, the press is saying a CIA source said it was the Яussians. And the CIA is controlled by what president again?

This is the same CIA that said there were WMD in Iraq and that Karl Rove exposed Valerie Plame as being an employee of the CIA. Both proved false.

Rather than question all this, Stetler, Wahl, and Ioffe swallowed this absurd tale with the gusto of Linda Lovelace just as the press swallowed Tawana Brawley, Crystal Magnum of Duke lacrosse fame, and Rolling Stone's Jackie -- all of whom said they were gang-raped and none of them were.

Instead of spending an hour reflecting on how the media blew the story of the year, these brainiacs believe the Яussians stole the election because the Obama administration told them so:
Either  Stelter believes that the Electoral College's working in the precise manner in which it was designed is a national emergency, or he believes that the fact Trump was able to win despite the nonstop barrage of mainstream media propaganda is a national emergency.
The latter certainly appeared to be Ioffe's position. "I feel like we've been reporting on this all along but … people don't read us," Ioffe noted before attacking "fake news" — progressives' hot new term for anything that challenges their approved ideological narrative. "We're writing about it but, A) people aren't listening and, B) they don't believe us."
Oh let us review Ioffe's work -- her warnings -- this year. It amounted to her going to Slovenia to diss on Melania Trump's rots for GQ. Mirjana Jelančič, who said she was a classmate of Trump's wife, gave Ioffe some dirt:
Jelančič remembers Melania’s father, Viktor, spending every Saturday lovingly washing his antique Mercedes, another rarity. “It was like a ritual,” Jelančič tells me. After leaving his job working for the mayor of Hrastnik, Viktor, then a member of the Slovenian Communist Party, became a salesman at a state-owned car company. Police files from the time indicate Viktor aroused suspicion for illicit trade and tax evasion in 1976. (He was charged with a tax offense, though his record was later cleared on account of Slovenia’s statute of limitations, a process the courts described to me as “legal rehabilitations.”) Melania blocked my efforts to speak to Viktor, and she denies that any such investigation took place. “He was never under any investigation, he was never in trouble,” she snaps. “We have a clean past. I don’t have nothing to hide.”
Oh, and Daddy Viktor had a child out-of-wedlock about five years before Melania was born.

Ioffe filed a police report in Washington, SC, claiming she suffered anti-Semitic death threats.

She also wrote for Foreign Policy, "Is Trump a Яussian Stooge?" on July 25:
First, there was the Saturday piece by Josh Marshall in Talking Points Memo, alleging the following:
“At a minimum, Trump appears to have a deep financial dependence on Russian money from persons close to Putin. And this is matched to a conspicuous solicitousness to Яussian foreign policy interests where they come into conflict with US policies which go back decades through administrations of both parties. There is also something between a non-trivial and a substantial amount of evidence suggesting Putin-backed financial support for Trump or a non-tacit alliance between the two men.”
Then, Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook did the Sunday morning talk show circuit, telling everyone that the DNC hack n’ dump was done by the Яussians to hurt Hillary and help Trump. “I think when you put all this together, it’s a disturbing picture, and voters need to reflect on that,” he told Jake Tapper.
So she offered as proof a lefty blogger and Clinton's stooge.

That's it.

You know what that tells me?

She's an idiot.

And Foreign Policy is run by idiots for running her piece.

This is Fake News.

CNN is a fraud.

And Stetler is a fool. And a lazy one at that. Not every member of the press is stupid and lazy, but enough are that it paints an occupation that does not know what it is doing. Little leaguers trying to play in the majors.

President Trump has played them for the past year-and-a-half, and they are too stupid to learn.

Some of them.

Enough of them to warrant this prediction: Trump wins re-election.

    4. Rather long list of Republicans calling for hearings. Like Dems, the Rs don't like the thought of the incoming administration as being seen (correctly) to be real cozy with the Russians.

    5. So you have proof? If there are a lot of them is it possible that some might be motivated by the opportunity to publicly embarrass the accusers? I don't think anyone would be able to hide behind a facade of not wanting to reveal security secrets in a case like this. This is the kind of situation where anyone making unverifiable insinuations would be subject to high level prosecution. If immunity is offered in such an instance it will be proof of people bring allowed to lie for political gain. If they have the balls let them bring it.

    2. From an old vet. True but the stockpiles the Iraqi generals, we and many other intelligence organizations assumed existed were not found. Moved to Syria, as one Iraqi General stated? Backed by the observation of the T&Ts heading to Syria were never explained. If we didn't expect WMD why were our troops in chem suits that limit mobility and make warfare even more dangerous. Never publicly proven either way.

  6. Remember how candidate Obama refused to set up his online donations page to reject foreign donations? Remember how Hillary freely took donations from foreigners and foreign governments in the Clinton Foundation while she was Secretary of State and while she ran for president? The people raising a fuss now, with no evidence, of foreign meddling in our election can go fuck themselves.

Barack Obama's presidential campaign has been fined $375,000 by the Federal Election Commission for violating federal disclosure laws, Politico reports.

An FEC audit of Obama for America's 2008 records found the committee failed to disclose millions of dollars in contributions and dragged its feet in refunding millions more in excess contributions. […]

The results of the audit were released in April of 2012, but the letter detailing the fines the FEC planned to levy was not sent until December. https://www.google.com/amp/www.usnews.com/news/articles/2013/01/07/obama-campaign-fined-big-for-hiding-donors-keeping-illegal-donations%3Fcontext%3Damp https://web.archive.org/web/20130108034147/http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2013/01/07/obama-campaign-fined-big-for-hiding-donors-keeping-illegal-donations Oh, I forgot about this. He cheated in 2008 and the public didn't hear about the outcome of the investigation until after he had been reelected. Nice.

Man Admits to Role in Funneling Foreign Donations to Obama Campaign

    by Ronn Blitzer | 4:27 pm, July 25th, 2016

On Monday, William Argeros of Tampa, Florida admitted to being involved in the transfer of $80,000 in foreign contributions that went to a joint fundraising committee for President Barack Obama‘s 2012 campaign, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Argeros, 57, pleaded guilty to knowingly and willfully making foreign contributions, and to knowingly making a false declaration before the grand jury, in New Jersey federal court before District Judge Madeline Cox Arleo.

Argeros is the second person to plead guilty to aiding in foreign money going towards Obama’s reelection. In June, LawNewz.com reported that Bilal Shehu admitted to getting money from a foreign source and sending it to the fundraising committee. Argeros assisted in having those same contributions sent to Shehu, before Shehu passed them along to the committee. According to Argeros’ plea agreement, the purpose of the operation was to disguise the origin of the funds. According to the DOJ’s statement, it is a violation of federal law for foreign actors to donate to federal candidates or fundraising committees.

In addition to admitting to his role in the scheme, Argeros pleaded guilty to lying about it under oath to a federal grand jury on February 18, 2015.

Argeros is scheduled to be sentenced on November 9, 2016. http://lawnewz.com/high-profile/man-admits-to-role-in-funneling-foreign-donations-to-obama-campaign/ nice sentencing date there

  20. Financial Times headline and text: "Former officials see risk in president-elect’s battle with intelligence agency...Intelligence professionals are worried that there could be a backlash in the new administration against those who provide unwelcome assessments and that intelligence will become more politicized."

Quite a furious spin the FT puts on it, as if the Democrats and their allies in the media aren't already politicizing what the CIA may or may not have officially concluded about the Podesta email leak. The CIA and other Intel "professionals" are about to be held to account by Trump and they know it. There's going to be a bit of house cleaning after January 2017. If they've been dogging it for decades, that's about to stop.

  22. The former UK ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, has said that the hacking was an inside job, not Russia. Maybe the young man who worked at the DNC and was shot several times in the back but not robbed during the general campaign season was the person who did it. That killing dropped off the MSM radar for some reason. But yes, the media has not done its job.

It looks like many have forgotten HRC's attack when she was SoS accusing Putin of rigging the Russian parliamentary election for his party. She went so far as to publicly request an investigation of his election win. Putin is not a man to forget such things and I suggest, that if indeed the Russians were responsible for the hacking, he did it to get even not to elect Trump.

Of course now we have a supposed CIA leak, not an official public report, that says the RNC was hacked too (and the Russians wanted Trump elected) when the FBI has said there is no evidence the RNC was hacked or HRC's server. So does the CIA have evidence HRC's server was hacked if the RNC was too, of course with the Russians not leaving any tracks according to the FBI. As to the CIA leak, where is the evidence. More fake news the media runs with it, as usual.

Then we have the MSM in general comparing former and the present President's briefings with Trump's President elect briefing schedule. Apples and oranges, as too often the case with the media. Once he is President, a different story for comparisons
