Um, National Review, we can stop her

Iraq warrior and lawyer David French of the National Review was upset with the FBI giving Hillary a pass on selling state secrets. From French:

The FBI demolished every Clinton excuse and blew apart every Clinton lie, but soon she might well walk into rooms serenaded to the sweet sounds of “Hail to the Chief.” To paraphrase the words of Benjamin Franklin, we've got a banana republic, if Hillary can keep it.

Gee, National Review, if only there were some way we could stop her.

Well, I am not the National Review, and I did not paint myself in a self-righteous and sanctimonious corner last January. I shifted my support from Scott Walker to Carly Fiorina top Trump. It's that simple. The party rank-and-file have spoken.

And James Comey's refusal to do his job did not anger me. I merely moved up the date to get even. Instead of voting on November 8. I will vote on October 26 when early voting begins in my state.

Of course, one size does not fit all. Mark Krikorian of the National Review wrote:

Many of us here at NR think Trump’s election would also be a threat to the Republic, and I can’t disagree. But one of these two is going to be elected president. So the question is, whose election is more dangerous? Not more dangerous in their character or likely actions, since it might be hard to choose between Hillary’s malevolence and venality versus Trump’s frivolity and Caesarism. Rather, the issue in November is whose election would do more to undermine the political legitimacy of our current form of government?

Whose election would cause more people to reconsider the authority of the law and the routine compliance with the rules that underlies political stability? Before today’s reverse-Watergate, it might have been plausible to judge this as a tie. Not anymore. Punishing Hillary through electoral defeat is a necessary act of civic hygiene if the rule of law is to have any chance of persisting, even in its current attenuated form.

We are not alone.

Donald Trump is far from the perfect leader. But, then it takes someone with gumption and determination who will not be intimidated to take on the rot that permeates our government and self-appointed ruling class. And, Trump is the only revolution we have available.

Anyone deserves the end of our once-renowned Republic who stays home or turns coat or otherwise fails to stand up for recovering an America with basic laws and justice, an America which is not beholden to those who would exploit the government for self-aggrandizement or profits, an America with justice for all which does not favor the wealthy or powerful sycophants of state power.

Donald Trump is not George Washington. But he’s the only revolution we have, and very probably our last chance. I have faith in the American people who will bring us back from tottering over the brink of ruination to make it work when Trump is elected.

This will not be easy. Fred Barnes thinks the refusal to indict hurt Trump:

The FBI director's decision not to recommend prosecution of Hillary Clinton for mishandling highly classified information is a bump in the road for Donald Trump's campaign against her—a pretty big bump. It may halt Trump's gradual narrowing of her lead in the general election race, at least for the time being.

Clinton and Democrats can live comfortably with the critical words of James Comey, the FBI chief, aimed at Clinton for the reckless way she treated national security information on her private email server. She and her aides were "extremely careless in their handling very sensitive, highly classified information," he said. Clinton should have known an unclassified system was no place to discuss "Top Secret/Special Access" information. Yet that's just what she did, Comey added. But his words alone won't sting her.

Barnes may be on tio something. Most people likely see it as just a harmless email problem.

The press has tarred Trump as a racist. Scott Adams of Dilbert fame wrote:

Trump needs to reframe this situation in August to win, because otherwise crooked will beat racist.

Remember, vote for the crook, it's that important?

This is how crony capitalism works. They own the press and now the Internet. Readers need to suck it up. Hillary is worse. A lot worse. When they dump on Trump, just remember four dead in Benghazi, Whitewater, Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, White House furniture, and of course, emailing secrets to the enemy.

You cannot crybaby about this. You can no longer pretend that four years of Hillary are a small price to pay for "saving" the Republican Party.

There is GOOD in the world and there is EVIL.

This is the simplest election ever. Either you are for the Constitution, or you are for Hillary.
