PolitiFact lies to protect the president

President Obama on Friday morning: "Well, no, I don't think they're gaining strength. What is true is that from the start, our goal has been first to contain, and we have contained them. They have not gained ground in Iraq. And in Syria they'll come in, they'll leave. But you don't see this systematic march by ISIL across the terrain. What we have not yet been able to do is to completely decapitate their command and control structures. We've made some progress in trying to reduce the flow of foreign fighters."

PolitiFact now rates the president's own statement as an unfair assessment of what the president said.

Obama apologist Ben Rhodes said on ABC on Sunday morning: "When President Barack Obama said ISIS, or ISIL, was contained, he was responding very specifically to the geographic expansion of ISIL in Iraq and Syria."

PolitiFact called that lie True.

He said they were contained in Iraq and Syria.

Last time I looked, Paris was not in Syria or Iraq.

  1. Neither is the Sinai, Yemen, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, et cetera, ad nauseum. People who have selected memories get surprised. Unpleasantly.

  2. Politifact LIES?? Quelle Horreur! (Of course they do.)

  3. Obama lost the credibility to talk about ISIS after labeling them the JV team. Being naive is one thing, being naive and stupid is a whole 'nother ball game.

isis lost 7 "fighters" in Paris. This is probably what obama was talking about in "reducing the flow." Of course humanity pays a terrible price following obama's policy to reduce isis this way.
