Chelsea called Secret Service pigs?

A new book on the Clintons says Chelsea Clinton referred to the Secret Service personnel assigned to protect her and her parents as "pigs."

When an agent angrily confronted her for her bratty remark, she said, "Well, that’s what my mother and father call you."

From the London Daily Mail:
As a young girl, Chelsea Clinton learned to keep secrets. But she also learned to call the Secret Service 'pigs.'
That's a claim from former White House florist Ronn Payne, retold in a new book based on interviews with more than 100 members of the presidential mansion's domestic staff.
As he walked into the second-floor kitchen one day, he saw Chelsea talking on the phone. A member of her Secret Service protective detail came in behind him to take the Clintons' only child to school.
'Oh, I’ve got to go. The pigs are here,' she told her phone pal, according to Payne – using a 1960s-era epithet for law enforcement.
'Faced with an angry agent who reminded her in no uncertain terms that it was his job to protect her, Chelsea replied: 'Well, that’s what my mother and father call you.'
I doubt that the story will get much press in the United States because some many of today's journalists would agree with her assessment. Politico published an excerpt from the book --   The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House -- which did not include a passage on the pig reference. However, that likely is the decision of the publisher. The book seems to be another reminder that Democratic presidents -- Carter, Clinton and Obama -- treat staff like crap while Reagan and both Bushes treat them like family.

More disturbing is Chelsea and her parents referring to the men and women who protect them as "pigs," and if Chelsea said it, her parents must have taught her to say it. A contempt for law enforcement shows a contempt for the law itself, a contempt that clearly shows in the actions and attitudes of Barack and Michelle Obama, particularly to false reports of racism by officers.

What makes it disturbing as these four people are Ivy League lawyers. The Clintons are Yale Law graduates, the Obamas are Harvard Law. This contempt for the law and therefore society are what is taught about the law at our best schools.

Yes, a president's daughter casually calling Secret Service agents pigs is important because it reflects where our society is headed. A government not bound by the law will certainly ruin freedom in our country. That seems to be the plan as the Clintons taught their progeny to call the police pigs. Thankfully, they had but one child.

  3. Chelsea, a decent argument for abortion. Just kidding.
I knew a Secret Service agent who worked in the Clinton White House. I asked him how he could defend them. "I protect the president, I don't defend him."
God bless them. Get them back in the treasury dept!
