Bernie Sanders brings wealth of 19th century ideas to Democratic presidential sweepstakes

Bored by 24 years of being ignored in Congress, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has entered the presidential race in his bid to be the Democratic Party's ABC (Anybody But Clinton) candidate this year, where he will be ignored by millions of voters. His entrance pushes the median age of a Democratic candidate to 70 as the 73-year-old joins Elizabeth Warren, 65, Hillary Clinton, 67, and Joe Biden 72 in the battle to be the least unelectable candidate the party can find for 2016.

Riots show liberal programs failed

While collecting another round of bribes at a feast on Tuesday night, Hillary Clinton said: “Baltimore is burning. The tragic death of another young African-American man, the injuries to police officers, the burning of peoples’ homes and small businesses. We have to restore order and security. But then we have to take a hard look as to what we need to do to reform our system.”

Hillary Clinton is absolutely right. We have to reform the system. Ferguson and Baltimore are the 50th anniversary riots of Watts and its ilk. In those intervening 50 years we poured trillions into inner city schools, public housing, medical insurance, welfare, food stamps and other programs. The result is more violence and more resentment from some African-Americans. We need to do something else.

A university stands up to unpatriotic students

This story received little national play, but the University of Florida shuttered the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity after the louts threw bottles at a group of veterans holding a retreat nearby. The students yelled at them, spat on them, and tore flags off their cars, in addition to throwing bottles, the Gainesville Sun reported.

Scoreboard 4-29-2015

1. The economy grew by a whopping 0.2% in January, February and March, according to figures that will be readjusted downward in May and June.

2. From Jim Hoft: "Ronald Reagan’s economic plan saw GDP surge at a 3.5% clip – 4.9% after the recession. That’s a 32% bump. During the Obama years, thanks to his big government policies, the US economy has stalled. Today the quarterly GDP was announced. The GDP for the first quarter of 2015 braked more sharply than expected at only a .2% pace. The US economy has grown an anemic 9.6% during the Obama years (excluding today’s dismal number)."

Republicans: Nominate another William McKinley-Calvin Coolidge-Ike Eisenhower-Ronald Reagan Republican.

First woman president?

The consensus is she is running for vice president, but I do not know. Carly Fiorina is coming off as a pretty strong candidate rather than a backup. She actually broke a glass ceiling and while she was fired, true, at least she has an accomplishment other than going to one of the Seven Sisters and marrying an up-and-coming politician -- or lying about her race to get a $400,000-a-year gig at Harvard.

Watcher of Weasels contest

Each week the members of the Watcher of Weasels council submit their favorite post they wrote and a post someone else wrote. We read them all, and someone wins.

(This week's weasel will either be Mitch McConnell or the mayor of Baltimore. (My money is on her.)

Here are this week's nominations:

Obama: “I’ve seen this movie too many times before”

Language matters, especially when your entire career is built on an image of being a super hip, super smart, Super Man! Thus it was very revealing when President Obama declined to go to Baltimore, saying “I’ve seen this movie too many times before.”

'Exceptional Americans' - Stories You've Never Heard In A Riveting New Book ~ J O S H U A P U N D I T

London libs go Victorian

An advertisement for a "weight loss" beverage is upsetting the Puritan sensibilities of liberals in London, who believe the ad is too sexy -- or in their verbiage “offensive, irresponsible and harmful because it promotes an unhealthy body image,” according to that bible of liberal bile, the Guardian. Someone has taken to defacing the ads with F-bombs and the like.

Son of billionaire blasts rich elites

John Angelos whose two achievements in life are being born to billionaire asbestos and tobacco lawyer Peter Angelos and negotiating nearly $70 million in corporate welfare from Florida and Sarasota County used the Baltimore riots as an excuse to blast "an American political elite have [has] shipped middle class and working class jobs away from Baltimore."

Before buying the Orioles, Daddy was a Democratic member of Baltimore City Council.

Put Brian Williams back on

So he told a fib about the time he was in during the war? He embellished. The key is Brian Williams was in Iraq during the war. Working for NBC. As far as I can tell, none of his critics were there. Put him back on the air.

I live in a nation where we kept a proven perjurer on the payroll as president -- who lied in a sexual harassment lawsuit -- and we cannot let Brian Williams slide?

Come on.

1. New York businessman Jon Cooper, who Team Clinton enlisted for its elite corps of early fundraisers known as “HillStarters,” said that he decided not to tap his donor network for Mrs. Clinton because she hasn’t provided enough answers about foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation while she ran the State Department, her exclusive use of private email for official business as America’s top diplomat and her commitment to liberal priorities.

Polygamy makes more sense than gay marriage

Polygamy predates gay marriage by thousands of years, and in fact a man having more than one wife was legal more than 150 years ago in parts of what is now the United States. So what is gay marriage lawyer David Boies's argument that against polygamy? On "Meet The Press," he was dismissive of polygamy, using the same argument Fred Phelps used against gay marriage.

Readers own the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

In a self-important editorial on Sunday (when newspapers think they have the greatest impact), the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel called for Republican Governor Scott Walker and Democratic Mayor Tom Barrett to hold a summit on gun crime.

In comments, readers rejected this nonsense:

RICO the Clinton Foundation

The Clinton Foundation is a tax-exempt racketeer-influenced criminal organization. It is time to prosecute Bill, Chelsea and Hillary Clinton, and file a lawsuit seeking to confiscate their ill-gotten gains and place the monies in the U.S. Treasury.

From selling Marc Rich a pardon for $1 million to accepting bribes to approve uranium mines to raising money from donors to bribe Haitian officials on behalf of Chelsea's uncle, these racketeers have sold out our country.

Supporting them is unpatriotic.

He buried her alive, NYT

The New York Times in an editorial today lamented the execution of Clayton Darrell Lockett, near the anniversary of his death, which took 43 minutes.

Not mentioned in the story is the reason Oklahoma killed him: His gruesome murder of Stephanie Neiman, 19, on on June 3, 1999.

Will anyone in Washington dare ask Senator Gillibrand about the false allegation of rape she promoted?

In January, Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York promoted a story that Paul Nungesser "raped" Emma Sulkowicz while they were students at Columbia.

That story was a lie.

Now he is suing the college.

Will Senator Gillibrand apologize? Better yet, will Soraya Nadia McDonald follow up on her January 20, 2015, puff piece in the Washington Post?

Next Republican president must prosecute

Screw bipartisanship. Compromise brought you Dred Scott and Bloody Kansas. Radical Republicanism brought you the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments.

I want the next Republican president to play hardball. Prosecute. Get the Clintons. Get Harry Reid. Get Nancy Pelosi. Wipe out and disbar every prosecutor in Wisconsin who ever used John Doe warrants. Definitely Lois Lerner deserves a special prosecutor.

And be subtle about it. Don't say a damned word. Just do it. President Bush put a dozen CEOs behind bars. Joshua Holland of ultra-liberal Bill Moyers blog wrote about it:

Scoreboard for 4-24-2015

This started out as a scoreboard for the 2008 presidential election. Today I will begin with a few observations on the 2016 presidential race.

1. The biggest winner from the revelation that Hillary prostituted herself as Secretary of State is Martin O'Malley, whom Democratic moderates are rallying behind.

Twinkies prove the system works

A few years ago the company that made Twinkies hit the skids and was in bankruptcy court fighting for some breathing room from creditors under Chapter 11. In 2012, it had an operating loss of $1.06 billion on $2.47 billion in sales, with $2.5 billion in liabilities. Pension expenses topped $930 million. The bakers union went on strike. Management was lousy -- hey operating losses were 40% of revenue. Newspapers and TV stations went wild with stories about the death of Twinkies.

Readers may remember me yawning. I said the Twinkie name was too valuable and someone would buy the name, make them again without union help, and rake in some big bucks. A story by Steven Bertoni of Forbes this week said that is exactly what happened.

Reporters as corrupt as the White House they cover

Nearing the annual White House Correspondents' Association scholarship dinner, the Washington Times revealed that the group pays its executive director more than it hands out in scholarships. Looks like the reporters have become as corrupt as the White House they cover.

The association's main job is credentialing who is considered the press in the White House, which is potentially pretty powerful. That the group has full-time staff is surprising, but considering it is Washington, such overstaffing is expected.

Did coal kill the Export-Import Bank?

Roll Call reported the Export Import Bank likely will die on June 30 after 81 years of obscurity. The relic of FDR's socialistic government likely will not have its charter renewed, meaning the elimination of 402 government jobs. Well, that's a  start.

Blame politics. President Obama politicized the agency, which after its three-year renewal in 2012 decided not to finance any more coal export deals. This is part of Obama's war on coal mined from privately owned land (the public lands in Wyoming continue to boom). Frankly, this is why Jay Rockefeller called him the president he waited all his life for because Rockefeller sees coal as the only barrier remaining for socialism in West Virginia.

President? Prison for both Clintons

Bill and Hillary Clinton accepted bribes from the Russian government and approved the sale of uranium to our arch enemy.

Arrest them. Try them. Imprison them.

Every one of these people is wrong

Free speech isn't pretty. A federal judge protected Pam Geller's right to purchase an anti-Muslim ad on buses in New York City which offends people. The only way the government -- which owns the buses -- can stop her is by rejecting all ads from everyone.

Some online readers at the Washington Post showed their ignorance of free speech in the comments:

Scoreboard for Lenin's Birthday 2015

1. From the USA: As a millennial, how can I understand and work with a Gen X-er?

From South Africa: "A 14-year-old boy has been killed and eaten by a lion as he lay guarding his family’s crops in north-eastern Zimbabwe, a report said on Wednesday."

Forget Gen-X-ers. You'll be working for South Africans, kid. They can handle way bigger problems.

Everglades shows government threatens the environment, Mister Obama

On the celebration of Lenin's Birthday under the guise of Earth day by socialists everywhere, President Obama made a theatrical appearance in the Everglades to expound upon the virtues of the government taking charge of industry in the name of ecology.

Not only is his physical science wrong on global warming junk (surface temperatures of the Earth are in a decline, even as carbon dioxide levels reach 800,000-year highs), but his political science of federal protection of the Everglades is ridiculous.

The biggest threat to the Everglades came from Washington.

Is Chris Cillizza as out of touch as his writing indicates?

Two back-to-back pieces by Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post show he is out to lunch and know little about politics.

That's important only because the rest of the Washington press corps thinks he is bright.

The Make College Meaningless Act

My college degree and my DD-214 are on top of one another in my sock drawer, where all my most precious keepsakes are. Guess which one is rare.

According to Gallup, 13% of American adults are veterans, while 34% have college degrees.

Estimates are between 20% and 40% of college students take remedial classes to learn what they should have learned in high school. So much for college entrance standards. Now the Democratic Party wants to water the standards further.

1. From New Hampshire:
AUDIENCE MEMBER: Are you and other people running representing corporations or ordinary people?
GOV. PERRY: But I think, that question for me, as the governor of the state of Texas ... I am not an unknown. I have run the 13th largest economy in the world for the last 14 years. My campaign contributions are open. You can go look at them. Number one, I can't take a corporate contribution. So there's is not a corporate contribution that comes to me as a governor. As the governor of the state of Texas, a corporation is not what funded my [campaign]. You go look at my, I mean my records are open, they're there. And you look at them, corporate contributions ...
AUDIENCE MEMBER: But that's the system you rely on.
HOST: We have to move forward. Thank you for the questions.
GOV. PERRY: The system I rely on is by personal contributions from people in the state of Texas. Corporations are not what is driving this thing. Now, I do buy into your thing that corporations have an inordinate amount of influence in Washington, D.C. And we need to have people that we trust that are going to go in there and make decisions that are in the best interest of this country. I got a record of putting 1.5 million people to work in the state of Texas while the rest of the country lost 400,000 jobs. That's what we better be focused on, is getting people back to work in this country.

5 billion gallons to save 6 fish

"If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there'd be a shortage of sand" -- Nobel laureate economist Milton Friedman.

So it goes with water in California. Four decades after its last water crisis, California has another one. Its population doubled, but its water reservoirs did not. On top of that, state government officials want to waste 5 billion gallons of water to save six fish. Not six types of fish -- six fish: Wally, Bob, Ted, Mary, Lenny, and Squiggy.

Roseanne Barr is why Hillary is in trouble

Roseanne Barr has a lot of money and wants to make a lot of noise. Her reality series bombed. She is plugging a documentary on her presidential run as a Green Party candidate in 2012, which I think she knows will also bomb. But in an interview with the Daily Beast, she said some interesting things that resonate with working class boomers who have had to put up with being represented by elitists like Hillary Clinton ever since Life magazine discovered Woodstock.

Abortion advocate protests new execution law

Republican Governor Mary Fallin signed into law a bill that approves the use of nitrogen gas for executions in the state. This has upset Ryan Kiesel, head of the ACLU in Oklahoma, who has also fought against the state's attempts to restrict abortion.

Manchin cedes governor's race in 2016 to West Virginia Republicans

If any West Virginia Republicans were praying for political help in 2016 at church this morning, they got an answer when they got home. The good news came not from God, but from Democratic Senator Joe Manchin who announced he will not run for governor next year. This is a body blow to a state Democratic Party that has slowly lost its iron-hand control of a state -- a control that resulted in West Virginia falling to 49th place in income over the 80+ years that Democrats were in charge.

Blame George Walker Bush. He carried the state and its five Electoral College votes in 2000 -- votes that won him the presidency because without West Virginia, Florida would not have mattered.

Al Sharpton, corporate puppeteer or puppet?

Forty-plus years ago, Gil-Scott Heron wrote a pre-rap ditty, "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised," which lashed out at white people for being white, and corporations for sponssoring his show. He said: "The revolution will not be brought to you by Xerox/ In 4 parts without commercial interruptions."

He's right. The revolution is not being sponsored by Xerox.

Its sponsors are "AT and T, Viacom, Walmart, Perennial Strategy Group, Combs Enterprises, Comcast Corporation, McDonald’s, Ronald Perelman, Earvin 'Magic' Johnson, Forest City Ratner, Time Warner Cable, Barney’s, Coca-Cola, Essence Communications, Ford Division, Home Depot, Crystal McCrary and Raymond J. McGuire, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, the NBA, Verizon, Colgate Palmolive, Macy’s, NASCAR, OraSure Technologies Inc., Best Buy, Greentrack Inc., the IM Foundation, Con Edison, and Entergy."

No to transgender "rights"

After years of being fine with transgendering, I have come to the conclusion that nope, boys should be boys and girls should be girls. "Lola" and "Take A Walk On The Wild Side" have a good beat and you can dance to them, but they support an evil lifestyle.

I offer as proof Richard Speck, Robert Kosilek, and Bradley Edward Manning. These are three monsters -- a serial killer, a wife strangler, and a turncoat traitor -- who wanted to be girls so they can have more fun in prison.

But the real danger, as Robert Stacy McCain pointed out, is the transgender rights movement allows violent sex offenders to bury their past once they are out of prison by claiming they are women.

Republican Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey said we have to “find the right balance” on gun rights. Silly me, I though we already found “the right balance” and called it The Second Amendment.

But I thank him for reminding me that we balance rights in this country. How about “the right balance” on abortion, in which we protect the child's right to life as well as the mother's right to kill her baby in the womb?

Making the gay mafia happy

ABC-Disney is learning that the Left that it bows to will never be satisfied. The homosexual pressure group GLAAD is demanding more gay characters in Disney films. The leftist Hollywood Reporter wrote: "GLAAD, found that of the 114 releases from the major studios in 2014, only 20 of them, or 17.5 percent, included characters identified as lesbian, gay or bisexual."

Given that the Gallup poll showed only 3.6 percent of Americans identify themselves as lesbian, gay or bisexual, that sounds about right.

Angie's List fires its co-founder

When the Left became all excited about Angie's List pulling out of a business deal in Indiana over a law that protects freedom of religion, I was suspicious. No one turns down $18.5 million in tax aid for a $40 million project. I did some digging and found that since going public in 2011, Angie's List posted losses totaling more than $100 million.

National Enquirer goes there (L-word) on Hillary

Well, that didn't take long. Hillary announced formally that she is running for president on Sunday, and by Thursday the National Enquirer is spreading the rumor that Mrs. Clinton is the lesbian lover of her longtime aide, Huma Abedin, also known as Mrs. Anthony Weiner.

A gang-rape story that doesn't fit The Narrative

In December, when the rest of the media still bought Rolling Stone's lie by Sabrina Rubin Erdely of a gang rape by a fraternity at the University of Virginia, Ralph Cipriano pointed out another rape lie written by Sabrina Rubin Erdely a few years earlier. It involved a junkie felon who made wild claims about being passed around as an altar boy among various Catholic priests. Sabrina Rubin Erdely's husband was the prosecutor in the case, and conveniently there was a gag order that kept the priests and their lawyers from talking about the case. Then there was the Duke University lacrosse case, which triggered a media feeding frenzy even though it was a lie. The story saturated the 24-hour cable TV networks.

Lies, lies, lies.

Now we have a more credible gang-rape story complete with a police report. But Matt Drudge does not seem interested and I do not see a whole lot of play of the story elsewhere in the media.

Kenya wants to evict the UN

That's right, Kenya wants to evict the UN. We all know that feeling. The United Nations built a refugee camp in Kenya for people fleeing Somalia, one of the many hellholes of violence and chaos created by Muslims in recent years.

The West Virginia Board of Education opened classrooms to actually discuss of whether man is the chief cause of global warming and climate change.

Obama well short of 1 million hybrids this year

When he ran for president in 2008, President Obama promised to "get 1 million plug-in hybrid cars on the road by 2015. These vehicles can get up to 150 miles per gallon."

This was a modest goal as 1 million cars is less than 1% of the 150 million automotive vehicles American own.

And he could not do that. After spending $50 billion to buy GM, and billions in subsidies, President Obama faces the embarrassment of GM suspending production of Chevy Volts for four weeks because only 1,784 were sold in the first three months of 2015.

Hewitt: "Is he naïve, Mr. Vice President? Or does he have a far-reaching vision that only he entertains of a realigned Middle East that somehow it all works out in the end?"
Cheney: "I don’t know, Hugh. I vacillate between the various theories I've heard, but you know, if you had somebody as president who wanted to take America down, who wanted to fundamentally weaken our position in the world and reduce our capacity to influence events, turn our back on our allies and encourage our adversaries, it would look exactly like what Barack Obama’s doing. Obama, go to Appomattox

Today marks the sesquicentennial of a most remarkable and pivotal event in American history: Lee's surrender to Grant at Appomattox Court House, Virginia. It is a demarcation point in the American timeline. Before April 9, 1865, America was a country that had slaves. After that date, it did not. The Emancipation Proclamation gave temporary reprieve to the slaves in the 11 states that rebelled. The ratification of the 13th Amendment on December 6, 1865, made that relief permanent.

This 150th anniversary comes, however, with little fanfare, which is odd considering we now have our first black president. There should be joy. There should be celebration. Instead President Obama pays no attention to the sacrifices that made his presidency possible because he cannot use the event to divide the American people along the color line, Indeed, Appomattox undermines his narrative of inherent white bigotry for in the Civil War, as Jesus died to make men holy, white men died to make men free. That is a truth Obama and the Left do not wish to acknowledge.

RFK Jr. ramps up his anti-vaccine lunacy

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., environmental lawyer, has gone full Jenny McCarthy on vaccinations, telling a crowd in Sacramento on Wednesday: “They get the shot, that night they have a fever of a hundred and three, they go to sleep, and three months later their brain is gone. This is a holocaust, what this is doing to our country.”

He's entered "The Twilight Zone."

But hey, it is also ridiculous to claim that a 25 percent increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels is causing temperatures to spiral out of control -- and look how many fools fall for it.

Kansas bans dismemberment abortions

On July 1, abortionists will no longer be allowed to perform dismemberment abortions in Kansas. Republican Governor Sam Brownback signed Senate Bill 95 into law, which bans dilation and evacuation abortions, which usually are performed after the 12th week of pregnancy.

Obviously the pro-abortion groups -- under the Orwellian banner of "reproduction rights" -- oppose the ban. Lawsuits are likely. But it is a major operation and a disturbing one. While the baby might not be viable outside the womb at that point in the pregnancy, the baby may already be kicking the mother.

1. From Carly Fiorina on California's water woes: “It is a man-made disaster. California is a classic case of liberals being willing to sacrifice other people’s lives and livelihoods at the altar of their ideology. It is a tragedy.”

But what about the delta smelt? Truth to power. GOOD.

Antarctic ice near record high

As Lenin's Birthday, er, Earth Day approaches, we find that after 45 years the doomsayers are right. Global cooling is in full swing. The ice shelf at Antarctica may be at a record level.

Republicans are not allowed to diss the New York Times

ABC News is now the defender of the First Amendment and free speech as it is suddenly protecting the New York Times from attacks by Republican presidential contenders.

The network has for six years been silent as the President of the United States has conducted a Nixonian War on Fox News.

So, you gonna apologize?

I knew it was baloney from the get-go. Liberals had been pushing a panic about college rapes when the Rolling Stone happened to pluck a "gang rape victim" out of the sky, just like that. I remembered what that liar Crystal Magnum did to the Duke lacrosse team when she yelled gang rape. She went unpunished, which means 8 years later you can throw the same charge at a different group of male students with impunity.

Rolling Stone retracted and apologized. Will other publications do the same?

Easter weekend scoreboard

He Is Risen.

Happy Easter and belated Happy Passover.

1. Muslim terrorists killed 147 Christians in Kenya. Under George Walker Bush, Muslim terrorists were in retreat. Under Barack Obama, Muslim terrorism is ubiquitous in Africa. But hey "he" got Osama bin Laden, right. Enjoy sharia law in the next 20 years, feminists. EVIL.

Oh no, welfare queens won't be able to take cruises

I am not talking about the Democratic Billionaires such as George Kaiser of Solyndra fame and Elon Musk. They will continue to rake in billions in tax subsidies, tax breaks, and government-backed loans that they may default on. President Obama's corruption will continue through January 20, 2017.

But in Kanssas, you no longer will be able to use welfare money to take a cruise -- and that has the Huffington Post crowd in a lather.

Report: U.S. oil production headed to all-time high

Happy Easter. Here is what is in the basket this morning:

"Rystad Energy estimates US annual oil production (crude oil plus lease condensate) to peak at 9.7 million barrels per day by September 2015, assuming WTI stays at 55 USD/bbl on average for the year. The average production for 2015 estimated at 9.65 million barrels per day could be an all-time high after its peak in 1970 with 9.64 million barrels per day as yearly average."

Hypocrisy makes him a Democratic star

From The Hill: "Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy’s aggressive criticism of Indiana’s religious freedom law has propelled him to a leading role in the Democratic Party after years in the shadows."

But of course. Dannel is a hypocritical hack whose own state has the same law. I have yet to hear him call for the repeal of Connecticut's Religious Freedom Act. The press is giving him a pass on it.

Perry's ethics prosecutors don't seem very ethical

Following a long Democratic Party tradition in Texas, Mike McCrum and David Gonzalez brought trumped up charges against Republican Rick Perry in the waning days of his governorship. Ask Tom DeLay how this works.

Now these two cowards are fighting to keep the public from looking at how they spent public money on their investigation.

Scoreboard 4-3-2015

1. Carly Fiorina: “When Tim Cook is upset about all the places that he does business because of the way they treat gays and women, he needs to withdraw from 90% of the markets that he’s in, including China and Saudi Arabia.”

To be fair, Tim doesn't really like women. But it is good to see a Republican presidential candidate with balls.

Obama got what he wanted: Nukes in Iran

This is the presidency Bill Ayers always wanted. Takeover of America's health system? Check. Race war? Check. Neuter the military? Check. Anti-Israeli? Check. Embrace enemies? Check, check, check, check, check.

President Obama does not read much. Never has. But today he is amusing himself by reading the criticisms of his Iranian non-deal deal.

Rush: You cannot spell liberalism without L-I-E-S

Hands Up! I Can't Breathe! One In Five Raped!

The history of liberal lies is lengthy, and never ever challenged by the media until it has been embedded in the minuscule minds of the morons who support liberalism.

The truth is the sunshine that will kill the vampire of liberalism, which is why so many liberals enter journalism so they can expunge the truth from the news media. Rush Limbaugh took on the untruths on Thursday.

Fourth place

Best post nominations for Watcher of Weasels.

I finished fourth.

1. Feds indict Democratic Senator Bob Menendez on charges of disagreeing with the president. Dissent is illegal in Obamerica. EVIL.

Is Indiana overkill gay guilt over silence on Muslim hangings?

I received three interesting tweets from this fellow:

Bachmann nails Iran

I was never much of a fan of Michele Bachmann, but I defended her. She is taking some liberal heat for saying this on Facebook:
With his Iran deal, Barack Obama is for the 300 million souls of the United States what Andreas Lubitz was for the 150 souls on the German Wings flight - a deranged pilot flying his entire nation into the rocks. After the fact, among the smoldering remains of American cities, the shocked survivors will ask, why did he do it?
She is wrong about one thing. The survivors will blame Bush, not him.

Reaction was as one might expect.

Monica Lewinsky to join The View?

Barbara Walters wants ABC to bring in Monica Lewinsky to salvage "The View," which is a good candidate for a cancellation this summer, a London daily reported.

The problem is, what would ABC replace it with? Bad ratings aside, it is cheap to produce and still turns a slow hour into a profit center. The problem everyone else figured out ill-informed celebrities can churn out commentary to entertain the unemployed who rise out of bed at 11 a.m.

1. The Republican governor of Arkansas caved to pressure from Wal-Mart to veto a bill. Liberals praised him. I don't do April Fool's jokes. This really happened. EVIL.

Who supports a cop killer?

The headline in the Philadelphia Inquirer casually said, "Mumia Abu-Jamal ailing, supporters say."

Why does a man who killed a police officer in cold blood have supporters? And why does Robert Moran of the Philadelphia Inquirer give them the time of day? More importantly, why didn't Pennsylvania execute this racist killer two decades ago?

New Daily Show host puts liberals in a quandary

If you drink, don't drive. If you want to keep your job, don't tweet.

That increasingly is the message as the social media kills free speech, one tweeter at a time. Liberals go after conservatives, and conservatives go after liberals. It is an amusing little sport.

The latest to feel the discomfort of the world is a comedian named Trevor Noah, who made some jokes on Twitter that some people didn't like. His gig as the new host of "The Daily Show" may be in peril.

Forget gays, it is the religious freedom they hate

Connecticut is boycotting Indiana. New York state, too. Gay athletes plan to protest the NCAA Finals in Indianapolis. Angie's List is upset. Wal-Mart is upset. NASCAR is disappointed. And the Indianapolis Star is demanding the state FIX THIS NOW. Harrumph.

The facts do not matter. Clinton and the Democratic Party passed the same law in 1993? Doesn't matter. Supreme Court upheld the Clinton law? 19 other states passed the same law? Doesn't matter. There is no mention of gay in the law? Doesn't matter.
