NAACP official: "Our kids have dreams too."

Discussions of race relations in this country are dominated by the race hustlers. They usually restrict the discussion to black and white relations, with white people always being wrong. Occasionally, Hispanics and white relations are discussed, with white people being wrong again. Once in a while, Indian and white relations are discussed, with white people of course being wrong. Asian and white relations are never discussed because the race hustlers consider Asian people to be white -- except Bobby Jindal, who is just passing.

But black-Hispanic relations and black-Asian relations do exist and do need some discussion because they are strained. Radio's Laura Ingraham touched on this with an interview with Bob Ross, president of the NAACP's chapter in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

From her blog:
Ingraham: The cost of educating a student in Maryland-- per pupil in the public schools--it costs $24,723. During the last 15-month period, 2,804 illegal immigrant kids were dispersed across Maryland. Almost $68 million was spent on illegal immigrants’ education in Maryland. What is your reaction to that?
Ross: I don’t know how we’re going to handle this, the cost factor.
Ingraham: Why isn’t the national NAACP not kicking up a huge public fuss on this amnesty push by the president?
Ross: "I can’t speak for the national. Each local organization has its own charter, and this is a local issue. We’re fighting it based on our demographics, but we’re going to need a lot of support. We need to stand up for what’s right. We’re not going to the back of the bus again, we’ve already gone that route."
Ingraham: Do you think these kids should be sent back home, or should they just be educated in all these communities, despite the cost?
Ross: Our kids have dreams too. I want to be real clear about that. They keep talking about the DREAMers, DREAMers, DREAMers. We have dreams also. Every child that is native-born out there has a dream. We should not have to sacrifice for newcomers who have come in and not followed the process.
It is not a matter of going to the back of the bus again.

It is a matter of being thrown under the bus.

Under President Obama, black unemployment has risen while Hispanic employment is the fastest growing demographic.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average has doubled in the last six years.

I doubt that many black people will hold him accountable for the economic hardship they have suffered since his inauguration six years ago. Too many black people identify with him as president. They have too much invested in the First Black President to acknowledge his shortcomings. It's always the fault of the Republicans, or the Tea Party, or the Ku Klux Klan, or the monster under the bed.

Barack Obama will leave a mess of immigration just as he is leaving a mess of health insurance. Worse, he's made a mess of race relations. Democrats think this is to their advantage. We shall see.

  1. The black "leadership" has thrown in with the descendants of those who kept them down for lo, these many years. They are doing well; blacks, generally, are not.

Yes, "Whitey" is keeping them down, but it's the Whitey they keep voting for.

  2. For 50 years blacks have voted Dimocrat. Dimocrats have kept them poor, uneducated, and dependent upon the government. Meanwhile, the useful idiots in the Congressional Black Caucus live like royalty while advocating the same policies that have kept their constituencies poor, uneducated, and dependent upon the government. What's that definition of insanity again? Blacks did far better under Reagan and both Bushes than they have under Obungler. Skin color trumps reality.

  3. It's simple politics. The blacks (95%) will vote Democrat. Why should the Democrats expend political capital to buy their own plantation slaves. The Democratic policy of Hispanic as First Class Citizens above all based solely on ethnicity, not legal citizenship, is purely an exercise to add them to the plantation, too.

    1. Let me build a bit on your post. Here is what I think is going on in racial politics. The Democrats are PLANNING---PLANNING!--- to throw African-Americans under the bus just as soon as they can get the stupid Republicans agree to legalize Hispanics that have immigrated to the US and put them on the road to citizenship. Once that happens, the Democrats will begin to rely on two voting blocs, Liberal whites (who will never vote Republican) and the growing major minority of Hispanics (whose birth rate outpaces that of Caucasians and Asians). The votes of African-Americans will become expendable: they can vote their past and stay in the Democrat fold, or not. As a minority racial minority it won't matter. The Democrats won't count on or need the support of blacks. Why the Congressional Black Caucus doesn't see what's coming at them down the pike, and doesn't do something to stop it, t can't say. But if I were they, I wouldn't be such an ardent supporter of Barack Obama's immigration scheme.

  4. Something about being hoisted by one's own petard...

  5. Obama used his speech in Selma to justify giving millions of jobs that blacks used to hold to Hispanics. And they cheered him for it.

One has to wonder if blacks will ever wake up to the fact that the Democrat Party simply uses them, and now that they've bet their future on Hispanics they are selling them out in every possible way.
