Put a sock in it, Laura Bush

Laura Bush wrote a column condemning President Trump for "seperating" children from their mothers.

She was silent when Obama did it.

Her husband likely did it too.

    1. Too true. We used to buy the "lesser of two evils" argument. No more. No more RINO's, no more GOPe.

    2. And in the primaries in 2000, our choice quickly came down to the Legacy Idiot whose village in Texas was missing, and Songbird John McCain. That was a bad year for democracy.

    2. You are confusing this with the fact that Melania was separated from her parents when she migrated to the United States in 2001. Of course, she was 31 years old at the time ...

    3. Seriously. She's an American mother and citizen, she has every right to use her voice!!

  3. I condemn the parents for putting their children at risk. The Bush family should remain silent. They were disappointments while in office and worse now out of it.

Congrats again Don. Another prominent mention in Clarice Feldman’s American Thinker article today!!

  4. Laura Bush has a history of needing to take her STFU pills. She is the one who called us sexist for not wanting the unqualified Harriet Miers on the Supreme Court. God I hate that whole useless craven elitist Bush Family.

  8. From the Texas Monthly: November 1996

    "Reading Laura Bush"

In early 1994 Laura Bush wasn’t crazy about the idea of her husband running for governor of Texas. When he decided to run anyway, she made it clear that she wasn’t going to be one of those wives who are always by their husbands’ side. She liked being at home, reading books and taking care of their twin daughters.

So why is Laura Bush being criticized because she believes in the concept of "family?" Many people do! And they are not wrong.

There is no law on the books to justify Trump's extreme cruelty - and, of course, there is the 1st Amendment to protect Laura Bush and there are provisions in our immigration laws to grant entry-permitting asylum to refugees. Decisions on asylum take time and keeping families together must be a neutral consideration on the final judgement.

    1. Is there a law that says it cannot be done? If not, I say do it if it gives pause to these invaders from elsewhere. There should be no "asylum" granted to economic refugees. None. Let them apply to immigrate legally.

    2. "There is no law on the books to justify Trump's extreme cruelty ... "

What an ignorant comment, gadfly! In fact they're following the law -- a bad law -- that limits the time minors can be held in custody.

And **all** these asylum claims are fraudulent. If they were actually in peril, they could have -- and would have -- asked for asylum in Mexico.

    3. Quick question ...

Can you bring children of criminals or those being charged with a crime into jail?

This issue for some is not really about family, but the fact that they do not believe in national borders and, hence, have issues with American national sovereignty and the concept of nation states in general.

    4. I hate the whole damn issue of immigration (it just adds to all the problems in this country)
but yes I hate this particular situation because of the children

  9. The sad part is, it is oh, so, simple for those families to remain together. All they have to do, is stay HOME!

  10. Laura has "issues". A car fatal wreck in her distant past. She is also a very spoiled rich woman who married a drunk for money. So a lecture from her, an already compromised individual, atoning for her sins it appears is not appreciated.

So for the Bushes, it's more important to hurt Trump even if it hurts the country.

Besides, they're best buds with the Clintons. That's all you need to know.

They'd rather spend a week with Bubba and Hillary than five minutes with you and I.

    1. Natalie? Who she, and what she say?

It's sad that now Laura Bush is succeeding in removing any fond memories I may have had of her, following the path of her husband who I also once admired.

They should've kept their mouths shut, then I might have remained in doubt of their treachery and their devotion to the Globalist agenda.
