Barack is the next Pelosi

At the beginning of every horror flick, there is a moment when you want to scream to the heroine: don't go in there.

I wanted to shout the same thing to the 44th president when I read this headline, "Dems say Obama return from sidelines is overdue."

But he will not listen to me. Vanity eclipses reason. The siren song of sycophants lures fools.

"Obama drew headlines this week after a Politico report  revealed that he is consulting a long line of would-be 2020 candidates and offering advice to party leadership. And he drew another round of headlines when it was announced that his political committee, Organizing for Action, is revving up to help Democrats in the midterm elections," the Hill reported.

"Democrats have turned to the party patriarch as fatigue with the Clintons has set in, a factor exacerbated in recent days by former President Clinton’s tone-deaf comments on Monica Lewinsky and the Me Too movement."

Most presidents wisely leave politics (for the most part) when they leave 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Clinton largely limited himself to supporting Hillary, who after all is technically his wife. Certainly no president created a political apparatus to interfere with the political process.

"Obama for America organizers are heading to Houston and San Antonio to help flip key congressional seats from Republicans to Democrats," the Houston Chronicle reported.

"Former members of President Barack Obama’s presidential campaign have announced they are sending representatives to Houston and San Antonio as part of a nationwide effort to mobilize voters in key congressional races.

"It’s no surprise that yet another Democratic-leaning group has its sights set on the 7th Congressional District in Houston where U.S. Rep. John Culberson, R-Houston, is considered one of the most vulnerable incumbents in the nation. Voters in that suburban Houston district supported Hillary Clinton for president over President Donald Trump in 2016."

Expect a backlash.

Big time.

Obama is about to discover that he can only remind critics of what a lousy president he was, and remind many supporters of what a disappointment he was. While it is true that he can rally those who believe he succeeded, the majority of Americans believe he had his chance and should go away.

Even if he limits himself to black and Hispanic neighborhoods, people will compare what he accomplished for them in eight years to what President Trump has done in less than two years and find Obama lacking.

The true believers will credit Obama for Trump's economic success, but guess what? They were going to vote anyway.

So far, Republicans have limited their attack ad photos to showing Democratic opponents with Nancy Pelosi, Hillary, or Chuck Schumer.

Obama thinks they cannot turn his name to mud -- as he goes to play in the dirt pile below the water tower.

I should scream don't go in there, but no, let's see how this flick turns out.

Popcorn?

I thought the patriarchy was bad and was supposed to be smashed.

    1. I think only white patriarchy. Black patriarchy is not only good, it is the preferred patriarchy.

  3. Wasn't that Obama fellow the guy with the photoshopped picture claiming he bowed to Ayatollahs? We all know real leaders salute North Korean generals first. So great to see a leader with the strength to appear junior to a North Korean general. SMH.

    1. No, Zippy bowed to kings.

      As he shook their hand.

A world class piece of gaucherie

    2. The danger to the US was not Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like Obama to an office. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of Obama than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved citizenry willing to have such a man as their President.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails the US. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

The US may survive an Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their President .

His sycophants are still out there.

  5. Obama's track record at supporting other candidates is pretty weak. The people he endorses usually lose.

    1. True dat. The Dem Party cratered under Obama. Senate, House, state legislatures, governorships, the Presidency itself ... all of them were lost.
      On his watch.
      Due to his policies.

  7. He hopes to be an successful kingmaker in 18 then cash in seriously in 20. Now he won't be paid much, but then he can perhaps hit the bell if his Support proves the difference, even in one race. The bar was always set low for him anyway.

    1. Oh, he'd be successful, I have no doubt!

That's why I want Obama front and center, coming out loud & proud, puffing his chest out (well, as much as he can, anyway) and ostentatiously endorsing everyone he can! His support will make all the difference in the world, I'm positive!

I can just see the Terrible Trio of 2020: Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama and Chuck Schemer... sorry, I meant Schumer of course, standing proudly on the world stage, with lots of phony Greek columns strewn around to add gravitas. They'll issue a clarion call to raise taxes, open the borders, more muslim immigration, gun control- how could this stellar program lose? Why, it'd be monster!

Please encourage him to do it, Anon. Pretty please! We wouldn't want anyone to forget about the Black Messiah, after all!

Oh, BTW Don- that's not a dirt pile he's been playing in, it's a septic tank. Don't tell him, he might be embarrassed!

Anonym-ass, as you put it, is our pet troll in these here parts. I kinda like his cute dribble - it has an Acosta-like ring to it.

As far as Anonym-Ass, He should "troll" on a N.Y. Slimes or Alphabet network site where his lack of intelligence is better appreciated and understood.

    1. What fool would admit he voted for Obama twice?
But then about 250 or so in DC Congress would brag about it. How are these running for office going to tell Obama to please stay away? Inflated ego (first black president) will not be deterred. Will be fun to watch.
