People distrust "The International Order"? GOOD

President Donald Trump's decision to back out of the never-ratified Iran deal upset a German chancellor, as well as all those ayatollahs.

That's known as a two-fer.

"It’s not right to unilaterally cancel an accord that was negotiated, that was unanimously approved in the UN Security Council. That damages the trust in the international order," Angela Merkel told a Catholic conference.

GOOD.

If he could unilaterally cancel the deal, then it really was a U.S.-Iran deal, and who in the blazes is the UN Security Council to tell us what to do?

She also complained, "It’s no longer the case that the United States will simply just protect us. Rather, Europe needs to take its fate into its own hands, that's the task of the future."

GOOD.

We have our own country to defend. Europe needs to put on its Big Girl Panties, and defend itself.

Like Israel does.

And a warning: Don't make the United States have to go in there again and save Europe, because next time we will colonize Europe.

  1. So Merkel is using Trump's decision to head off possible further exits from the German-dominated EU like Brexit? How do you say "Never let a crisis go to waste" in Deutsch?

  2. "Colonize Europe". I say send them all the Central American illegals we have NOW.

  3. No way Big D. We’ll sit the next one out. It’s up to the Froggies and Limeys and Hermies now. Haha. That should be a show. Need to stock up on Pop Secret.

  4. Just remember that Merkel is from Dresden, i.e., she was raised in East Germany BEFORE the unification.

Her support of the (universal) international order is proof positive that you can take the girl out of East Germany, but you can't take East Germany out of the girl.

  5. next time we will colonize Europe.

Sounds right to me. We also should have colonized the Golden Circle when we had the chance.

  6. As I understand it (Rush), Iran never signed the thing, and Congress never acted on it.

And perhaps Donald should tell Europe - "Git ta gittin' on your own defense. We're pulling out of NATO in 2 years.

Oh, MY! Just watching the entire EU go "steppin' and fetchin'" would be a hilarious show! Let the EU have to pay its own freight for its defense, and they won't have all those bucks to import those wonderful fellows hell-bent on destroying what is left of European civilization.

The Cold War ended 25 years ago. Russia is not nearly the "threat" our arm-chair neo-cons say it is, nor, as history has borne out, was it close even before the USSR collapsed.

Our relationship with Europe has the be worst case of "foreign entanglement" we have ever known, and certainly the most expensive.

  7. EG Merkel... collectivism is in her blood. Not in my America!

  8. How big a loser do you have to be that an American President would rather meet with Kim Jong-un than with her?

  9. Much as wish the US would do more to colonize, I actually don't yet believe it.

However, if the US supports Kurds, and the realignment of Iraq into more clear smaller ethnic states, there would be more hope.

Swiss style Cantons are a better model over centralized multi-ethnic (ex-empire) states.
