Obama worked to undermine Trump following the election

Barack Obama's legacy is now sealed. His opposition to a peaceful transition of power will serve as a warning to all future presidents because if our republic survives the Mueller Inquisition, historians will not be kind.

Ben Rhodes has a new book that apparently reveals the depth of Obama's post-election depravity.

"In handing over power to someone determined to tear down all he had accomplished, Mr. Obama alluded to 'The Godfather' mafia movie: 'I feel like Michael Corleone. I almost got out,'" Peter Baker of the Times wrote.

Obama did not see himself as a president, but as the head of a crime syndicate. That explains his willingness to lie, cheat, and steal for power. You can keep your doctor!

"Mr. Rhodes describes the reaction of foreign leaders. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan apologized for breaching protocol by meeting with Mr. Trump at Trump Tower in Manhattan after the election. Mr. Obama urged Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada to take on a more vocal role defending the values they shared," Baker wrote.

"Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany told Mr. Obama that she felt more obliged to run for another term because of Mr. Trump’s election to defend the liberal international order. When they parted for the final time, Ms. Merkel had a single tear in her eye. 'She’s all alone,' Mr. Obama noted."

By supporting Merkel over Trump, Obama chose politics over country.

This is yet another Obama scandal.

Real presidents don't work to undermine their successors.

Wannabe mobsters do.

So, the evidence of Obama's "depravity," and which is a "scandal" according to Mr. Surber, is:

    1. PM Abe apologizing to Obama for a breach of protocol.
    2. Obama suggesting to PM Trudeau that he become more vocal in expressing shared values.
    3. Merkel telling Obama that Trump's election persuaded her to seek another term.
    4. Obama quoted a famous line from Godfather 3.

Am I missing anything or mischaracterizing the supposed "undermining" of Trump's Presidency?

    1. Yes, you're missing the actual actions done by Obama and co.: the spying, the leaking, the compilation of false "dossiers," and so forth.

Typical of you, to ignore the actions and focus on the words.

    4. Gee, Jonny, I don't know, maybe by reading some other posts on the subject?

In real life, if someone informs you of something today and another thing the next day or the next week, do you "conveniently" forget the first one?

    5. Let's review. Mr. Surber wrote a post in which he asserted that President Obama was engaging in "post-election depravity" that should be considered a scandal. He then wrote about 4 events, which I understood to be examples of such scandalous behavior. I don't think that's an unreasonable thing to assume.

I pointed out that none of those events were scandalous in the least, or in any way established that Obama was "undermining" Trump's Presidency.

And your reply is to tell me to read other posts? What was the point of listing the events if not to show Obama's "depravity"? I don't get it.

    6. So Obama and the worst German Chancellor since Hitler were "defending the liberal international order"? They were importing 3rd World welfare bums to destroy it. As for Obama's beloved Trudeau, he is a buffoon:

    1. Implying that since no one did [collude with Russia], then the [FBI] should not be "investigating" it. See how easy it is?

    2. That is a quote from POTUS, however it was also before it was discovered that the FBI inserted a mole in the campaign prior to anyone even considering Russia as a threat.

  3. Justin Trudeau is even more vapid than Obama. It's a sign of just how irrelevant Canada is in the grand scheme of things that they can be "led" by such an insignificant lightweight and there be no consequences. Obama can have him.

As for Merkel, having Obama in her corner is excellent news for those who want to see her shunted off the world stage ASAP. Again, she and Obama can have each other.

I do not like Obama plotting with world leaders to undermine POTUS-Trump. John Kerry's recent lovemaking sessions with the Mullahs in Iran were particularly treasonous, and seems to be well beyond anything Obama himself has done so far. I'm guessing Kerry was acting as a free agent since even Obama would know enough not to trust Kerry to pull off something like that.

So Obama is palsy-walsies with Prime Minister Zoolander and the irrelevant has-been of irrelevant Western Europe. So. Frickin'. What. The adults on the world stage have moved on without him and Zoolander and Merkel and anyone from the E.U.

  6. This is weak. Obama supported Merkle just like a couple of hundred million others. He didn't sabatoge Trump by doing so. Also he was still president. Abe and others came to see Trump on their own because of his election rhetoric about tarrifs. They even knew they had broken protocol. Criticizing O with this is ineffective. There are other excerpts of Rhodes book now on line that are more damaging than what the NYT reviewed, as one might imagine.

  8. I don’t give a shit what Rhodes’ book does or doesn’t say. Barack Obama was the worst President in American history. Worse than Carter. Worse than Harding. Worse than Grant. Worst.

  9. The real evidence of Obama's "depravity" is that he never signaled a willingness to take kickbacks from foreign entities. Hows the Trump family supposed to get a taste of the action if the Obama's didn't have a hotel to launder money into their pockets or secure trademark rights for their daughter? The Obamas' uppity compliance with ethics makes it hard for this to work for the Trump family.

  10. Obama knew that it would not be difficult nor take long for Trump to undo his legacy. That's why the lakeside edifice he is building for himself in Chicago is no presidential library but a house of worship for his cult followers.

When I first read that line, I remembered that picture of Merkel, Obama, Cameron, Hollande and Renzi at some summit. She's the only one left now, so she really IS all alone.

    1. Merkel and Obama have similar views about defense:

--Germany’s military is on life support after years of cuts and underinvestment, according to a damning report that says Europe’s biggest industrial power is in no position to undertake any fresh assignments abroad.

A 1,200-word independent report released to the country’s parliament represents a shattering putdown of the Bundeswehr, and says fresh investment is needed urgently from the German government.

The report, by the external auditors KPMG, the engineering company P3, and the law firm Taylor Wessing, comes days after Ursula von der Leyen, the defence minister, admitted that the country’s military was facing crippling equipment shortages and would be unable to meet its Nato commitments.

It said delays and overspends in ongoing projects totalled £45 billion — two thirds of the entire German defence budget.--

  12. When the Dems and their handmaidens & footmen in the MSM kept yammering about a "peaceful transition of power," I knew they meant no such thing.

That one world government isn't going to happen without help, y'know.

The more they stressed their nobility, the more I knew I had to count my silverware.
