Proof illegal aliens cost black workers jobs

Via Breitbart News, an update on Cloverhill bakery in Chicago, which hired and exploited 800 illegal aliens (which made up 35% of its staff). President Trump busted the company for exploiting illegal aliens.

80% of the replacement workers are black.

"Aryzta bought Cloverhill in 2014. At the time, according to bakery employees and community organizers, most of the employees were natives of Mexico, most who’d been hired through Labor Network, a temporary-employment agency," the Chicago Sun-Times reported in February.

By natives of Mexico, the mean illegal aliens. President Obama knew about this and did nothing.

"In 2015, under the Obama administration, ICE inspected the documentation of Labor Network’s employees at Cloverhill. In May 2017, the Trump administration sent letters to about 800 employees, saying they weren’t authorized to work in the United States, records examined by the Chicago Sun-Times show," the Sun-Times reported.

"Those Hispanic employees didn’t return to work, leaving the bakery desperate to fill their jobs. So the company turned to another placement agency, Metro Staff Inc., and it provided Cloverhill with workers screened through the government’s E-Verification program. Most of those new employees are African American."

And this is where the rubber hits the road.

The illegal aliens worked for an average of $10 an hour.

The black workers get $14 an hour.

That is according to Felix Okwusa, a former consultant for the bakery. He told the company black workers "displayed a higher turnover rate of over 40 percent and a lower efficiency rate than their Hispanic co-workers."

Well, where else were the illegal aliens going to work? Real Americans had other opportunities, and took them.

"One of the facts of the case — and a reality in America — is that the immigrants do the work for less than an American will"” says Okwusa’s lawyer, George Oparanozie. "It shows the dynamics of immigration in this country. Many of these Hispanic workers have been here a long time, pay taxes in a lot of instances, and many of them could now be kicked out of the country."

This was the spin from a lawyer for someone who exploits people. He portrayed Americans as lazy and demanding to be paid too much money.

For decades, businesses have exploited illegal aliens and kept wages low.

President Trump is changing that by enforcing the law. The losers are the globalists (the bakery is owned by a company in Switzerland). The winners are Americans, in this case, African-Americans.

  1. Every time black folks pull the lever for democrat it's a vote against their own self-interests. Unless, of course, they like being crowded out of entry level jobs, having depressed wages, or just flat like being on the government teat.

I look for the democrats to cut black folks loose soon: with the super emergence of Latino folks seemingly willing to vote for big government the black folks may not be worth it for them to pander to in the end.

    1. They cut them lose a long time ago. They keep them poor, uneducated and dependent upon the government. Blacks don't realize this and their congresscritters don't care about them. - GOC

    2. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, Reverends both, men of the cloth, would go ballistic. That would be fun to see.

I am a man of the cloth (emeritus), and those two individual long ago renounced whatever vows they "might" have taken as Ministers of the Gospel.

They are but black Elmer Gantry's.

    4. I use that term in reference to Jackson and Sharpton lightly and sarcastically. All they preach is hate.

  2. As anyone who has an open mind, all to many entry level jobs from framing a house to installing drywall are taken by illegals. I had subs who hired Hispanics and it was apparent they worked very hard to meet my schedules but violated safety rules. I couldn't challenge if they were legal without causing more problems than I could legally handle on my 15 projects, but the story about doing jobs American's won't do is partially correct; They have too few choices on jobs available to send money home, so they take what they can get unlike most Americans, but not this one nor my children.

    1. If one contractor is allowed to use illegals, all contractors must do the same to be price-competitive.
The community is damaged with money outflow to Mexico, flooded hospitals, higher crime, rule of law becomes a joke.

  3. Change will come slowly until there are harsh disincentives for illegals to work and harsh disincentives for Americans of working age not to work. Both are needed.

    1. What is critically needed is harsh disincentives for people who hire illegal aliens. If they didn't provide the jobs the illegal alien problem would evaporate. - Elric

  4. All abusers of cheap illegal labor talk about how much illegals pay in taxes. Using stolen ID and SSN's, they then file fraudulent tax returns claiming non-existent children and Earned Income Tax Credit for gigantic tax refunds which further subsidizes cheap labor fraud businesses.

  7. Contrary to some commenters here, I think recent statements tend to reinforce the idea that none of this is lost on the African community.

Whether they vote R is one thing.

Whether they vote at all is quite another.

  8. Need to chime in here as I am in postion to know the facts in this case. Ayrzta was in fact locked into a long term agreement with Labor Network, and since the purchase of Cloverhill had been trying to move to different staffing firms. In fact, 30% of the employees had been converted by the time this happened. Moreover, the change in labor rate has less to do with the employees and more to do with the raise in the minimum wage passed by the city of Chicago. even though only one location is inside city limits, the other which is only slightly outside of the city is still affected by the raise in minimum wage for recruiting and retention.
