Now we're "misfits"

Racist didn't work. Xenophobic didn't work. Misogynist didn't work. Deplorables didn't work. The Marxist name-callers were in a panic.

Mike Allen, founder of such Fake News sites as Politico and Axios, which front Democratic talking points, threw out misfits this weekend.

"As President Trump increasingly tunes out formal advisers, there's a growing list of misfits and hangers-on that he just can’t seem to quit — and whose advice he seems to welcome and even adopt," Allen wrote.

The picture accompanying his story was of President Trump and boxing promoter Don King, who went from Mansfield Reformatory to millionaire. Misfit? Maybe Allen believes all black felons should spend the rest of their lives stepping and fetching for him.

Trump has done business with King for more than 30 years. In their heyday, they put together some of the best matches, and made money.

"Trump is successfully resisting the West Wing bubble that tended to imprison his predecessors. But he fills his time and mind with colorful, marginal thinkers who reinforce his instincts rather than broadening his horizon — comfort food, rather than nutrition," Allen wrote.

How does Allen know this?

Does Allen ever leave his little bubble in Washington doing the bidding of his financiers and the party he serves?

Donald Trump has friends. He meets with them. Stop the presses.

I also hear he plays golf. But don't say you heard it here.

  1. What sorta pansy name-calling is “misfit” anyway?

You imagine John McClane saying to Hans Gruber “Yippee ki yay, misfit”...?

  2. You're correct, he has no way of knowing what's going on in the White House, or how Trump gets his information and makes decisions.

Keep in mind, this is the neo-Nazi movement. They are trying to stifle free speech via a propaganda campaign; name-calling is a propaganda tactic.

The News Media Alliance, which consists of 2200 so-called news entities in North America thinks they are supposed to 1) control what people think. 2) create the agenda for the country. 3) Advocate for the people.
They are wrong on all three counts. They are supposed to objectively report the news. That's what 67% of the people say they want. We elect representatives to set the agenda. People will do their own advocating without the assistance of the extremely biased News Media.

  3. Backtracking from "Nazi", "Fascist", "Wingnuts"...whatever. Keeping those in reserve in hopes they'll regain some of their old magic. Good luck with that.

  4. The Misfits was a good movie starring Gable and Monroe. As a pejorative, the term has little use today. No one is a misfit in PC land, just not understood, or given enough respect for his better qualities, so often hidden away under a scruffy jobless exterior. Isn't that the usual media narrative?
Who are the non misfits, the geniuses, the wise men,
Trump is supposed to consult? John Kerry, Valeri Jarret, Michelle, HC, BJC, Comey, Ayatollah Brennan, Pantsonfire Clapper, gunrunner Holder, Reid Rotten,Tics Pelosi, AA2DW Schulz, all the swamis BO consulted about where best to pour water into the fuel lines of great country? Maybe the Politico itself, you know with a red phone...
I saw King once a few years ago arriving on a midnight flight at LGA. He was by himself, no entourage, but the respect for him by the locals, the world's hardest crowd, was obvious to me. Trump should follow his bliss and do what he can to get realistic assessments of how best to deal with very difficult people, the main job, his own misfits hired him to do.

    1. The final movie for both Clark and Marilyn, sadly. Eli Wallach and Monty Clift were good in it too.

  6. "But he fills his time and mind with colorful, marginal thinkers who reinforce his instincts......."

Yes, and it's a wonderful thing: His Instincts are the best thing that has happened to this nation since - or possibly even before - Eisenhower.

No wonder his "Approval Ratings" keep going up, despite over 90% negative press.

    More Trump "Instincts", please!

  10. Misfit? Deplorable? RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACist? Bitter-clinging. None of that is the least bit insulting to us Trump-lovers.

You really want to insult us? You really want to call us something that will get us angry and upset and foaming-at-the-mouth? To really get us upset and furious, here's what you have to call us:

    Late for Dinner.

  18. They're so pissed that Trump isn't filling the stables with swamp critters that know what business-as-usual is, and are willing to play that game because everyone leaves with a much fatter pocket than what they came with. They get richer, Americans get poorer in every single way.
