The media learns the Trump Effect is real

Why do people feud with Donald John Trump? The road to perdition is littered with the shattered reputations of those who indulged in this folly. The only person to ever feud with The Donald and come out better for the ordeal was Vince McMahon -- and that was a Fake Feud to promote one of his Wrestlemanias.

It set a record.

Now the news media in general has discovered its war with Trump carries a significant price.

The initial ratings are good. Sure. His primary debates set records in audiences. But the loss of credibility and the inability to deliver on promises of impeachment or any other form of removal from office erodes that audience.

John Nolte of Breitbart News listed the mass layoffs in the media reflecting those drops in revenue.

"We will start with the Denver Post, which announced Thursday that, between April 9 and July 1, 30 jobs will be cut from its newsroom. That is a massive 30 percent cut of its current staff of 100 journalists.  Just 10 years ago according to the far-left Washington Post, the Denver Post employed 600 journalists. That is close to a 90 percent reduction in only a decade," Nolte wrote.

His list was long and showed a media that needs sugar daddies to stay alive.

"CNN is not only collapsing in the ratings but dealing with some massive layoffs of its own. Over the past few years, CNN, which continues its ludicrous pose as an objective news organization, has been in a credibility death spiral, and that is finally starting to take a real toll on the anti-Trump cable channel," Nolte wrote.

The Trump Effect is neither karma nor the working of the president. The Trump Effect holds that by feuding with Trump, a person stops taking care of business, and winds up losing in some other area.

Trump is immune because he incorporated feuding into his marketing strategy. This is how he promotes his brand. It's ingenious because he is a genius -- a very sane genius.

Some readers have pointed out that what did Rosie O'Donnell in was her sandbagging Tom Selleck about the NRA that set her down the path to ruin.

Maybe, but feuding with Trump accelerated her descent.

Because the list is about specific people or organizations, I am not adding the media in general to the list. I want to add them individually.

  3. Big D, I would advise that you shut down that list. If you don't, by 2020, it's gonna be longer than War and Peace...

Have you got a draft of Stormy Daniels ready yet? Hahaha!

  4. Historically, some nations or tribes or men or women have had a lot of success, or spectacular failure, when "the universe" (or fate) went their way ... or didn't.

In the list provided, fate was definitely going the wrong way.

  5. If Jesus made the same offer to all of these hypocrites as he made to the crowd gathered to stone the woman taken in adultery, the safest place to stand would be directly in front of President Trump.

  6. Interesting to contrast this with the Obama Effect: where everything he touched turned to feces.
