President congratulates Putin, a tale of media bias

The Washington Post ran a story today, "Trump's national security advisers warned him not to congratulate Putin.  He did it anyway."

Never mind that we did not elect his advisers; we elected the president. No this is Donald Trump, rogue elephant.

And God bless him, despite and because of what the media thinks.

The press did not always think Putin was evil.

"President Obama called Russian President-elect and Prime Minister Putin to congratulate him on his recent victory in the Russian Presidential election," the White House said on March 9, 2012.

Apparently his advisers, including communist-voting John Brennan, his head of the CIA, told him to do so.

But today, the media ran wild with the Post's rogue elephant story despite the many fabrications the Post has run citing anonymous sources.

(My favorite is the story about the Vermont utility being hacked by Russia -- except the utility's computer isn't online. Oops.)

Others upped the stakes.

Comcast's NBC subsidiary reported, "Trump, master of the political insult, declines to chide Putin."

This comes just three weeks after NBC complained, "After barely one year in office, the president is crippling our diplomatic and development capabilities at the senior, mid- and entry level of the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development."

Now suddenly Trump being diplomatic is a bad thing?

John McCain called Obama out on congratulating Putin. I suspect McCain will do the same now, if he is up to it physically.

But FDR worked with Stalin to defeat Hitler. We are working with Russia in battling Islamic terrorists.

The post-communism Red Scare by the media amuses me because after years of Trump bashing, the media bias is ineffectual, and laughably so.

  1. Really? If you want to pretend that the circumstances were the same in 2012 as they are now, you're going to have to ignore the recent poisonings in London and the interference in the 2016 election.

    1. If he had not called, you would be comparing him unfavorably to the previous president, who did call despite some pretty serious political happenings at the time- remember the new rules.

    2. Who do you think ordered the poisoning of Litvinenko?

    3. Just because MI6 says it was Putin doesn't make it so. This guy was a money-grubbing traitor. He did his spying AGAINST Russia for pay. And he was/is an MI6 asset just as Steele is. Who is to say that he wasn't ready to blab on who at MI6 was helping with the piss dossier again for money and needed to be shut up.
And WHAT Russia interference except the usual agit-prop which is indestinguable from the Democrat agin-prop?

  4. The media spent 8 years at one point telling us that "sex" doesn't matter, and now, they are trying to convince us that it does. What does that tell you?

    1. You think the media behaved as if Bill Clinton having sex with Monica Lewinsky didn't matter? You're either too young to recall or badly deluded.

    2. Try again.

The talking point was, "It was only sex", when they said oral sex counted as sex at all.

I remember very well. And, yes, you're deluded.

    3. I remember that like it was yesterday. In fact, the man who was best man at my wedding tried that argument. Haven't spoken to or seen him since.

Britain refuses to release any of the info they are supposed to release to Russia.

      Point, accuse, pull diplomats.

  6. The media loved it when obama and hillary were using facebook's data, but, now they find out that President Trump used it and it's a crime. What does that tell you?

  8. The media writes Trump hate for it's subscribers like our own anonymous, autonomous, humorless drone. At WaPo It keeps them loyal and mindlessly clicking away like rats sipping cocaine, just as Emperor Bezos told his slaves it would when he purchased them in rags from their previous print masters. Yes he is a genius, I give him that. But does he or his collared band really care if Trump called Vlad? Not a jot. What is important to them is that droney cares. He is the means to sustainable lying, the foundation for relevance and power, money money money money. Heck of a job Droney.

  13. President Trump disregarded "DO NOT CONGRATULATE"?

    Also disregarded:

DO NOT TELL PUTIN "I'LL BE MORE FLEXIBLE AFTER I FOOL THE VOTERS ONE LAST TIME".

DO NOT TELL PUTIN "OF COURSE YOU CAN HAVE 20% OF OUR URANIUM--WOULD YOU LIKE 30%?"

DO NOT TELL PUTIN "SURE YOU CAN BUILD A MILITARY BASE IN THE MID-EAST FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE WE KICKED YOU OUT IN '73!"

DO NOT TELL PUTIN "PODESTA SURE WOULD LIKE TO BE BUSINESS PARTNERS WITH YOU IN THE RUSSIAN ENERGY BUSINESS."

DO NOT TELL PUTIN "OF COURSE BILL WOULD LOVE TO GIVE LOTS OF HALF-MILLION DOLLAR SPEECHES IN MOSCOW!"

DO NOT TELL PUTIN "DON'T WORRY , VLAD--WE'LL NEVER GIVE THE UKRAINIANS WEAPONS."

DO NOT TELL PUTIN "YOUR ENERGY BLACKMAIL OVER WESTERN EUROPE IS SAFE WITH US!"

DO NOT ETC ETC ETC COMRADE

Putin is no friend of America--but unlike this gang, at least he doesn't pretend he is.

  14. How dare the KGB kill a Russian without informing the CIA first!, squeal American Democrat patriots, in the breaths between their squeals against our Constitution.

In other news, Trump just killed 300 Russians in Syria, called Putin to say "What's up?" and Democrats squeal like stuck pigs.

    Democrats.
