A boycott is terrorism?

Out: Everyone I Don't Like Is Hitler.

In: Everyone I Don't Like Is a Terrorist.

Democratic Governor Dannel Malloy called the National Rifle Association a terrorist organization.

"They act, quite frankly, in some cases as a terrorist organization. You want to make safer guns? We will boycott your company. That’s who they are. That’s what they do," Malloy told Fox 61 in his home state.

Yes, I remember when Bill Ayers boycotted the Pentagon.

Yes, I remember 9/11 when 19 terrorists boycotted the Twin Towers.

Yes, I remember when two brothers who were Islamic refugees boycotted the Boston Marathon.

Words have meaning. The left keeps watering down evil by applying words inappropriately. Calling a group terrorists simply because they use their God-given right to protest normalizes terrorism. Not watching an NFL game is the same as trying to blow up the Pentagon.

They did the same thing with racism. Nazis. Hitler.

Yet when faced with actual terrorism, they call it workplace violence.

The media chose to go to war with Donald John Trump in 2017 rather than accept him as president.

The media chose poorly.

Fake News Follies of 2017 shows how and why.

What readers are saying:

Rob Miller: "What we have here is nothing less than a detailed, well written chronicle of exactly how the American press abandoned all semblance of scruples and journalistic ethics once Donald J. Trump became president. Like Surber's other books, this one will have you laughing out loud and you will find it difficult to put down."

PSD: "Like his other books, it is written with wonderful wit filled insight, rare in political commentary today. The style is one of gentle humor and common sense. It is refreshingly devoid of malice and partisan contempt, easy reading with not a few laughs along the way."

rurallbob: "Another winner from Don Surber."

Richard: "Funny, well written and well organized, Fake News Follies is an entertaining and thoughtful look at the news coverage provided by the press to the American people. Clearly they are not playing it straight. Sure, the press makes mistakes. It's inevitable. But when the totality of news stories not hewing to the known facts is collected and presented as it is in this volume there is but one explanation. Fake News. Don Surber brings to the subject insight that only a veteran newsman could provide. I wish this book would be read by everyone but especially people opposed to Trump because I think it would be sufficient to challenge even a closed off worldview."

A. Brogden: "Unlike Kurtz 's book, Media Madness, which sought to justify and explain away the lies and prejudices of the anti-Trump MSM, Surber relentlessly and methodically documents the tsunami of BS the press has served up since the upset victory by President Trump. Almost without exception everything Trump has done as president has been distorted, mischaracterized, or flat out lied about for over a year. This is how you get 90% negative reporting. This is how you get the press with 28% trust ratings. And by God this is how you get eight years of Trump as President."

A Kindle reader: "Easy read, a great compilation of biased new coverage of Trump before and after the election. I started out anti Trump and reluctantly voted for him for one reason only, He was not Hillary. This book is a great reference when people claim the MSM is not biased and does not publish fake news. It reinforces Glenn Reynolds description of the press as Democrat operatives with bylines."

Fake News Follies of 2017 is available on Kindle and in paperback.

Autographed copies are available. Email me at DonSurber@GMail.com for details. I am including a "director's cut." I will give you the original Chapter 1 that I cut because while the chapter was amusing, it really had nothing to do with the Fake News Follies of 2017.

  1. Hasn't every mass shooter in history done so in the name of the NRA? No? How about holding hostages in order to demand the release of the NRA thirteen or some such? I know. They do it to bring awareness to the need for better marksmanship in the military. No?

Gotta be some angle here someplace. Maybe under that rock.

  2. Perhaps this headline explains the leftist Progressive point of view:

"We’re letting mentally ill people walk around. Do you like the results?"

    1. Not just letting them walk around, responsible for releasing them.

    2. In California, we don't just let the mentally ill walk around- we elect them to high offices & give them mansions to live in, while they ruin our once-Golden State.

Even the ones voting for them aren't walking around- they're driving Teslas, thanks to gov't subsidies.

If I didn't have any sense or conscience, then I too might be a wealthy CA liberal!

  3. The conceptual relationships between the NRA and Malloy's state is quite interesting in terms of "terrorism", or more appropriately lawlessness. The NRA has historically been on the correct side of civil rights, as explicitly specified in the constitution. On the other hand, Connecticut merchants have historically been some of the most corrupt and lawless people in the Union, oftentimes acting as terrorists if you want to frame it in terms of constitutional violations. Only one example is that Connecticut merchants were caught red-handed engaging in slave trade and smuggling slaves to the South as late as 1863. Earlier, Connecticut members of the Continental army (and there were few) were so morally and ethically challenged that armies of the Southern states (the majority) refused to fight with them.

So, let Dannel "Magazine Ban" Malloy spout off all he wants while normal people watch him and his state do what they do best. There have been at least 10 generations of lawless inbreeding in Connecticut.

  4. The start of the 2020 campaign is coming up soon.
Going to be interesting to watch how the nevertrumpers react to the realization that there is not going to be a viable alternative.

They gonna sit it out, or try to screw up things for the rest of us?

How are we going to respond to perfidy?

    I can't wait.

    2. We KKKalifornians have been depending on NY, IL or MA to pass us by on the race to the bottom. Nice to see there are other contenders. Maybe we won't be first!
The KKK spelling is in recognition of the joy CA Dems take in exploiting cheap illegal labor while saddling the non elites with the social stresses that result: crime, poverty, costs due to people with no car or medical insurance, classrooms crowded with kids whose English is poor and hold all the kids back, and on and on.

  6. "You want to make safer guns?" What does he mean by 'safer guns?' Is he talking about smartguns, which the government could turn off with the push of a button? Thank you for fighting that, NRA. The only way to make guns safer is to teach people how to use them.

  7. Dems looooooooove to insult us. Of course, that's how we'll GET MORE TRUMP.

  8. Pale skinned folks aren't terrorists, duh. At most pale skinned NRA members are "emotionally disturbed" or "troubled". Look at the fine "emotionally disturbed" gentleman who shot up the school in Florida. Police took him to the hospital when he reported breathing problems. Darker complected terrorist shooters would never get such treatment.

Don't forget that the NRA supported an open carry ban (1967 Mulford Gun Ban Act, signed by Reagan) when black folks decided to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.

    1. "Darker complected terrorists" did get such treatment or is Cruz a "white Hispanic". In Broward County the "darker complected" thugs were not arrested for crimes as a result of Obungler/Holder policies to keep "darker complected" thugs out of prison. And what about Black Lies Matter? Now there is a real terrorist organization that calls for killing cops. The NRA, OTOH, does not call for the killing of anyone.

As Don said, "In: Everyone I don't like is a terrorist."

In your mind, In: Everyone I don't like is a racist.

    2. Ok are you a paleface, mr. Coward anon. ? My Mixed race family -Granma was of Cherokee heritage
and showed it,- were harrased by members of that Democrat business man's Klub the KKK in when they moved to Oregon from
Missouri. Granpa worke in town at the UP railroad -so she kept her Colt.45 and her black powder .12ga ready. Granpa saved a
Catholic Priest from a beating by two KKK members. He used a horsewhip. My Pop risked his job to hire a black friend to work at a local hardware store .
The common thread here is THE
DEMOCRAT PARTY. As it is now.
Opression of freedom is the goal
Blacks onthe plantation and sevile, same with Hispanics.
and do not get me started about
life on the Rez. All held in place by Dem polices and programs. Gun control was the
result of keeping guns out of the hands of blacks. I personally know black NRA members. (One of them is the son of the man my Pop hired.
The normals are "woke" and they are not all white either.
      BTW I'm all three races..
Republicans:"A rising tide lifts all boats."

And the NRA board that did that? VOTED OUT, as this lying sack of hog squeeze knows.

  10. Instead of regulating THINGS, a far more constructive and likely to succeed approach is to incarcerate people who make violent threats until they can prove they are not effing insane sociopaths.
