Trump inspires fight against the Islamic State

Testosterone is contagious.

America elected someone who has it to replace someone who didn't always show he had it.

That is making the world safer.

David Ignatius of the Washington Post just returned from Syria. He told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" show of the great successes U.S.-backed forces are having lately against the Islamic State.

Via Legal Insurrection:
IGNATIUS: I'm going to say something that in some ways is sympathetic to Trump. As I traveled across Syria, meeting with Syrian fighters who were trying to take down the regime of Bashar al Assad, every time the name “President Trump” was mentioned, there were cheers from the audience.
One Syrian Kurdish commander used a vulgar term, in Spanish it would be cojones, to describe what President Trump has got and why they like him.
More seriously, the big attacks that have taken place around Raqqa, one in particular, a surprise landing by helicopter, I was told by the top US commanders, would not have taken place if it hadn’t been for President Trump’s decision to delegate military authorities down to the level of command.
I mean, under Obama that would have taken a couple weeks of White House meetings and then they still wouldn’t have made up their mind.  In this case there was not one meeting. They just said, General Townsend, the commander in Baghdad, you decide.
And three days later, these Kurds who’d never seen an airplane or helicopter had been helicoptered across a lake for a surprise attack that is probably the most daring and decisive of the war. So, do need to put this in perspective. Yes, there are a lot of people around the world who are appalled, but there are some people who say this image of strength that he’s projecting is something that they like.
It's called leadership.

Trump has it.

Leadership is not a gift but a skill. Trump developed it over nearly 45 years as a CEO. He hired good people, gave them a goal, and then trusted them to carry out his wishes.

The results are dozens of skyscrapers, resorts, gold courses, and the like all over the world.

He is an inspiration to others.

And there is nothing vulgar about having cojones.

There is something amiss when a man does not have them.

  1. This is what you expect when you have a President who's on the side of america, as opposed to one who's on the side of the Moslem crazies.

  2. It is hard to know what Obama as president really cared about other than himself or avoiding blame. He lost nothing personal in taking office, quite the opposite, although he often complained about his good fortune. Trump gave up a good deal , not just in money, and may pay even more before it is over.
The middle east is a group of male dominated polities mostly given to hyperbole and cowardice. But it is one place where actions do mean so much more than words. Trump in a way is at home in such a space, Obama not at all. For him it was not safe.

  3. obama didn't always show he had cojones? When did obama EVER show cojones? He was a "girly man." If ever the WH displayed cojones when obama was president they would have been valerie's.

  5. Don't forget his time at a military school. He learned leadership there, too.

  6. If you're going to fight terrorists, by God you FIGHT terrorists! You don't sit around and talk about it, you DO it until there are no terrorists left. THEN you can sit around and talk.

  7. America first, including killing terrorists over there before they come here.

  8. You tell the men in the theater what you want done, give them the materials they request, and let them direct the day-to-day operations. What an old-fashioned concept. "Give me the tools and material and get out of my way."
