Start Chick-fil-Gay then

The boycott against Chick-fil-A by "gay rights activists" (Marxists who use the problems of homosexuals to exploit them) failed spectacularly -- fabulously -- a few summers ago.

Now students at Youngstown State University want the college to enforce the boycott by shutting Chick-fil-A down.

My first reaction was good, more chicken for me.

From Campus Reform:
A petition is demanding that Youngstown State University the Chick-fil-A on campus, saying access to late-night chicken “adds to the negative experience of LGBT students.”
Noting that the Chick-fil-A is “the only place to get food in the evenings,” the Change.org petition complains that while the restaurant chain has apologized for “statements by its founders regarding members of the LGBT community,” the business “is still donating money to anti-LGBT organizations.”
The question is why does Chick-fil-A have no competition?

Low demand?

Wouldn't Taco Bell be a better fit?

But if the gay crowd really wanted to do promote its cause, the group would start its own chicken sandwich place. Chick-fil-A may have "invented" the chicken sandwich, but it is not as if you cannot fry chicken, slap it between two slices of bread and make a few bucks off it.

Problem solved.

  1. Let'em have a wienie world so they will stop whining. Locally, when the "big" boycott happened we had three Chick Fil A's. Now there are five.

  2. It is almost like students don't understand that if you don't give them your business, Chick Fil A would go out of business.

    1. I like SOS and any MRE with red sauce in the main meal. (Haven't had an MRE since '94, but the hospital where I worked had SOS as a breakfast choice for two or three mornings a week.) Great stuff.

  7. Both Zaxby's and Raising Cane's set up their first restaurants right outside college campuses. So it's not like opening a chicken restaurant near a college is a unique concept, but it seems to be beyond these students. BTW, the Raising Cane's founders got a B- on their business plan from the professors. Seems like that is a common theme if I remember the history of Fedex correctly.
