Yearbook censor suspended

While the Fake News media raised a bigger uproar defending a play that depicts the assassination of President Trump, a real act of censorship went largely unnoticed and uncommented upon.

The yearbook adviser at Wall Township High School censored pro-Trump messages on the shirts of at least three students.  Two students wore shirts with "Trump-Pence" on them. Another student wore a T-shirt that said, "Trump Make America Great Again."

The adviser had the words removed.

Big mistake.

The only reason a student's image would be altered is if it was in violation of the district's dress code, such as clothing referencing drugs, alcohol or violence, the school superintendent later said.

From Fox News:
Cheryl Dyer, the superintendent of Wall Township Public Schools told me the yearbook adviser has been suspended amid an investigation into the alteration of photos and the omission of text from students who support President Trump.
“The Board of Education president authorized me to suspend the yearbook adviser. I cannot comment further on personnel matters at this time,” Dyer told me.
In an earlier statement, Dyer said the school district values free speech and said the allegations of censorship were disturbing.
“Any inappropriate challenge to these principles will be rectified as swiftly and thoroughly as possible,” she said.
She went on to say “the administration does not condone any censorship of political views on the part of our students.”
Good for Dyer and her school board.

Where were the free speech editorials defending the students -- or do newspapers now defend only the free speech that calls for decapitating or slaying with knives President Trump?

Hate the media? Love the Trump?
Read the best two books on the subject.

On November 8, 2016, the American people said, "Trump the Establishment!"

Now read the book that explains how and why the press missed this historic election.

It is available on Kindle, and in paperback.

And then read the original, "Trump the Press," which chronicled and mocked how the media missed Trump's nomination.

  1. They stab him with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast...

  2. Typical Leftie. With this episode on her resume she will probably get a job at a Leftie newspaper. - Elric

    1. A great George Harrison sub exercise - replace "Piggies" with "Lefties" and see how spot-on the lyrics are!

  3. She will probably be Hillary's press wait. I just remembered that Hillary wasn't elected. Wasn't she ahead by 50 points?

  4. The local news should have covered that.

    1. They tried to..... Word got out anyway.

    2. Gooooooooooooooooooooood one!

  5. “Any inappropriate challenge to these principles will be rectified as swiftly and thoroughly as possible,” she said.

Total CYA BS. If they really wanted to "rectify" the situation, they'd not only fire this "adviser", they'd re-print the yearbook.

But they'll do no such thing.

  6. Was this suspension with or without pay?
