Defiant Girl Acosta proves Trump is no tyrant

CNN is the Coward News Network. When Saddam Hussein threatened network to shut down its Baghdad bureau, CNN agreed to ignore his atrocities and report only the good things Hussein did, which kept the bureau open.

Therefore, the hard time CNN tries to give President Trump is a sign that our nation is healing from the Chicago-style politics of the past, because if Trump were a strongman, CNN would cower.

The sophomoric antics of Jim Acosta, CNN's senior White House correspondent, amuse me because his over-the-top rhetoric would not be possible if Trump were truly were what Acosta says he is.

Acosta reminds me of that Defiant Girl statue on Wall Street, trying to face off with the Bull statue.

The latest rant from Defiant Girl Acosta:
I asked this question of the president when he was running to win the White House, 'Can you withstand the scrutiny that comes with being president of the United States?' He didn't like that question. He snapped at me during that news conference. It was May of last year. And, you know, I think that there are moments when this president is just really sensitive to criticism and he lashes out in this fashion.
I think [guest] Matt [Schlapp] is right to some extent, that yes, some of the coverage can get a little too negative sometimes, and that happened during the Obama administration. That happens during other administrations. Coverage of the president is tough, but that's the territory we're in right now.
But I think to paint everybody with a broad brush is just not the right thing. And Wolf, what we're witnessing right now is just this erosion of our freedoms in terms of covering the president of the United States. The president has only held one full news conference since the beginning of his administration, and that was in February. That's way behind the average of other presidents in modern times.
This issue of turning off the cameras in the briefing rooms. Wolf, I could hold up my phone tomorrow and livestream that press briefing with Sean Spicer or Sarah Sanders, whoever comes in there, and that is just where technology is right now. To think that we're going backwards and not having things on camera to me is just preposterous.
Hahahaha.

Obama was a wuss who CNN and everyone else handled with kid gloves because they feared being called a racist if they told the truth about him.

CNN went Full DPRK News in praising Obama's IQ, basketball prognostications, and oratory skills. That last one was disproved every time the teleprompter went out and he was left to sputtering until he said Okie Dokey, or something equally inane.

Acosta went on CNN and said whatever the hell he wanted about the president, and yet Acosta declared, "What we're witnessing right now is just this erosion of our freedoms in terms of covering the president of the United States."

Sure, pal, sure.

If by "erosion" he means "restoration," because now it is OK to berate the president again.

  1. I feel like his "Kenneth, what is the frequency?" moment is coming very, very soon. Popcorn won't make the for that one; I'll need a tank of nitrous oxide.

  2. CNN is still in the business of praising Obama. Just saw an article lauding his choice of jeans. Funny thing. In one of the pictures you can see the plain outline of a handgun in one of his front pockets, and no comment is made about it.

  3. Somebody tell Acosta if he would just report the truth he'd have zero problems.

  4. I opened the Don Surber blog today to find out what defense was forthcoming for the president's gross and un-presidential attack on Mika Brzezinski but this CNN anchor story took precedence.

When it comes to attacking female TV personalities, such as Mika and Megyn Kelly, Trump falls back on the "if it leads it bleeds" trope. (See more at Ann Althouse).

    1. No such luck gadfly. This blog is three-fold all the time: Media is Bad; Democrats are evil; Trump is MAGA. Lather, rinse, repeat.

    3. Hey, fly-on-the-wall, when flies get too obnoxious, they get swatted.

That's all that President Trump did with those irritating liars; he swatted them with the truth. Naturally the #FakeMedia reacts with horror! Why, this could happen to them, too!

You might ponder on that. It may help you achieve success in your life!

    5. And Kellyane Conway's face looks like it was hit with a shovel. Sarah Palin is simply a Nazi. Melania Trump is a high priced hooker. Shall I keep going?

    3. Two excellent points! By the way, a bit of Fake Trivia for you - The theme song (to be more accurate, the elegy) for the Defiant Girl was recorded by the Four Seasons in 1964. That song, Rag Doll, was the Number 1 hit for a couple of weeks.

  10. I would like to see someone run a tank over that stupid feminist defiant girl statue. I long ago 'OD'd on defiant, ungrateful, and disrespectful middle/upper class liberal feminism.

  11. Defiant grll reminds me of that naive us woman who years ago went palestine or some such to 'protest'. She resisted, yay! She ended up at a protest of some kind of development and met the bizness end of a bulldozer. Shes dead now. Gryl power rox

    1. 'Defiant Girl' is even dumber than Corrie, who stood out of view of the driver of an armored D-9. DG, standing in front of and taunting a wild beast, is just setting herself up for a posthumous Darwin Award.
