We have met the enemy -- and they are swamp critters

Growing up, I read the Cleveland Press daily, enjoying the comics such as Li'l Abner and Mr. Mum, while ignoring the serious ones. Pogo never interested me.

But now I find a use for him: to explain all the white noise and lies from the media.

The American people are draining the swamp of Washington, and the critters are angry. I am not alone in this belief.

From Conrad Black:
The whole point of the Trump campaign was the need for radical but centrist reform. He was midway between the Sanders left and the Cruz right. But he mobilized the angry and politically correct traditionalists, and much of the working and middle class, and attacked the deferences to both Wall Street and organized labor (especially the teachers’ unions), as well as the appeasement of the societally self-hating and faddish academics and Hollywood. At his heavily attended rallies, he singled out the national political media for its almost relentless disparagement of him and his followers, and for the soft ride it had given to the Obama regime, which — despite the great breakthrough of having a non-white president — was unsuccessful in almost every field.
You can see why Wall Street and labor leaders, academics and journalists, and Hollywood and Congress would be upset to see the water dropping.

They live a good life in the globalist, to-hell-with-country, friends-of-dictators economy we now have. Pallets of $100 bills flown at Obama's behest to gay-beheading ayatollahs in the middle of the night? No worry to the LGBT-loving crowd in Hollywood. That may open a new market. There's 80 million movie-goers there. Maybe Wonder Woman can wear a hijab in Batman vs. Superman II.

The steady stream of Fake News from the New York Times and the Washington Post shows that their reporters missed their calling. They could have been novelists.

Conrad Black is as optimistic as I am:
In this sense, and as I said to Craig Oliver and others, the media, by their malice and dishonesty, are, as Trump called them, “enemies of the people.” They are trying to illicitly subvert the president’s mandate. The brilliant appointment of Robert Mueller as special investigator — but not an old-time Watergate-Iran Contra, Whitewater lynch-mob-leading special prosecutor — slices the Democrats and the jackal media off at the knees. Trump lured his enemies to make and amplify hysterical charges. They will now be revealed by the mechanism whose installation they demanded, a special counsel, as unfounded and maliciously false.
This whole cacophonous babel of spurious allegations will crash. The president is not a suave man, but he is very tough and very smart, and his enemies are not. He will win and he will change America.
This is the cleansing of America we have needed since the elites got away with Vietnam. They hung it on Nixon who had actually won that unwinnable war. Then the Deep State of Deep Throat killed Nixon.

Trump was a young chief executive officer. He saw that. He knows.

Victories seem scant today, but they are there. Jim Geraghty, a fixture at the Never Trump National Review dared to ask the question that dare not speak its name in the halls of elitism: Where's the beef?

From Geraghty:
When Does All That Evidence of Collusion Arrive?
Thursday night, White House communications officials were eager to spotlight these comments from legislators, admitting or confirming, that they had, so far, seen no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Sam Stein, Huffington Post: “But just to be clear, there has been no actual evidence yet.”
REP. MAXINE WATERS (D-CA): “No, it has not been.”
Keep in mind, this is “Mad Maxine” Waters, who begins that interview by contending, “Lock her up, lock her up, all of that, I think that was developed strategically with people from the Kremlin, with Putin.” Right, right, there’s no way the Trump campaign could have possibly thought of that rallying cry on their own. That’s gotta be the work of Russian intelligence right there – you’ve cracked the case, Congresswoman!
Like Godot, it never comes.

We do, of course, have ample evidence that Hillary prostituted the Department of State to knock down bribes from foreign nations in the form of donations to her charity.

We also have ample evidence that Hillary mishandled State secrets.

But the press was her protector. Just as it had been Bill's. Now the press is the enemy of the people as reporters serve the elites, telling themselves that the people don't know what is good for them. Bill Clinton can spend their money better than they could. The press truly believes that people should be ruled by The Best and The Brightest.

And if replacing President Trump takes a few fabrications -- a fake Comey memo, a fake spilling of secrets to Russia -- so be it. Journalists live in a Fake But Accurate world.

Dan Rather's only mistake was getting caught. And he would have gotten away with it, too, if not for those meddling bloggers.

Oh, now you remember.

Don't let eight years of Obama get you down. We will be rewarded with eight years of Trump and eight more of Pence because it is going to take a long, long time to empty this sewer.

On November 8, 2016, the American people said, "Trump the Establishment!"

Now read the book that explains how and why the press missed this historic the election.

It is available on Kindle, and in paperback.

And then read the original, "Trump the Press," which chronicled and mocked how the media missed Trump's nomination.

It is available on Kindle, and in paperback

Autographed copies of both books are available by writing me at

  1. Be careful, Mueller is a close friend of Comey and is a swamp man through and through. BTW who is this Rosenstein? And the "both parties respect him" BS doesn't fly anymore.

  2. The msm are asking us, "Who ya gonna believe; us, or your lyin' eyes?"

My answer? My eyes ain't no way lyin', but YOU sure ARE.

  3. Jeffrey Rendall on had a terrific post on the 16th about DJT. What I loved was this:

To claim Trump breaks the mold of your standard politician is an understatement; there was no mold to begin with. Trump is forged from a completely different block of steely material…or from solid rock…or a composite of elements entirely new to the periodic table. There is no formula that represents him.

Trump the human being is the product of seven decades of learning at the hands of American culture and traditions. He’s so completely apart from every other president – and politician – that comparisons just won’t stick. It’s like we elected a president from another universe and watch as the media tries to explain why he doesn’t fit neatly into this one.

    1. Andy Jackson is the closest, since he ended the Founders and their off spring's control of our country. From history, it wasn't pretty and the establishment of the time tried to impeach him.

  4. I enjoy reading Conrad Black's articulate articles. I wonder how his speaking voice sounds? I'll bet he could talk the ears off from a wooden Indian.

Oh, by the way: President Trump just signed a $110 BILLION arms deal with the Saudis. Increasing our defense industry infrastructure, thereby broadening our manufacturing capacity and lowering future armaments costs, creating good-paying jobs, and knowing that the Iranians and Hezbollah will be on the receiving end of this array of weaponry. Win - Win - Win! - Elric

    1. Oops! That's $110 billion THIS year. It's for $350 billion over ten years. - Elric

  5. "Fake But Accurate"

Where International Rescue had "F.A.B.", the MSM's Unternational Press-Queue has "F.B.A."
