Bill O'Reilly went after the original fake Indian professor: Ward Churchill, a cretin who blasted the victims of 9/11 as "little Eichmanns."

But with Sir Rupert Murdoch turning his enterprise over to his sons, the cash cow of cable is being milked dry.
Roger Ailes is gone, a victim of sexual harassment suits that Fox used to settle as a cost of doing business.
Bill O'Reilly is next.
Then Sean Hannity.
Then maybe Tucker Carlson. I don't know. He can always morph back to his CNN persona of a wuss conservative.
The people who made the network a hit in prime time will be replaced by diversity choices who will create safe places for undocumented workers and transgendered heroes.
You know, CNN but with better graphics.
Fox News had a fun run. I stopped watching regularly a year ago when I realized its anti-Trump bias had become predictably boring. What I needed from it for my books on the bad journalism of the past election, I could pick up on You Tube.
I don't need it.
Neither do you.

The original, "Trump the Press" chronicled and mocked how the media missed Trump's nomination.
It is available on Kindle, and in paperback.
Then came "Trump the Establishment," covering the election, which again the media missed.
It is available on Kindle, and in paperback.
Autographed copies of both books are available by writing me at DonSurber@GMail.com

ReplyDeleteIn other words, ugly old white men who can't keep their unwanted paws off women are being replaced.
I'm sure you'd be so happy if your incestuous pedophile hero Lena Dunham got a prime time slot on Fox.
DeleteCrawl back into the perverted progressive fever swamp where you belong and enjoy yourself while you still can. You won't survive long under Sharia law
Regardless of the strength or weakness of the harassment claims, after you settle the first one I can guarantee that there will be more. Every woman who parried an unwanted advance or felt slighted one way or another will lawyer up and try to break the bank. It's death by a thousand cuts. - Elric
ReplyDeleteIt's death by a thousand femiNazi law suits: "O'Reilly looked cross-eyed at me and refused to talk to me so it's sexual harassment!" Funny how all the many, arguably credible, accusations of sexual assault that were made against BJ Clinton never got any traction at all with the Leftist media.
DeleteRupert was a heavy Clinton supporter.Boo hoo. Maybe he thinks people will keep watching because there is no other " conservative " media voice. I really don't know. I think losing Ailes was the biggest blow to them. He is far more intelligent than the Murdoch sons as far as I can tell. O'Reilly started his slow drift to the bottom when he began courting Obama to get an interview for ratings. He was treated well by Michelle and that was the end of his objectivity, if he ever really had any. Here in the town where he lives his picture is still in the post office. I wonder how long that will last. He did some good deeds, for sure. He said he wanted to get into heaven.
ReplyDeleteI can't stand to watch Brett anymore. He is now an establishment fixture and Krauthammer is the same and cares not. Macallum is all about her perfect haircut. Tucker yells and interjects a lot but his liberal enemies always leave unscathed. So long Fox News. The Fox Business channel is getting better. Charles Payne is pretty good and Lou Dobbs is improving.
It looks like Drudge is now the leader of the pack.
If you think Drudge is a improvement or leader. You need ready a reading comprehension course.
DeletePerhaps you are unaware of just who has been leading and sustaining conservative media and so the conservative cause for at least a decade. You know subject, predicate, subject, predicate, that sort of thing. Unfortunately or inevitably every other conservative "leader" has been eliminated. None of the dwarfs Trump ran against will make a comeback on a national stage, sad to say.
DeleteDrudge just parrots all the noise liars err news wires. Look at other options, Breitbart news is one as is One News Now.
DeleteAs for Faux, Don is IMHO wrong, may they never find peace.
I will be watching to see where Fox News goes. It is not like I have watched O'Reilly in years. But if the Murdoch boys think that morphing more CNN is the plan, they better get used to Fox's ratings morphing more CNN too.
ReplyDeleteThe solution to the demise of Fox is big, bold and most triumphant.
ReplyDeleteSurbervision! Surbervision! Party Time! Excellent!"
I don't watch any TV news, so haven't watched Fox. Far as I can tell, even more of the "same old, same old" is NOT the way to increase the ratings.

ReplyDeleteI've been watching Fox Business lately, especially during the day if I want news then. I like the focus on business as the driver instead of politics, it creates a better backdrop for discussions. Plenty of interesting guests, varied opinions, etc.
ReplyDeleteI particularly like Stuart Varney in the a.m., smart and funny, good stuff.
I've been watching FBN ever since the RNC last year. Looking at their coverage vs. FNC's was like day and night. Hard to believe they were owned by the same company! Now if they'd just give Tammy Bruce and James Woods their own shows.....
Delete-Fred
Special Report is still better than the other networks and Tucker Carlson is my go to guy now. FNC still reports on items that the MSM ignores. Don's reports help too.

ReplyDeleteI stopped watching Fox when that girl disappeared in Aruba and Fox covered it every day for months with absolutely nothing to report. I've been to Aruba. It's an island 7 miles long. All the affairs of the World and they spent months on one missing person on a tiny island.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot Cavuto.
ReplyDeleteBTW O'Really had been going wobbly for about the last 10 years. Supposedly there was a claim by some woman and I always figured the Lefties got to him.
I stopped watching oreilly when he continually and arrogantly interrupted all his guests. He was such a boor.
ReplyDeletelittle reason to watch corporate news when subject matter experts are readily available online for those willing to dig rather than being spoon fed
ReplyDeleteYou can't Cuck the Tuck!
ReplyDeleteThe only reason I continue to sporadically watch Fox is for the boobs. Andrea wears hers loud and proud - attagirl! And Kimmie Guilfoyle's make me wanna go WOO BOY HOWDY!! In fact, I think Rupert should change the name from FNC to FBC - the Fox Boobs Channel.
ReplyDeleteAndrea Tantaros hasn't been on FOX for, what, an entire year now? She was one of the first women to lodge a complaint of sexual harassment against Ailes and O'Reilly and filed a law suit against FOX.
DeleteI like watching Lou Dobbs on FBC. Also, RedEye (I DVR it) and Greg Gutfeld show on FNC. Cavuto is good, and I like his Saturday morning show, too, but Eric Bolling is becoming a PITA and overexposed (and overly self-impressed).
ReplyDeleteAt the end of the day (tribute to gasbag BOR) it's about ratings and money--something that millennial boys can't actually comprehend. Sometime around 1988 that gene was lost in the gene pool of American children.
ReplyDeleteThe 5 will drift off into space, without any substantial gravity to hold them; same with Eric B., who may eventually swallowing a barrel live on the set owing to his overwhelming insecurity. Tuckers smackdown of leftist loons is quickly becoming a one trick trick.
The 3 to 8 time slot is essentially CNN on barbiturates and scopolamine with Wallace continually embarrassing his father.
Given the past two years of nevertrumping, I never thought I'd end up looking forward to a Brit Hume sneer appearance. Chalk it up to the retired Florida syndrome manifesting itself at any Golden Corral.
I should add that William A. Jacobson at LI put up an interesting expose' last night on the BOR advertiser pressure, in comparison to the Rush attempted takedown--essentially a move by the left via Media Matters. http://legalinsurrection.com/2017/04/heres-why-rush-survived-pressure-on-advertisers-while-oreilly-didnt/
