Happy Brexit Day

Woke up this morning to England telling the European Union it was leaving -- Make Britain Great Again -- and the 18th Amazon review of "Trump the Establishment," and the 81st Amazon review of "Trump the Press."

What a great way to start a day.

First, the review of "Trump the Establishment," which covers the general election, from Just Jim:
Don Surber's Guide to why the Media failed ...again!
Mr Surber has done it again! His experience as a reporter and editor let us know how and why "our betters" knew no better when it came to Trump's campaign. By being honest and open, the author felt the pulse of the country and knew what voters were thinking, rather than what nationally known writers and pollsters wanted us to think. I cannot recommend this book enough for those who wish to know why the GOP and the Democrats failed to recognize their own failures when it came analyzing Trump's ability to attract voters.
Second the review from and anonymous customer of "Trump the Press," which covers the nomination process:
If you support the president you will love this book, March 28, 2017
Incredible book. Meticulously detailed and richly researched the author provides an amusing and comprehensive history of all of the times the "experts" got President Trump's candidacy wrong. The chapters are amuzingly titled with cultural references. If you support the president you will love this book; if you don't, the time reading it would be well spent to understand how POTUS #45 outsmarted the smarties.
Now then, these reviews are very encouraging, and I encourage readers to express their opinion of the book as well.

The reviews make me feel like I am part of something special.

And I am.

And so are you.

We are the American Brexiteers.

Brexit Day is a wonderful day for us because we who elected President Trump are brothers in arms with those who defied the media and the establishment to vote to leave the European Union.

Johnny Rotten supports Brexit? Of course he does. This is a punk rock movement. The establishment failed us, so we revolted at the polls.

All my life the Marxists have talked about people power. But when faced with it seven years ago, the Left mocked, ridiculed, and turned the IRS against the Tea Party.

And the last two years have seen what they tried to do to us for supporting Donald Trump. But again they have failed, and I have written two books about their failure.

We are part of something bigger. We go back to the Magna Carta, the Bill of Rights of 1689, the American Constitution, and the Gettysburg Address.

What part of "We the People" do they not understand? Must we go over this material again?

I thought everyone understood how this works: we hold elections and elections have consequences. Even the queen bows to the will of the people.

Why not the globalists? What makes them feel they are so special? They have money and own the media, so what?

If they cannot abide by the rules, then they are out of the game.

We the People, frankly, have taken on and defeated worse evils: slavery, Nazism, communism.

England is headed to the well-charted territory of sovereignty and self-governance, without some judges in Brussels decreeing what the British may or may not do in Britain.

The bozos in Brussels tried to declare that you cannot sell eggs by the dozen but must weigh them and charge by the liter. It is hard to be more institutionally stupid than the Environmental Protection Agency, so that is a sort of accomplishment.

Fortunately, British outcry forced Brussels to back down.

Britons governed Britain for most of the last 1,600 years without the help of Brussels. If anything, Brussels has needed Britain's help. Remember World Wars I and II?

America, too, is re-asserting its nationhood.

You can only push a people so far before they push back, twice as hard.

My small role has been to show how inaccurate, ineffectual, and intolerant the media has been through all of this.

I am glad readers have enjoyed my attempts to chronicle the mass media's epic failure.

"Trump the Establishment" is now on Kindle.

  1. Excellent post on brexit and well deserved reviews. The material for Volume 3 is becoming voluminous.

Love the people power smackdown too.

  2. I was a YUGE Sex Pistols fan back in the day, and what Lydon said put a great big smile on my mug. Pursuing national interest? Gee, what a novel concept. Bravos and high fives to our friends across the pond. Well played, mates!

  3. Congrats on the great reviews!

    Congrats to the Brits!

"All my life the Marxists have talked about people power." It's only talk; actually, it's a lie. They are the only people they want to have power.

  4. Kudos, Don. Somebody has to be that lone voice, crying in the wilderness.
