Busting Carson for what Obama said

HUD Secretary Ben Carson is catching some crap from liberals for saying:
It wasn't always easy for new immigrants. Certainly, it wasn't easy for those of African heritage who had not come here voluntarily and yet in their own way were immigrants themselves. There was discrimination and hardship and poverty. But, like you, they no doubt found inspiration in all those who had come before them. And they were able to muster faith that, here in America, they might build a better life and give their children something more.

Oh wait, that was what Barack Obama said on December 15, 2015.

No, here is the damning quote:
Our American journey, our success, would simply not be possible without the generations of immigrants who have come to our shores from every corner of the globe. We say it so often, we sometimes forget what it means -- we are a nation of immigrants. Unless you are one of the first Americans, a Native American, we are all descended from folks who came from someplace else -- whether they arrived on the Mayflower or on a slave ship, whether they came through Ellis Island or crossed the Rio Grande.
Oh wait, that was what Barack Obama said on July 4, 2012.

No, here is the damning quote:
And so what we wanted to do was adapt to the times, adapt to the 21st century, but also remind ourselves that there are some old-fashioned, timeworn values; that whether your forebears landed at Ellis Island or they came here on a slave ship or they crossed the Rio Grande, or however they got here, they typically had a commitment to hard work and a commitment to community and a commitment to family and a willingness to dream big dreams, and a patriotism that was not rooted in ethnicity but was rooted in a creed and a set of ideals and a belief that in America anything was possible.
Oops. No. Barack Obama again. On March 29, 2011.

In Harlem.

The slaves were not immigrants as they did not arrive here by choice.

But Obama said slaves were immigrants many times -- Bre Payton of the Federalist counted 11 times -- to push the narrative that immigrants built the nation and therefore we should grant citizenship to illegal aliens.

Now Carson said something similarly foolish and the left goes bonkers.

"Carson has long history of referring to slaves as immigrants," said Politico.

As does Barack Obama.

Only one got busted.

  1. The lies from the Left never end. The danger is that once said/written, no matter how many times they're refuted and/or corrected, the lie remains out there as a reference. And sometimes they even end up in classroom text books, like the probable destination of the two books by the Obamas, which will earned them $65 million.

  2. Only the Great And Powerful Obama (PBUH) gets a Grade-A, Number ONE!!!! PASS from the media, boot-lickers and heinie-kissers that they are.

  3. Black LibDem good, Black Conservative bad.

  4. If it weren't for double standards the Left and their propaganda arm, the Fake News Media, wouldn't have any standards at all.
