Like most West Virginians, I have relatives in North Carolina including two tweens. This story sickens me.
North Carolinians For Immigration Reform and Enforcement compiled a list of illegal aliens charged with child molestation in North Carolina in February alone.
The finding was "17 illegal aliens arrested for 37 child rape/sexual assault charges in NC."
A charge is not the same as a conviction, although some convictions are included in the report.
From the News Herald on February 1: "Man convicted of statutory rape. Ricardo Solis Garcia sentenced to at least 20 years in prison."
The girl was 13. He's 29. From the story: "Garcia picked up the victim at her bus stop on the morning of March 6, 2015, telling her he would take her to school. Garcia and the victim had been neighbors at one time, and although reluctant, she got in the car with him, the release said."
From the Fayetteville Observer on February 9: "Jesus Agustin Sanchez-Hernandez, 21, was charged by an Eastern District of North Carolina federal grand jury Jan. 5 with fraud and misuse of visas, permits and other documents, according to court documents."
Paragraph 5: "A couple months later, on Dec. 19, Sanchez-Hernandez was charged by the Harnett County Sheriff's Office with taking indecent liberties with a child and a statutory sex offense with a child by an adult. The court documents said he lived in the 200 block of Browns Church Road in Clinton off U.S. 421."
From the Winston-Salem Journal on February 10: "Julio Cesar Velazquez Arroyo, 36, entered an Alford plea in Forsyth Superior Court to four counts of second-degree rape and two counts of second-degree sex offense."
She was 8, he was 27.
From the Charlotte Observer on February 16: "A man from the Marshall Islands was sentenced to 18 years in prison this week for raping a Morganton girl. The Marshall Islands is an island country between Hawaii and the Philippines in the Pacific Ocean. Jerry Matthew Anjerok, 33, was sentenced in Burke County Superior Court after pleading guilty to statutory rape."
She was his 9-year-old stepdaughter at the time.
If things are this bad in North Carolina, where 350,000 -- or 3.4% of the population -- are illegal aliens, imagine what it is like in California, where 2,350,000 -- or 6% of the population -- are illegal.
And remember, California does not track immigration status.
West Virginia has the lowest illegal alien population with fewer than 5,000 -- or 0.2% of the population.
Let's see, take a group of men, deposit them in a nation where they have no regard for the law or culture, and expect them to be Wally Cleaver.
How dumb are we?
