Is Trump right on Sweden?

The media rates as False this remark by President Trump at his rally in Melbourne, Florida, on Saturday:
Here's the bottom line. We've got to keep our country safe. You look at what's happening. We've got to keep our country safe. You look at what's happening in Germany, you look at what's happening last night in Sweden. Sweden, who would believe this. Sweden. They took in large numbers. They're having problems like they never thought possible. You look at what's happening in Brussels. You look at what's happening all over the world. Take a look at Nice. Take a look at Paris. We've allowed thousands and thousands of people into our country and there was no way to vet those people. There was no documentation. There was no nothing. So we're going to keep our country safe.
Is the media correct?

First, from PolitiFact:
Was there an immigrant-linked incident in Sweden the night before Trump’s rally? Call it the "Bowling Green massacre," part II.
Sweden has let in a large number of immigrants and refugees. But we couldn’t find any evidence that indicates Sweden’s immigration policy is causing the types of problems with terrorist incidents that Trump suggested — and we couldn’t find any record of an attack by terrorists or immigrants in Sweden on the night of Feb. 17, or any night recently.
So, what really happened in Sweden on Friday? Not much.
Swedish officials were quick to share their dismay of Trump’s comments on Twitter.
"Sweden? Terror attack? What has he been smoking? Questions abound," Carl Bildt, a former Swedish prime minister and foreign minister, said on Twitter.
However, Trump later explained on Twitter that he referenced a report on Friday night on Fox News, not a specific incident in Sweden.

Well, we already know PolitiFact is a disinformation center.

So what is going on in Sweden?

From the Express, a British broadsheet:
SWEDEN is on the brink of becoming a lawless state as the police force is losing the battle against unprecedented levels of crime and violence amid a growing migrant crisis.
The Scandinavian country is facing an existential crisis with on average three police officers handing in their resignations a day.
If the alarming trend continues, and police officers continue to resign more than 1,000 officers will have quit the service by New Years.
Since the migrant crisis began last summer, Sweden has been hit by a series of brutal crimes and violent incidents.
In 2015 alone Sweden, with a population of 9.5 million, received over 160,000 asylum applications and the country is expected to take as many as 190,000 refugees, or two per cent of the population, by the end of 2016.
So yes, Sweden has a major crime problem with refugees.

By being imprecise, Trump has forced the American media to look at Sweden's immigrant crime wave.

UPDATE: Sadly the question answered itself in the affirmative last night as migrants/refugees rioted and fought police in Sweden.

  1. Anyone want to check my math? I make it less than twenty years till it's completely without police officers, assuming the loss doesn't accelerate.

    "Swedish Police Authority
Polismyndigheten: The agency is organized into seven police regions and eight national departments. It is one of the largest government agencies in Sweden, with more than 28,500 employees, of which police officers accounted for approximately 75 percent of the personnel in 2014."

The never (President) Trump folks should be rebranded as never learners. It is not unreasonable to think if you have burned your eyebrows off enough times from your concoction you are ginning up you may want to wear a face shield.

  3. Okay, let's see a show of hands: Who believes that rape isn't an act of terror? Gang rape? What about the rape of juveniles? Muslims have invaded Sweden. By right of conquest Islam says all of this is allowed. This is what they are taught and what they believe. And they won't stop until they win everything or are dead. Sure, let's let millions of them into the U.S. - NOT - Elric

    1. Yes, Elric. The Muzzies especially covet those natural blondes. Think Agnetha Faltskog from Abba. Hey, West Virginia's calling, girls. We have a shortage of blondes right now and will treat you very well as you begin a new life. Our only requirement? You need to learn all the words of Country Roads. Every single one.

    2. "Country Roads" is apparently quite popular abroad. Seriously. I've seen any number of YouTube videos featuring foreign dudes who sing the song with lots of gusto. There's the catchy melody, and perhaps many non-English speakers find the lyrics easy to learn.

    3. All over it, IA, My duaghter's over in Ireland right now (WVU grad) and she'll request it when she goes out to the pubs. The players know it, but THE PEOPLE do too. Even over there. Timeless song.

    4. When I lived in Japan and told people my folks lived in WV they all brought up "Country Roads." Every single one.

  4. I read his quote ... it's spot on. Sweden has been called the "rape capital of Europe". They absolutely have issues. In that context, I think his remarks were much more accurate than people realized.

Much like the MSM media denial of "no-go zones", they will deny problems in Sweden. But they are very real. Try "walking while Jewish" in Malmo.

They can play the gotcha game, but their bias is so obvious that people are looking for the real story whenever the media tries to make up a non-story nontroversy out of something he says.

I read the quotes, in fine with what he said. In fact, let's talk more about Sweden ... The press won't like what we have to say.

  5. "By being imprecise, Trump has forced the American media to look at Sweden's immigrant crime wave."

Still, he hasn't forced them to be truthful about it. They can't handle the truth, but they can lie and try to cover it up.

  6. "But we couldn’t find any evidence that indicates Sweden’s immigration policy is causing the types of problems with terrorist incidents that Trump suggested "

Did Trump use the word "terrorism" in his speech? No, he did not. So PolitiFAKE lied by intentionally misquoting him and framing the issue as one of "terrorism" instead of "crime" in order to mislead people. The deception was done so they could ignore the immigrant crime wave in Sweden. Swedish authorities work overtime to cover up the crimes of immigrants, and they investigate police authorities for hate crimes if they openly speak the truth about it. If Trump wants to keep criminals out of America by means of careful vetting of immigrants from some of the most lawless parts of the globe, I agree with him. There are plenty of other deserving immigrants waiting patiently and legally in line to enter the US who should get first priority.

  8. The irretrievable collapse of a European country or two may well serve as an object lesson pour encourager les autres.

    Perhaps.

    1. The question is, exactly who are "les autres"?
      The locals, or the "immigrants/refugees"?

  9. The problems in Europe are caused by the rate at which the refugee horde has been allowed to enter through what is now a borderless state, the EU. Most are unemployable so seek out countries with lavish welfare benefits, mostly northern tier States. In general the best would probably be the UK but the tunnel prevents their mass onslaught and the Brits were smart enough to attempt Brexit.
Trump is right to demand more and better vetting because he knows even then some radicals will get through, for which he will be eagerly blamed by a blood lapping media. The Democrats could care less about terror activities from Muslims. Every attack produces a backlash from everyone but them which serves their purpose of solidfying the Muslim vote. This vote could hit 3 million or more within 20 years. If scattered in the right way, as former dictator Hussein was doing, it could easily swing a state or two. The fact that the media supports this movement does in fact make them enemies of the people, or at least Trump like People politically, and everybody actually. The dirty truth is that mayhem and disaster for them are like rain for wheat when it is budding.
Trump may have been off by a day or two talking about Sweden but stay tuned.
The most popular 2016 Christmas gift for women in several of these afflicted countries was a wearable chastity girdle. Swedes will suffer more from their mistakes in spite of their craven master's denials and DT will be right on the money in no time at all.

  13. Former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt picks on Orlando/Orange County murder stats to counter the violence claim that Trump made about Sweden. It seems that the 167 murders in the Florida were 200% of Swedenns murder stats last yeat and the Swedes count a population of 9 million while Orange County has but 2 million. What goes without being said is that 50 of the Orlando deaths occurred in the burning of the Pulse nightclub by terrorists.

But rape and violence against women by migrants is not death, just living Hell and the Swedes don't report the incidents. its a liberal hide-your-eyes thingy.
