President Trump treats CNN like it treated him

Jeff Zucker has allowed CNN to become Fake News.

Today, President Trump refused to take a question from CNN, after it broadcast a Fake News story about Trump for hour upon hour on Tuesday and today.

The exchange as reported by Media-ite:
With Trump looking to call on other reporters, Jim Acosta yelled out, “Since you are attacking us, can you give us a question?”
“Not you,” Trump said. “Your organization is terrible!”
Acosta pressed on, “You are attacking our news organization, can you give us a chance to ask a question, sir?” Trump countered by telling him “don’t be rude.”
“I’m not going to give you a question,” Trump responded. “I’m not going to give you a question. You are fake news!”
As those on stage by Trump clapped, Acosta retorted, “Now, Mr. President-elect, that’s not appropriate!”
CNN is the least trusted cable news network.

The least.

From Rasmussen:
Among those who tune in to cable news networks at least occasionally, 42% say Fox News is the channel they generally watch, compared to 35% who turn to CNN and 19% who prefer MSNBC. These findings, too, are little changed from last year.
Among cable news network viewers who watch Fox News most often, 50% say they trust the political news they are getting. That compares to 43% of MSNBC viewers and just 33% who tune in mostly to CNN.
Why should anyone trust the network?

During the Saddam Husein era, CNN agreed not to report stories that made Husein look bad in order to keep its Baghdad office open.

The network then bragged about having the only news bureau in Baghdad.

Remember this from Eason Jordan in April 11, 2003?
The News We Kept To Ourselves
Over the last dozen years I made 13 trips to Baghdad to lobby the government to keep CNN's Baghdad bureau open and to arrange interviews with Iraqi leaders. Each time I visited, I became more distressed by what I saw and heard -- awful things that could not be reported because doing so would have jeopardized the lives of Iraqis, particularly those on our Baghdad staff.
For example, in the mid-1990's one of our Iraqi cameramen was abducted. For weeks he was beaten and subjected to electroshock torture in the basement of a secret police headquarters because he refused to confirm the government's ludicrous suspicion that I was the Central Intelligence Agency's Iraq station chief. CNN had been in Baghdad long enough to know that telling the world about the torture of one of its employees would almost certainly have gotten him killed and put his family and co-workers at grave risk.
Under those circumstances, Jordan should have folded the bureau.

Instead, he allowed his network to do PR for Hussein in exchange for a thing of value: a news bureau his competitors did not have.

How is that not bribing a foreign official?

CNN gave Americans a distorted picture of an adversary we went to war with twice.

But when it comes to the President Of The United States, no rumor is too absurd to be broadcast on CNN.

Well, if that president is a Republican.

CNN has been Fake News for decades.

President Trump shunned them. GOOD.

Please read "Trump the Press," in which I skewer media experts who wrongly predicted Trump would lose the Republican nomination. "Trump the Press" is available as a paperback, and on Kindle.

It covers the nomination process only. The general election will be covered in a sequel.

  1. "Not appropriate"...?

Not the sort of phrase you expect to hear from a bunch of whores.

    1. Hey there! Whores have morals. If it were not for doctors offices and hotel lobbies would cnn have any viewers?

    2. You left out airports. CNN: Worse than TSA, less, or just as bad?

  2. This incident warrants investigation. Who provided the "dossier?" Was it a leak from the intelligence community? Was it an "authorized" leak? Authorized by who? If it was discredited and CNN and BuzzFeed ran with it anyway its time to lawyer up. Their "Fake News" will eventually bankrupt them. Can anyone say "Gawker?" - Elric

  3. "will eventually bankrupt them"

First they try the sneak attack.

In desperation, later come the waves of kamikazes.

Then comes the devastating response. Twice.

Then the world gets to watch the Left's unconditional surrender on board the USS Trump.

    1. That's the thing (well, one of many) I like about DJT. He is not afraid to be human and scold those who have insulted him. Totally get it. He may well wind up being the most honest president we've had since Abraham Lincoln.

  4. I imagine that CNN may have a bit of a hard time getting White House press credentials, at least for the foreseeable future. As for flying on AF-1 with President Trump when he travels with the press pool, CNN should just forget about it. They're out of the pool! When he goes out of town, they will have to make their own travel arrangements. They'll fly coach with the hoi polloi they so disdain, instead of first class on AF-1. Too bad, reporters love to be able to claim they have access to the White House, or get to fly on AF 1: that makes them feel so special about themselves. Well, CNN is about to find out what it's like to be on the outside looking in...and the lesson will not be lost on other news media.

Trump ought to give 'em flying lessons. If they learn to fly before hitting the ground, well okay.

  5. Trump isn't attacking CNN--he is on the defensive, and fighting back. CNN started it with snide and rude lies about Mr. Trump ever since he declared in Summer 2015. Trump has been defending himself. Same situation WRT megyn kelly; Trump didn't attack her, he was defending himself from her ludicrous lies (that woman should not be able to get a job writing the weekly farm report for a flyover country newspaper....).

  6. Ain't karma a cast-iron b*tch?

    From The UK Telegraph:

"A former MI6 officer who produced a dossier making lurid allegations about Donald Trump is “terrified for his safety” after he was unmasked by a US publication.

Christopher Steele, 52, fled from his home in Surrey on Wednesday morning after realising it was only a matter of time until his name became public knowledge.

A source close to Mr Steele said on Wednesday night that he now fears a prompt and potentially dangerous backlash against him from Moscow.

Mr Steele, the co-founder of London-based Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd, prepared a 35-page document that alleges the Kremlin colluded with Mr Trump’s presidential campaign and that the Russian security services have material that could be used to blackmail him, including an allegation that he paid prostitutes to defile a bed that had been slept in by Barack and Michelle Obama.

His research was initially funded by anti-Trump Republicans, and later by Democrats."
