The Washington Establishment media has a sequel: The reporter who cried "dress shops are not sold out, nyah, nyah, nyah."
From the Washington Post:
Donald Trump says D.C.’s dress shops are sold out of inauguration gowns. Wrong!
From the Washingtonian:
Actually, Mr. Trump, Washington’s Dress Shops Are Not All Sold Out
From Taegen Goddard:
Trump Claims Washington’s Dress Shops Are Sold Out Ahead of Inauguration. This is Not True.
D.C. Dress Shops Dispute Trump's Claim That They Are 'Sold-Out' for Inauguration: 'There's Never Been Less Demand'
It's petty, pitiful, and partisan.
These are angry people who shoot at anything that moves. The ammo they waste further deteriorates what little trust they have with the public.
There's no levity. No proportionality. No shame. Just a plain meanness of spirit from sore losers who will be even meaner when their side regains power.
I hope that is a long, long, long, long time from now.
Please read "Trump the Press," in which I skewer media experts who wrongly predicted Trump would lose the Republican nomination. "Trump the Press" is available as a paperback, and on Kindle.
It covers the nomination process only. The general election will be covered in a sequel.
