DC media trivializes itself over Trump

Remember the boy who cried wolf?

The Washington Establishment media has a sequel: The reporter who cried "dress shops are not sold out, nyah, nyah, nyah."

From the Washington Post:

Donald Trump says D.C.’s dress shops are sold out of inauguration gowns. Wrong!

From the Washingtonian:

Actually, Mr. Trump, Washington’s Dress Shops Are Not All Sold Out

From Taegen Goddard:

Dress Shops Dispute Trump’s Claim of Big Demand

From Media-ite:

Trump Claims Washington’s Dress Shops Are Sold Out Ahead of Inauguration. This is Not True.

From People:
D.C. Dress Shops Dispute Trump's Claim That They Are 'Sold-Out' for Inauguration: 'There's Never Been Less Demand'

It's petty, pitiful, and partisan.

These are angry people who shoot at anything that moves. The ammo they waste further deteriorates what little trust they have with the public.

There's no levity. No proportionality. No shame. Just a plain meanness of spirit from sore losers who will be even meaner when their side regains power.

I hope that is a long, long, long, long time from now.

Please read "Trump the Press," in which I skewer media experts who wrongly predicted Trump would lose the Republican nomination. "Trump the Press" is available as a paperback, and on Kindle.

It covers the nomination process only. The general election will be covered in a sequel.

  2. Ha ha ha! The Lamestream Media doesn't even realize they've been trolled. But then again I reckon their expression of faux outrage at the President-Elect's remark is preferable to them than actually reporting NEWS. Pitiful and partisan they are, but I don't think it reaches the level of petty. They are WAY below petty. - Elric

    1. Actually they do realize it, but they argue Trump the Tweeter is not acting "presidential" enough. For them, appearances are everything. Substance flies whoosh, right over their heads, which is why they prostrated themselves for 8 years before Obama, whose blackness and well creased pants were everything, his failed policies and programs nothing. So while Trump is sending tweets to tweak the Streepers, out of sight of the media his transition team is laying the groundwork for his first 100 days of what I hope will be Shock and Awe.

    2. I recommend using MOABs (Massive Ordnance Air Blast). If the concussion doesn't kill you it sucks all of the air out of your lungs and turns them inside out. Imagine the peace and quiet we'd have without the MSM. - Elric

  3. But it's fun watching liberals wet their pants every time Trump tweets out an off-the-cuff throwaway line like that.

He should keep trolling them like that for the next four years.

  4. Oh man is this great?! I used to troll for lake trout in a boat when I was young. Some mornings I wouldn't get a single strike. Donald wets a line and starts pulling them in at the rate of about one a minute. Woo HOO! Big fish fry tonight, y'all!!

  5. Trump just baits the hook and the fish just jump into the boat, they're so eager to be had.

  7. I expect DC dress shops would not overstock ball gowns as most of the women are Dems who would not dare be seen at Trump's inaugural ball.

  8. A Trump tweet is like throwing chum in the water. Watch the bottom feeders make the water swirl.

  9. Well, I do hear that a lot of the Obama, and Hillary, people are having a tough time finding jobs. I guess for them, moving out of DC and back to their Blue states isn't a desirable choice?
