"Trump the Press" hits a milestone.

Thank you, readers. I understand that 50 Amazon reviews gets you some attention from Amazon, and today readers achieved that milestone.

Certainly an average of 4.96 stars out of 5 should.

The 49th and 50th reviews, in order:

From Archer:
Want to learn something?
I have enjoyed reading what Don Surber writes for many years. His current blog and its since discontinued predecessor, are/were daily reading for me. This book offers Mr. Surber the opportunity to expand on his insights. This book will be invaluable as a historic record of the 2016 Presidential campaign and election. The cataloging of all the mis-reading of Donald Trump by supposed political experts will be an excellent tool for the future. My personal observation is that many of those who were so far off the mark during the campaign have so far learned nothing. But the lessons are contained herein.
Thank you, very much.

From Bloggerusa1:
I love this book! Surber's 'history of the media failure' throughout the 2016 presidential campaign is filled with delicious wit and irony, encapsulating the willful ignorance and sheer stupidity of the pundits and press throughout the election. I read it with glee from cover to cover in one afternoon. Any time I need a pick-me up or feel the need for a bit of Schadenfreude, I'll read a chapter or two with a smug smile on my face...and gloat!
By the way, I said people will love this book and I think readers can attest to this.

And if you haven't, why not tell everyone at Amazon?

Why stop at 50? 100! That would be cool.

As for the sequel, It will take six to eight weeks after I finish writing to get it proofread and packaged. It likely will be the same length. So I should publish it sometime between the inauguration and Valentine's Day.

Still not sure about the title. Any suggestions?

Have a little fun. Read "Trump the Press," in which I skewer media experts who wrongly predicted Trump would lose the Republican nomination. "Trump the Press" is available as a paperback, and on Kindle.

  1. Without giving too much away, can you give us some parameters for the title, Don?

  4. Trump The Nation would be my suggestion. Congrats, Big D. It is an excellent read and took a lot of balls to write. He could've lost. But he didn't. Great job, man.

  5. Congrats on the 50th!

As for the title, I suggest keeping the 'Trump the...' as a sort of 'series title.

How about: Trump the Presidency - Don Surber's take on how the pundits blew Trump's first Presidential Term.

That way, you can come out with Trump 3 and 4 come the 2020 campaign, and (God willing) Trump's SECOND term. :-)

  6. Congratulations Don and we'll deserved...your blog is right up there as well.

As for a title for your new book...well Dave makes a point as to parameters, so I'll take a stab at something like "TRUMP AND TRIUMPH" (The Return To Sanity).

Of course sanity is a concept relative to the sane individual and what should be considered functioning societal norms...though one might see some outrage from the 'perpetually offended' crowd.

(That demographic won't be buying your book anyway!)

  9. Congratulations Don.
I think that a good title would be "Trump the Media" as it was not just the press. Or "Trump the Typing and Talking Heads" - but this is a bit wordy.

  10. Is the third book going to be "Trump:the First 100 Days"?

  11. Give us a fighting chance, Don. At least tell us what was in the glass when you came up with "Trump The Press".

  12. So long as it's not "Trumpling Out The Grapes Of Wrath", though the Gripes of Wrath have been seen across the land...

  13. "Hanging Out The Washing On The Mislead Line".
