Trump can be held accountable, Hillary cannot

Reason does not work in politics. Eight years ago when critics of Obamacare pointed out that increasing demand for a product raises its price, supporters scoffed and said we did not understand the economies of scale. That has to do with production, of course, but logic and facts are meaningless.

And trying to reason with Never Trump this year is just as futile. They are just as condescending as the Obamanauts, with the false sense of smug that a Prius driver has in West Virginia, where the electricity for his car comes from coal..

With Hillary we know what we are getting: corruption, communism, and incompetence. As Secretary of State, she sold out the country to the Saudis, the Russians and others

The media and the Republican Party protect her from being held accountable.

Yes, Republicans. They put on a great show but the endless Benghazi and email hearings were Kabuki theater, as the cliché goes in Washington. They resulted in nothing.

The FBI "investigation" was a cover-up. FBI agents destroyed evidence and granted immunity to anyone who might testify against her.

Just as Republicans protected her husband from his blatant act of perjury -- they did not even hold an impeachment trial as required by the Constitution -- so they will protect her.

She is invulnerable. As such, that makes her the most dangerous threat to representative democracy in our history. She will have carte blanche to do what she wants, more so than Barack Obama ever imagined.

With Trump you know Republicans will stand up to him. If he tries anything, they will be on him like Goldwater on Nixon. He will be impeached, tried, and convicted. Washington has no problem with having a President Mike Pence.

The media, too, will be on Trump's case 24/7 with their string of lies, half-truths, and occasional truths.

We do not have to worry about Trump being Hitler.

But Adolfa Rodham Clinton?

Big worry.

One of my readers (a physicist) recommended this piece by Dr. Jim Garlow, pastor of Skyline Church in the San Diego area: "If You're On the Fence About Your Vote." Garlow gave 18 reasons. Three of my favorites:
14. Trump will expose—and I pray, bring down—"the systemic evil" (crony, deceitful, misuse of capitalism) that reigns among many high-dollar lobbyists. Hillary thrives because of them.
15. Trump will stop the massive overreach of government. Hillary will extend it.
16. Freedoms come in "threes." Political freedom, economic freedom and religious liberty coexist together. Take one away and the other two will eventually disappear. One cannot exist without the other two. The genius of America is that it had all three, until recently. Trump fully grasps the loss of religious liberty. I have heard him speak on it in person on several occasions. He knows that economic and political freedoms are evaporating. He will reverse that. Hillary will decimate all three.
Eight years ago, I joked about re-education camps.

Now I am not so sure if I should joke about it with Clinton.

Please read "Trump the Press," a fun romp through the Republican nomination that skewers the media experts, by using their own words. So unfair of me. It's available as a paperback, and on Kindle.

    1. We are only screwed if we stay home.

  2. More like Josephine Rodham Stalin.

  3. Re-education camps are nothing to joke about. Hillary has already proposed them. - Elric

  4. Well, there are no more free LaVoys.
About 1 million vs. a whole lot more. With skilz.

    Let's wait till 11/9.

  5. And Kaine is second in line in corruption.

  6. On January 7, 1999, the impeachment trial of President Bill Clinton, formally charged with lying under oath and obstructing justice, begins in the Senate. As instructed in Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution, Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist was sworn in to preside, and the senators were sworn in as jurors.
    RE: history (dot) com

    1. It was NOT a trial. They voted. A real trial with a prosecutor, witnesses, testimony, a blue dress...

  7. I'm with Anonymous--I surely remember an impeachment trial. Fred Thompson from Tennessee helped prosecute the case, and that weasel Arlen Specter from Pennsylvania (who was a RINO that voted against Bork for the Supreme Court) voted the Scottish "Not Proven!"

  8. If Hillary Clinton has this level of contempt for the American public whilst still seeking to get elected, what sort of psychoses are going to develop when she's actually elected President? And what will come of them?

Trump as President would have his faults, but at least he wouldn't be some sort of Bond villain like Pussy Ka-boom.

  9. Awesome. Trump offers hope that we can turn this ship around and head back to being one nation under God with His principles guiding us, as it should be. Hillary offers a socialist government with elitist politicians ruling our every move. My vote is for Donald Trump. May God bless America once again. Wendy Casto

  10. We all know that all the Dems and what seems like most of the GOP are ready to nail The Donald to the wall, if given a hint of a possibility to begin to think that they could, with the encouragement of the baying lapdogs of the media.
