Susan Sarandon > National Review

Whilst the boys and girls in the Washington conservative commentariat feign principle in their opposition to Trump, left-of-Lenin actress Susan Sarandon gets it.

Recall this passage from a feature on her in the Washington Times in June:
“I believe in a way she is more dangerous,” the actress told The Young Turks on Thursday. “They’re both talking to Henry Kissinger, apparently. … She did not learn from Iraq, and she is an interventionist, and she has done horrible things — and very callously. I don’t know if she is overcompensating or what her trip is. That scares me. I think we’ll be in Iran in two seconds.”
The former “Thelma and Louise” star said voters are being “fed” a message that Mr. Trump is “so dangerous” when his promises on illegal immigration amount to a wall being built.
“I don’t know what his policy is. I do know what her policies are, I do know who she is taking money from. I do know that she is not transparent, and I do know that nobody calls her on it,” the Oscar-winning actress continued.
Sadly, Sarandon's prediction of an indictment of Hillary proved a false hop, one I shared with her at the time.

The National Review, Fox News All-Stars, and the like are frenemies. Dump them. They dumped us. They are not stand-up guys and gals if they did not graciously concede to Trump after a hard-fought battle for the nomination.

Friends are different. I understand a few Never Trumpers and the disagreement does not jeopardize our relationship no matter how cyber it is.

But if you make a living as a conservative pundit and you still Against Trump, then you are not conservative, and I have no use for you.

As for Sarandon, I am a married man (today being the 39th anniversary). But I am not blind either.

  1. Like some of the strange bedfellows in that writers and scholars group, this election is seeing crossovers of all kinds. https://mobile.twitter.com/enlundm/status/784334726035181572?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Tis is about libertarians crossing over for Trump in New Hampshire.

  2. Yes, she always was a looker and smarter than most actors.

She's actually got a college degree.

  3. I've been DVR'ing Carson on Antenna TV.

I learned a while back that Carson was a leftarded piece of filth.

That said, Susan Sarandon was on an episode I saw earlier this week from ~1982. She did not show any cleavage, so that was strike one. When she's not showing cleavage, I noticed that her voice was annoying--strike two. And then the inane marxist crap pouring out of her mouth was off-putting. Strike three. We fast-forwarded through the segment.

  4. Don't mention the "Phwoar!". Don mentioned it, but he thinks he got away with it.

  5. I think she's playing us, but I cannot deny that those boobies are way beyond tempting. My mouth fills up with saliva every time I see them. And she's only like 5-5 or something! I want Susan's fun bags and I want them now. Hahaha!

  6. She was pretty flat-chested in Rocky Horror. Now she's rockin' a "C" cup.

    1. From having a subscription & eagerly awaiting each new edition, I've gone to not even having a bookmark for NRO.

Over at Bill Quick's DailyPundit, a commenter said that he visited NRO & found very few comments on any of the articles, it was like a ghost town. Used to be hundreds of comments on most things there!

They well deserve to be deserted, they sold their souls. Principles, ha! They got none.

Congratulations to you and Lou Ann. My wife and I are about to celebrate our 51st, which will happen somewhere in the vast ocean between Bali and Papua New Guinea.

  10. Put those puppies away Susan. Speaking of which, the presidential campaign has now dropped into the gutter with vulgar talk from and about the candidates on both sides. This is what you always get with the g-d Clintons. It never fails. Whenever the they think they might lose, they and their attack dogs in the media drag you down into the muck with them.

    1. Trump the Vulgarian has managed to talk himself into losing the race. Loose lips sink presidential campaigns. Yes, Saint JFK screwed women the world over, and Bill Clinton raped dozens of women. The Democrats loved them both all the same. But Trump talked dirty about women and for that he is going to be crucified. He goes into Sunday's debate with two black eyes and no sufficiently apologetic arrows in his quiver. Hillary surely knew about the WaPo plans to publish this expose on Trump. Trump was wrong about her: she isn't resting this weekend; she's loading the AR-15s she will aim at him right between his eyeballs. He's done. It's over. At the debate, I expect him to make things worse because he has left himself unprepared to talk about important issues and is in no position to defend himself against his coarse behavior and attitude towards women.

    2. All he needs to do is remind us that saying unsavory things in the past is the worst we'll get from him, not that he sold out our children's futures for the sake of blind ambition.
He can also remind us that if it had been a Clinton caught saying those things the press would be saying that its just sex and can't we just move on.
I don't believe that people are as shallow as you believe them to be.

  11. This is perfect.
It gives Trump the cover he needs to attack Hillary and Bill on the same issue.
