PolitiFact owes Trump an apology

Donald Trump said on June 22 Hillary Clinton’s immigration platform would "create totally open borders." PolitiFact -- which shares at least one major donor with the Clinton Foundation-- immediately pounced on this remark to issue a False.

Now it turns out Trump was absolutely, positively, irrefutably correct.

From Breitbart:
In closed-door remarks delivered to a foreign bank, Hillary Clinton declared that her “dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders.”
The bank is Banco Itaú, a Brazil-based international financial juggernaut with 60,000 employees.

The actual quote from Hillary Clinton was “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere.”

Open borders.

Exactly as Trump said.

PolitiFact owes Trump and his supporters an apology -- and a retraction of its false claim.

As for the shared donor, the Daily Caller reported:
The Omidyar Network was created by eBay founder Pierre Omidyar. So was the Democracy Fund. Both Omidyar groups fund various projects of the Poynter Institute, which owns the Tampa Bay Times, Politifact's home base.
One of those projects — a partnership between Politifact and another group "to fact-check claims about global health and development" — was funded with $225,000 from the Omidyar Network. Pierre Omidyar and his wife, Pamela, gave $1 million to the Clinton Foundation's HIV/AIDS drug distribution program.
It was that Omidyar-funded Clinton Foundation program that was the prime focus of TheDCNF's report, which was inaccurately attacked by Politifact's Jon Greenberg, a former NPR reporter.
I no more expect an apology from PolitiFact than I do an apology for saying Obama was True in 208 when he said you can keep your doctor, which five years after the fact, PolitiFact called its lie of the year.

My new book, "Trump the Press," has no pictures in it.

However, is a fun read that details how the experts missed the rise of Trump. (Read the reviews in the right column.)

Please purchase "Trump the Press" through Create Space.

The book also available in Kindle and as a paperback on Amazon.

Autographed copies area available. Email me at for details. Also email me if you have suggestions for a sequel.

  1. I'm thinking the GOPe and Ryan need to kiss and make up with Trump or he's the only Republican I'm voting for. And they'd better hurry because I'm going to vote early.

  2. Trump is going to be vindicated on a lot of fronts.

At Paul Ryan's rally, people shouted, "Shame on you", until he left the stage for his hypocritical actions about the current "scandal".

    1. It's almost as if RINOs like Ryan were just waiting for an excuse to hammer Trump. If Ryan had any integrity, he would just come out and endorse his soulmate Hillary.

  3. Politifact: Strong on politicking; exceptionally weak on facts.
    Then there's this:

  4. As Commander-in-Chief, expect a President Hillary Clinton to sponsor a new GI Education Program.

Every wondered what it was like to miss the last chopper out of the US Embassy in Saigon? Benghazi Hillary'll learn ya.

Every wondered what it was like to have participated in Pickett's Charge? Deplaning-under-sniper-fire Hillary'll learn ya.

Ever think that you'd never loathe any Leftie more than Hanoi Jane? Reset-Button Hillary'll learn ya.

  5. Been checking comment threads. A lot of hate for Ryan, the Bush's, and GOPe out there right now. Many saying that they are sending money directly to Trump. Those turncoats had better be on their knees praying for him to win because their party is toast if he doesn't.

  6. My rule of thumb for understanding lefty outfits like Politifact is that their use of the word "fact" means a lie is forthcoming. I call it the "lie that will fly".
