Quote of the day

From Stuart Schneiderman:
The fact that you believe very strongly in something means that you believe in it very strongly. Nothing more. It also means that you have dispensed with liberality and the marketplace of ideas. It means that you have dispensed with pragmatic and rational thought. It also means that you are most likely wrong.

  2. My wife of 50 years knows better than to give me an ultimatum. She knows, pig-headed as I am, I might just take her up on it. We have similar views on politics, but we never discuss who we vote for. That's private. We value a certain amount of personal privacy within our marriage. It makes sense; it avoids pointless arguments that don't count for a hill of beans. The truth is neither one of us keeps a ton of secrets from the other, our lives are so boring and white bread, but if either one of us prefers to keep silent on some matter, so be it. Life goes on.

    1. I forgot to say that I never tell my wife when I am about to buy a new camera or new camera lens. I just let it show up at the front door, and what's done will not be undone: my credit card, my money, my right. In my best Mel Gibson "Braveheart" imitation, FREEEEEDOM!

(Then again, Wm Wallace was drawn and quartered for his rebellious actions, wasn't he?)

If he can still get it up, I hope she is good in bed. I would have simply told her, "Call your lawyer. I can no longer stay married to someone stupid enough to vote for Barry Soetero twice (As I'm sure she did) or for Crooked Cankles who is a fake feminist and everything she has achieved is because she has been married to BJ Clinton."

  4. To me, the quote of the day was:

"We knew you'd come!" to Trump in Baton Rouge.

  5. Well, I believe in God and Jesus VERY strongly. Do not be deceived; God is not mocked. Not sure I get that quote, Big D, but that's my two cents...
