Hatred of Trump pushed George Will off the deep end

George Will has gone from being wrong about Trump to being paranoid. He bizarrely accused Trump of being a secret Russian agent.

The background is simple. Julian Assange, the hacker thought by some to be working for the Russians, leaked DNC emails that show the party greased the skids for Hillary -- no surprise -- but also that Politico and other news organization allowed the DNC and Hillary to edit approve stories.

Fearing that this scandal may cost Hillary the presidency, Will waltzed into the Twilight Zone.

And yes, Will wants her to be president, of this there is no doubt. Will and the DC conservatives want her to win unanimously (as the deputy editorial page editor of the Wall Street Journal put it) so they can take back the party. They are as delusional as Ted Cruz. Nelson Rockefeller did not take back the party after Goldwater's debacle in 1964.

Will is obsessed.

On Fox News, Will went off the deep end:
BRET BAIER: Both the campaign chair and anybody you talk to, including Senator Murphy would not go down that road once pressed on the connection between Russia and the Trump campaign. But they have thrown it out there. George?
GEORGE WILL: Well, it's the sort of thing we might learn if we saw the candidates' tax returns. Perhaps one more reason why we're not seeing his tax returns because he is deeply involved in dealing with Russia oligarchs and others. Whether that's good, bad or indifferent it's probably the reasonable surmise.
At some point, a wise person would step back and ask, am I too vested in this race?

Will is smart, not wise.

  1. Like Donald Trump, taking payments of the sort Will is mentioning, would have those payments go into a bank account that would be known to the IRS? That's just ridiculous.

Trump just tweeted that he has zero investments in Russia.

  5. So George Will cannot engage in the same "looking from afar at disparate facts" game that drives Trump's attacks against opponents?

"You know, his father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being -- you know, shot....Right prior to his [Kennedy's] being shot, and nobody even brings it up. I mean, they don't even talk about that. That was reported and nobody talks about it."

And when Cruz commented on why he wouldn't endorse Donald, T-rump said: ""There was a picture on the front page of the National Enquirer, which does have credibility," Trump said to a room of volunteers and staffers in Cleveland, adding that the tabloid "should be very respected."

George Will is whole lot smarter and and a whole lot more stable than Donnie ever has been. George actually uses words with more than two syllables.

    1. knowing words of more than two syllables doesn't mean you know which ones to use and what order in which to string them together. Remember that intellectuals and pseudo-intellectuals sound identical. The difference is the intellectual can learn, and the pseudo-intellectual already knows it all. Has George Will learned anything?

Which only proves that a mind is a terrible thing to waste.

  6. Who gave money to the Clinton Crime Family Foundation when Crooked Cankles was SecState to facilitate uranium sales to Russia? And Trump works for the Russians?

Hey George - Go watch some baseball and STFU. You're drooling all over yourself.

  7. George Will has entered the Twilight Zone. There are Islamic terrorists who are saner than him. A total nutcase. So sad.

  8. If there is damaging info in Trump's tax returns, rest assured they will be leaked by someone in the IRS.

On Trump's returns, I have two theories- they would damage him, and they would not. On either one, Trump would be wise to hold them back, with a release late in the campaign to put egg on his critic's faces.

I think the second theory is far more likely to be correct for two reasons- first, being Trump he is surely under audit nearly constantly, so I would guess his returns are probably nearly spotless- second, were they otherwise, they would likely have been leaked last week (though that could still be done in October.

  9. Hillary will win the dem nomination. As soon as her polling goes south obama will have her indicted. It will give the dems a chance to select anyone but Bernie. They thought biden would work, but, they will select pocahantas. Remember bordello/lautenberg. Remember you saw it here first!

  11. The Cobalt Code

CRO clinical research is fast becoming a popular lab-based career that appeals to many research experts. A CRO works directly with pharmaceutical companies and they like to speed up the drug development process and simplify things, which is a huge benefit to large companies that don't have the necessary resources.

  12. Poor George. He's never been the same since that unfortunate ROTC incident when the command was given to "Fire At Will".

  13. If Will was as smart as he thinks he is, he would realize that this country is now embroiled in a battle between the elite and the screwed.

He, of course, epitomizes the rich, pampered beltway elite and he couldn't care less what the rest of us have been enduring as this lousy economy drags on and on.

Watch as he becomes a liberal hero, a "good" conservative, in the months ahead as he pounds the drum for Hillary. He's dead to me.

  14. George Will jumps off the GOP ship into the arms of the Democrats who have been paying his bills all these many decades, repudiating people who have been his readership and calling them idiots in the same breath, while Trump in those same decades has built a strong family and business ties the world over while the press desperately dumpster dives to find someone, anyone to say bad things about him. And yet, here we are. The only people willing to do so with even greater fervor than a hard leftist are Will and a few principled conservatives with aluminum foil headgear. Barfly needs to have her head examined.

  15. Will might have a lot of big words in his vocabulary, but he is a poster child for the out-of-touch elitist Marxist anti-American snobbery. Most people in this country don't know George Will from the man in the moon, and most of them that do think he sucks. He is shallow and a phony and has zero empathy with average, and below average, US citizens and families. Will and his fellow beltway snobs do understand how angry people in this country are about 'the system.' He's not fit to carry Trump's cell phone.
