Strong, independent woman whines that Bill O'Reilly isn't defending her

Megyn Kelly -- slayer of male blowhards -- is whining that the King Of Male Blowhards (Bill O'Reilly) isn't defending her dainty feelings in her feud with Donald Trump.

She said:
"I do wish that O’Reilly had defended me more in his interview with Trump. I would have defended him more. Honestly? People think I’m fearless. But I’m human. I was not looking forward to going out on that stage and dealing with Trump if he was going to attack me."
If you can't take it, don't dish it out, honey.

<

O'Reilly is not her daddy. It is not his job to defend her. She has a whole hour each weeknight to defend herself. He has his own show, his own cast of characters, and his own roster of guests. O'Reilly treats Trump the right way. O'Reilly is tough but fair. Kelly is not. In the first debate, she took jokes from Trump's TV show literally (and therefore, out of context) to confront him and burnish her reputation as a slayer of male blowhards.

But seven months later she has to do her show without Trump, who has been the biggest boost to cable news ratings since Michael Jackson's funeral. That is not a joke. Jackson's funeral drew 31 million. Trump's first debate drew 24 million.

From the Daily Mail:
In the April issue of MORE, Kelly talks about Trump's decision to skip the Iowa debate she moderated just before the state's caucus, saying she wished that her Fox News coworker Bill O'Reilly would have stuck up for her more when he spoke to the Republican front-runner the night before to try and convince him to take the stage.
'I do wish that O’Reilly had defended me more in his interview with Trump. I would have defended him more,' reveals Kelly.
'Honestly? People think I’m fearless. But I’m human. I was not looking forward to going out on that stage and dealing with Trump if he was going to attack me.
'I felt the pressure of that and the stress of that. But I also knew I would walk through that fear and I would go out there and I would handle it. I can muster up the courage in the difficult situations to get me through.'
O'Reilly has a good relationship with Trump. Symbiotic? Sure. No one is a virgin here. Kelly cut her territory as anti-Trump to goose her ratings. Fine. But actions have consequences.

  1. HA HA HA HA HA! Give Ms. Kelly a crying towel and an appointment with the Chaplain, then punch her T.S. Card. By the way, I didn't watch Michael Jackson's funeral, either. - Elric

  2. I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'Cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again

    3. Anon - What makes you think I'm against Trump? I'm for Trump. My comment was directed at Kelly. She's the one who is whining. BTW, I worked with women who wanted to be "one of the guys", but when treated as one of the guys would go off crying about being mistreated.

  4. Megyn should just do her obligatory porn vid, make big cash, and then get hired on The View. That's the logical career path.

  5. Kelly is Exhibit #1 why Carly Fiorina should be on the Republican ticket. Did you ever hear Carly claim "Female Privilege" as she campaigned? Did she ever whine it was unfair of the boys to pick on her? Did you ever hear her plead, "I need some muscle here!"? No, you did not. Carly has spunk. Unlike Lou Grant, I like spunk.

  6. Well...as a matter of fact, Fiorina DID play the gender card against our beloved Donald.

"I think every woman in America heard what he had to say about me" or words to that effect.

I mean, they ALL do it. Sarah Palin did it. She acted as if she was the only Republican that had ever been lampooned by the news media and so it must be "sexism".

I don't think this country has a chance of returning to constitutional government until it returns to having an 18th century electorate and a ruling class that matches it.

    1. There is a story about a pants clad Fiorina at a Lucent sales convention bringing her zipper down and then shaking a banana at the audience while screaming:" you want to see how tough I am?"

    2. Ah, but that banana was soft and flaccid. ;o)
