Remember when Ronda Rousey was the Greatest Fighter in the World? She said it. They said it. And then at Etihad Stadium on November 15, 2015 in Melbourne, Australia, Holly Holm beat her ugly.
In 2008, Hillary Clinton was a shoo-in. All the experts agreed.
Then came Barack Obama.
In 2016, Hillary Clinton was a shoo-in. All the experts agreed.
They learned nothing.
All those smart pundits in Washington are slow learners.
I do not go by the polls, I go by the pols. She is desperate. Her supporters are scared. All these pre-Baby Boomer ladies like Madeiline Albright and Gloria Steinem yelled and screamed at the kids (anyone under 65) to get off her lawn or else they are going straight to hell.
It is 2008 all over again.
What did they expect?
She learned nothing from 2008 when the Democratic Party leaders said they do not trust her, they do not like her, and she is not entitled to be the first woman president.
This time around, she is up against a trustworthy, likable opponent -- again. But she ran again this time without changing a thing. She still thinks she is entitled to the job because she put up with Bill Clinton's cheating on her. She failed to gain the trust of voters. She failed to become likable. Nixon changed both things and won in 1968.
Hillary does not know the 1990s are over.
Please, don't tell her.
As for Ronda Rousey, she can come back. Muhammad Ali did. But he did so by learning his lesson and changing his game.
Hillary is too Washington to do that.
