Liberal diversity

The people in charge of the monthly Philadelphia magazine are apologizing for running a cover on the city's schools that showed seven white kids, and no black kids. The school district is two-thirds black.

The Philadelphia daily newspaper had a story on it.

While the cover does not reflect the ethnicity of the school students, I am pretty sure it reflects the wealthy liberal readership of the city magazine, although I doubt many of them send their kids to inner city public schools.

  1. "wealthy liberal readership of the city magazine" is exactly right.

  2. My guess would be if the location and subjects of that photo were tracked down, it would be found to be no where near a city school, nor would those be city school students.

  3. "The school district is two-thirds black." See? Those are all _minority_ kids. . . ;-)
