What was he supposed to say, that Boehner flunked?

Kevin McCarthy, the apparent successor to John Boehner as Speaker of the House told Sea Hannity: “I think John Boehner deserves a B-. Now look, you may disagree with me — he won a majority, we’ve got the highest margin we ever had before, we lowered the deficit … but you know what? There is a lot more.”

Of course, the reality is voters gave him the largest Republican majority (by number of seats) and he did little with it in five years as Speaker.

  1. Boehner didn't "win a majority" any more than he made the sun rise in the east this morning. The record-setting majority was won by Republican candidates, many of whom then went to Washington and did exactly the opposite of what they promised.

And now Kevin McCarthy will probably be the next Speaker. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss, yada yada yada....

  2. What he did depends on perspective. A lot of independents look on it like gargling with gasoline. Only five years? Maybe Nancy P Lousy wasn't so bad. At least she admitted she was a scum sucking communist.
Like two sides of a coin. A WORTHLESS coin.
